Formerly known as Trader’s Hotel, Hotel Jen Manila might be an older building, but inside, it is well maintained and doesn’t “smell old” at all. Being a Shangri-La managed hotel, you can expect quality and thoughtful service from its staff, who are friendly and easy to approach as they are efficient. I would recommend staying in the upper floors and getting a bayview room, although I think the view on the other side of the hotel isn’t bad at all.

I was very impressed with the night staffs’ thoughtfulness, after 19 hours flight, Upon arriving/check in at midnight, a meal/dinner waiting for me.

Wonderful experience for my 2 nights to choose a hotel close to the airport heading back to US.
Ms. Tin at the front desk gave me a great view room and a late check out because of the time of my flight with a smile.
The breakfast and lunch was superb.
Sir Mark was a great host in the restaurant and his entire staff was excellent!
The spa was reasonable, professional, and great hands in there!

Nice room and very good service. I appreciate that they are very considerate to their guests, our booking should be May 11-12 but my son got sick, I requested if we can move our booking to May 12-13 and they were kind enough to grant our request without any fee.

Aircon conditioning was not working. Been sweating the whole time. Did not enjoy the halloween party at all. It was too hot and my son could not even stand staying in the halloween area. When we are about to eat it’s too crowded and no space to walk here and there to get the food. Disappointing and wasted money for the buffet as well.

Hotel Jen is my favorite hotel in the Philippines — conveniently located to the airport and to the historic areas near Manila Bay, I enjoy my stay there each and every time,. The rooms are attractive and comfortable, the pool is great, the view of Manila Bay from the 19th floor is spectacular. I enjoy the meals provided and especially enjoy the happy hour perks I receive. I truly enjoy my stay. Best of all is a very warm, caring and helpful staff — I am well-treated by them all Each goes out of his or her way to make my experience at Hotel Jen a good one. The Hotel Jen experience is also quite a good value, very reasonably priced. My favorite hotel in the Philippines; I look forward to many more stays there.

Room services was good. Restaurant services was nice. It would be tremendous if you also ask your guest their food restriction like halal food or else. Guest services also nice, very helpful.

Excellent service and amazing staff. Especially, Alex, the duty manager during our stay and Joan who served us in the Club Lounge. They were very accomodating and very pleasant. The hotel was very neat and clean. Food was great and Club Lounge access was superb.

Hotel Jen, the staff are very helpful, I've been there for a dinner buffet with my daughter. The place is very pleasing and not over crowded 'coz you have to make a reservation before going there. At the lobby, they have a place for an event organizer most especially for wedding. They also have a mini karaoke bar and a Japanese restaurant at the ground floor. .

We were very satisfied with our stay. As we stayed in the club room, we enjoyed our club lounge experience. The staff were accommodating and kind. I just have one complaint though. I booked for three persons and the service center advised that they will provide additional soap, shampoo, etc. For the additional person as my original booking was for 2 persons only but they never came. Anyway, we managed and everything went on fine. I just hope that in the future, the breakfast will have more variety of food to offer and there will be a convenience store within the hotel premises. We will surely go back if time permits.

Our brunch was not that perfect, the airconditioning is not working on that day, although the selection of food is not that huge but I must say the staff are nice and very helpful which is more important for us.
The kids enjoyed the ice cream, face painting & spent 4 hours in the pool.

Rooms are neat and nice. Our room had a nice view of the bay. But not so clean because you can see dust on the counter. Breakfast buffet is ok, not so amazing. But location is good to where we need to go to for meetings.

I love J Hotel Jen! It’s an excellent choice. I give it 2 thumbs-up for quality of bed — very comfortable; room ambience — very clean and very nice; staff service — fast and professional; and for the price is right. Highly recommended by Eva air staff.

Nice room and clean bathrooms, I didn’t expect that they have a lot to offer at the buffet breakfast. Will definitely be back. Price is very reasonable. The staff are all accommodating.

The hotel was clean and staffs were very helpful and charming. The amenities are very good and even the toiletries in the room were all included. The only thing that I didn’t that’s negative was the phone call charges. I made 1 call to a cellphone for less than 1 minute and they charged me almost 300 pesos and I think that’s very expensive. You could do better than that.

The staff were very attentive and professional. Every question we had regarding thr place was answered sufficiently. The breakfast buffet is filling. The view can be amazing at night. If you want to swim in their pool, make sure you have the right outfit.

Overall, we enjoyed our overnight stay here and I recommend anyone who consider staying in this hotel. However, I think the price should be less to be competitive with other new hotels in the area. The only thing I didn't like is the bathtub design, water from the drench shower bounced off the body and onto the bathroom floor, but the room was very clean and well maintained.

