Review of Bongo Bongo Divers 1*

For the ones who have no time for reading this comment all the way through, I will jus say one thing: don't second guess and go to Bongo Bongo. It will be one of your best experience in the Philippines whether you are a diver or not! They are simply awesome! We traveled for almost 5 months in South East Asia. We were told of the awesome diving in Dauin and Apo Island through a friend we met along the way. We ran into Bongo Bongo Divers because all the places within our backpacker's budget were full and what a surprise when we came in and we saw what this place is! The accommodation is absolutely fantastic with bamboo huts, some with and some without A/C (but very good fans), with the best beds we had without a doubt in the whole of South East Asia. Location is prime with 2 minute walk from the dark sand beach with stunning sunsets, the local beach dive spots, and 5 minute walk from (downtown) Dauin and it's small shops and market! Another absolutely highlight and the best of it is its staff: they are all simply fantastic and extremely helpful and flexible to make your experience in Dauin the best! We felt so cosy at Bongo Bongo that after leaving them to explore more of the Visayas, we came back to spend our last week traveling there. They will engage with you, involve you in the after diving drinks in the dining area and just hang out and talk about everything and anything… just like good old friends! With respect to diving, all I can say is: Apo Island is great but make sure to dive the Dauin coast with these guys because their eyes are as sharp as knives and you will find the smallest and weirdest thing you most likely will see in your life! All the guides and instructors are spot on and very professional! If you want to start diving, Dauin is a fantastic place and these guys will teach you well! And if you are not into diving, the guys can recommend you plenty of things to do around there so you won't get bored! Over and out!
