Lack of customer service. We went all the way from cagayan de oro for a hospital check-up. We were declined because our IDs got a different addresses, but we are living on the same house for almost 3 years already. We did not replace our IDs addresses because it is still valid, and it is a government IDs which is top hassle to change informations.

Very accommodating suites, they provide what we exactly need. I enjoyed my stay so much. Thank you City Garden suites.

Check in procedure was so slow! we came around 14:00 and its almost 17:00. I travel alot and this is the worst first impression I had in the hospitality industry. Never again!

Even local calls meron charges. Simple reason that will disappoint you. Only sari2 store will do that.

Nice place to stay in Manila, close to intramuros. Staff is very nice. We came in the morning and they allowed us to leave our luggages which was really appreciated. Room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant is quite good too. We enjoyed our stay!

Decent place to stay. We got a room for 2 at php2150/night (including VAT). Toilet is quite small. They have pork here : (so can't really enjoy their buffet breakfast. Besides these drawbacks, they offer a pleasant place to stay. Comes with an in-house gym! Very near to Robinson mall & halal eateries.

Always my go to hotel when I'm traveling to and from manila. Great staff and service is first class. Rooms however are getting a little old and run down needs a light renovation.

Our room reservation for April 17-18, 2018 through the phone with the reservations department was not booked because we arrived beyond the estimated time of arrival. The front desk told us to check Lotus Garden Hotel for an available room within our desired price so, while tired from our flight and the heavy traffic, I and my mom WALKED carrying our luggages to the Lotus Garden. It would have been great if we were offered transport or help with our luggages for the transfer but there was no help. Thus, we were discouraged. We ended though with 1 night stay at a higher price ranged room at the City Garden (since Lotus did not have a vacant non smoking room and) but we checked out the day after and searched for a new hotel.

Very quiet hotel and nice and clean. The room I was in was hella small though. They are rated a 3 star hotel so I expected better. Had to leave very early and they said they would have breakfast and a grab car ready for me at 5am, but never happened. Ended up having to get my own taxi. The food I did order the night before might have been good if it was hot when it got to me. But, it took well over an hour and a half to get to me. But, they do have a bed and it's clean and they are close to the US Embassy, mall of Asia, and convenience stores and restaurants.

This was a good hotel. Very convenient to local shopping, dining and the waterfront. It is not modern or fancy, but it is very clean and nicely appointed at a decent price. The staff was great and the food was good. The bar in the lobby was distracting but the restaurant was separated, which made it more comfortable.

We had our event here almost a month ago, and my colleagues and I were very satisfied with the way the coordinator and staffs complied with our requests. I really want to thank them for making the event flow smoothly. The function hall was set up early than expected so we just have to do the decors on stage and some modifications on the centerpieces. :) The food was okay, delicious enough to satisfy our taste buds. :) Looking forward to have our future events here as we found the hotel as value for money and met some of our basic expectations. My collegues and I also had an overnight stay (with different rooms) at this hotel. Rooms are great, clean and I really like the foods that were served on the breakfast buffet. If I were to give the verdict, the hotel and rooms are awesome I find it relaxing, it's very cozy and comes with a great ambiance.

We had our Christmas Party here. The coordinator didn't cascade the event details to their staff even though we already met twice before the event to discuss all details. All of them had no idea on the color scheme, setup, etc on the day of the event! The coordinator itself and their staff were all late even when we agreed to meet at 11am in the morning to set up everything. The event started at 3pm but we were still setting up the tables around 3:30 pm with attendees already coming in because they just started preparing at 2pm. Food were also super bland! I could say a lot more but you get the point. I dont recommend this hotel for events.

The staff here (especially the wait, bar, and door/security) are really the best you'll find. Been there off and on throughout the years while traveling with my dad (so he can meet with his other arnis teacher friend in Luneta in the morning), and they're just always wonderful people.

Clean, good and plentiful breakfast, Wi-Fi not optimal, very central location, approx. P 260. — to the airport, we had booked at a special price, but unfortunately a room without windows… all in all OK.

We were at the City Garden last Dec. 2017. Staff are so nice and accommodating. The room was clean and nice but no the stainless spoons on top of the table are used and dirty, although it was wrapped with tissue, when I was about to use it, there are stains of dried thing and oil in it… breakfast is not so good, we stayed for 2 days.

The hotel receptionists and the buffet receptionist staffs treats foreigners special than the local customer like us. We've noticed them prioritizing than us even that we're the first to inform we're here. Also happened in the breakfast buffet, so many people in the waiting area due to the limited restaurant space. The buffet staff said that we'll be called in order we came to the buffet area, but we noticed (also with fellow people in the queue) that some foreigners that came way later than us, still called first. The buffet area has always an empty meals that took so long to be refilled. The food are not bad but are not great either. Total disaster experience this new years day. Took check in and checking out an hour to be accommodated. Waiters and guards greets us always with a smile. Although the room & comfort room rating overall is satisfying, only their customer service satisfaction may need more improvements and pleasurable.

