The hotel moved us to a different hotel but only told us after 9pm upon check-in once we had brought all of our stuff there. We are travelling with a pet and despite this hotel being marked as pets allowed were surprised that we came with one and had booked us into a hotel that didnt allow animals meaning we had to more or less beg the receptionist to call the manager to get special permission to stay there as it was too late to find somewhere else. All that was needed was a courtesy call at a decent time and the problem would have been avoided. There is no way that they only just found out at 9pm and I very much doubt a client cancelling a stay at 9pm would been acceptable. They also mentioned that this is by no means the first time doing this so you may as well save some hassle and book somewhere else to begin with.