Not recommended. We came across a very uncompromising hotel. We arrived at the 5am so we were charged the additional 50% at night due to early check-in but without letting us enjoy the breakfast even though the rate included it and we were not going to be able to enjoy it the next day. After complaining we were offered a snack, but this was a joke because after claiming it twice it only included a ham and cheese sandwich (nothing appetizing) and an orange. Not even a bottle of water. On the other hand we were charged two towels because they had stained more than the account and were useless (the first time I happen this in more than 8 years I've been traveling) and when we said we wanted to talk to the manager, this one is not deigned to greet us. If we could go back in time, we wouldn't have chosen it having so many alternatives in Manila!

Hotel street is not clean. It is not on Main road. Rooms have only basic facilities. Complimentary water is provided only on request.

Not bad place for the price. Restaurant is really slow. Cleaning is good. Location not bad.

Nice place for a night. Hotel was accommodating, but surrounding area not so much.

It's ok. In the modern, renovated side of the hotel you can book a room without traffic noise & without a window. On the older side you can have a bigger room with a view of your neighbor's AC unit. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my stay. Didn't appeal to the squatters on the road or the scantily clad girls that emerge during the late evening hours. But what can you do. Oh, the Divisoria & Sta. Cruz jeepney passes infront. Robinsons mall is a 15min walk away. Taft is.

Their rooms are nice and clean. Good breakfast, good location but the area outside the hotel is not so good.

Is clean, but old looking. The mattress is good. The bathtub/shower definitely needs some improvement.

I booked The Penthouse for my family thru online and I emailed for some questions and City Garden emailed me back right away! Jade was the one who went above and beyond, communicated me very well via email and making sure we met all our needs for my family upon staying at this hotel. I highly recommend this place. Walking distance to St. Lukes Clinic, U. S. Embassy and Robinson. Wifi is super fast, I was able to video chat with my family without any interruptions. My family enjoyed their stay from checking in to checkin out. Thank you to all the staffs and most especially to Jade.

Me & My wife decided to spend our son's Birthday here at City Garden GRAND Hotel, I want to spend a whole day somewhere nice & special. We made the right decision to book at City Garden Grand.
Our room is very beautiful, comfortable & relaxing. Pillows are the best which made us sleep very well. You have to request the rooms on the higher floor for the better and amazing view of makati. And Its complete with everything. Even the bathroom is very Pretty, very clean I really love our room. I could stay & relax there all day without getting bored. And At the 7th floor where the Spice Cafe located has a sumptuous buffet breakfast (so yummy, the staff are well-mannered)
And at the 32nd floor where the pool is located, My family really love their pool! You can look at the city. I can't say enough good things! We are very satisfied with their services. We will definitely come back. Thank you!

Nice hotel … good staff … poor breakfast … but it's okay you can drink unlimited coffee tho. Not a safe area but Accessible to your needs.

The location is bad, it is close to Rizal Park and, if you like walking, intramurals but nothing more. There is a lot of poverty in the vicinity and gives sense of insecurity. Also from the room you could hear a lot of noise from doors and people talking.
Hotel Normal, simple rooms with antique but functional furniture. Air conditioning old and noisy but correct. A varied and correct breakfast, with attentive service.

Service was great. Room (bath) was newly remodeled. Great breakfast. Be aware they charge for extra guests, more than 2 in the suite. Only 2 guests allowed in regular rooms.

The breakfast was very good and the room was very old.

This place was quietly good. Enough time to having resting day, at this very moment were enjoying to taking some nap here, and the breakfast was really worth it, heavy and nutritious. And would like to thank all staff here they are polite, friendly, and respectfull, were gonna be back here some other time,, and think of it to recommend this place some of my friends… hopefully keep up the more good work to all employee here.

Before I came, I make an international call from my country to make an airport pick up arrangement, but the person who answered call insist telling me this is not her job, or this isnt under her control so she has given me another number to contact. I have difficult to make international calls in that week, it is just very difficult to make an international call successfully but she told me not her job. Ok, I called the number given by her and I tried many times just seem like this hotel has very good business and one is free to answer calls. At last I decided to use email since making phone calls is like wasting time. After 2 weeks I never received an reply. So I m here in the hotel now. The room is small, so much different from the website. The room they reserved for me isnt right for me since I am coming with family. I have to change on request. The staff seems like less aggressive to attend customer. Many food are out of stock from their menu. Even their lounge, looks creep, many type of drinks are out of stock as well. The shower heater is a bit hard to control, it is either low water level pressure with extremely hot water or high pressure level with cold water. Wtf. I am not sure I can stay any longer, I M currently searching for better hotel and hope my holiday wont got spoilt. One more thing to higlight, if you like bars and girls with happy ending, this hotel is surrounded with these services.

I visited the Manila Zoo with my fiance'e and her family — mom, sister, and four nephews — — in May 2011. The animals, such as the peacocks (witnessed mating dance! ), hippo (dining on a LARGE salad! ), huge crocodile (smiling as people flipped coins on his back for good luck! ), monkeys (dining on chips! ), were all VERY active that day! :) We LOVED the Manila Zoo — very affordable for an entire large family :) At the end, we had our pics taken with assorted sweet parrots — a zoo business that does well, perching parrots on our arms, shoulders, HEADS! :), for great shots! My only critique — EVERY animal needs a companion or may die of loneliness — PLEASE give the female hippo a companion, since hers apparently died years back! We loved the Manila Zoo! And highly recommend going there! Can't wait to return.