Room was nice and staff very courteous. I found the price point on breakfast to be excessive and the food good but not great. I also had a very difficult time with a $15 charge for the use of an extra bath towel. Ouch! Especially when not given the option by the hotel to use our towels for a couple of days at a time. The hotel opted to change them daily. So they are not being as Eco or cost conservative as they could be, but want to charge me for the use of an extra towel. Yet a one hour massage was like $16-$18. Does not make sense. Our room also had a very strong mold oder in it.

This was our third stay with Hotel Jen in Manila, we chose it, initially because of the proximity to the PICC where the Pediatric Society of Philippines convention is held annually. Our check-in was expedited early as a courtesy and we were able to go to our room immediately. We had booked for club privileges and made use of the lounge, the staff up there were most accommodating, especially towards our 3 year old son, who was made to feel special and they made sure he had his favourites each time we visited. Overall, we had a great time, the care and courtesy shown us was exceptional and we shall be more than happy to return again next year.

In a hotel, first impressions really last the first moment you step in to the reception desk. The staff are very welcoming. The room that was given to me was situated at the 17th floor and was spacious for two, too cozy, with a serene view of the Manila Bay and just perfect for a 3-day staycation/convention. The food was superb giving the satisfaction of my restrictive palate. The coffee /tea snacks at 2:00-4:00 pm and the cocktails from 5:00-7:00 pm were additional anticipated events for the hungry souls like me. And also, the encouraging view of the early joggers opposite the CCP Complex gives you the enough energy boost to enjoy a massive fresh breakfast after. I couldn't complain more. But just thankful for the warm accomodation typical of a real Filipino hospitality. Wishing you more clients to cater and satisfy.

As always, customer service is fantastic! Check in and Check out was a breeze and efficient. The front desk and all hotel staffs were warm, accommodating and cheerful. Room was spacious, fresh and clean! Though I hope they'll find a way to make it sound proof. I was booked at the 12th floor facing the bay view area and I still could hear ambulance siren most of the time. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. =)

Our experience was great. The staff from the security, the restaurant, the service desk, and the room attendants are courteous, accommodating, and service-oriented. Landmaster, my agent, provided excellent service, as well. We only had one pair of slippers in the room, though, but that is totally fine. I did not feel the need to inform the hotel.

Overall very nice stay. The staff were helpful and professional. The car park on the side is not so good. Room was good size, with all the amenities. A small book/brochure telling about the hotel and surrounding areas is expected but not in room. Carpeting getting old. I prefer an enclosed shower.

The staff, especially Abby at Latitudes and Ham at the front desk, are so welcoming and a joy to see again. Housekeeping did an excellent job, as our room was always clean and inviting each day. Pool staff were friendly and accommodating as well, and we love this large and deep pool. Thank you again! We look forward to returning in July.

The rooms, staff and food, just amazing. Breakfast is very good with lots of variety. The staff is very cooperative and understanding. Get the bay view room to have a good view of manila bay. The only annoying part is that you have to go through a security check each time enter the hotel. It gets more annoying when you are carrying bags or you are with kids.

Very happy to say this hotel and brand exceeded expectations. Staff very hospitable and friendly, very decent location not too far from airport, comfortable and well designed rooms and restaurant buffet food for dinner and breakfast truly amazing. The Club Bayview Rooms are a must choose and the panoramic views of Manila Bay along with the Club Lounge perks make for an absolutely brilliant stay. For a 4* hotel, value for money and enjoyment of stay — top of the list.

I find the hotel vey old. They really tried their best to keep it a 4 (or 3? ) star hotel but the feel is 80s/90s inside. Location-wise, there’s not much to do when you go outside the hotel. I find the surrounding area dangerous to walk especially at night. But let’s wait for the properties nearby to develop. I know Hotel Jen is an international brand but I find the rates not worth the money for what you’ll get.

The Staff service was Outstanding! Everyone from the Front Desk check-in, Executive Club Lounge and restaurant were most courteous and expressed a true concern that all our needs were taken care of. I only rated the Overall service a "4" due to the need for renovation or at minimum deep clean or replace carpeting throughout.

We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Jen. All the staff were so accommodating especially your security guards, people from the valet parking, front desk staff, restaurant staff and the staff accepting calls for inquiries. Very fast service and clean. Very convenient. I give you all a thumbs up and 5 STARS for excellent service!

We arrived about 7pm and our room was not ready. For a pre-paid room that had guaranteed late check in I find this unacceptable. The front desk asked us if we'd like to go and have supper while we wait for our room. We did not. (We wanted to relax and change first). After a flight we just wanted to get into the room. Nothing was offered to us due to the hotels error! It wasn't until my partner asked/prompted the agent for access to the club floor and a couple drinks/snacks that the front desk looked into this with management. After conversation they allowed us access. I believe it wasn't until 830 or 9 pm that we were told the room was ready. By that time our snacks had just come and we had another order in for more food as we missed dinner!

The hotel has a convenient location, a bit old but the rooms are decent. Especially the club room with access to the exclusive club zone. Where free alcoholic drinks and food. Many thanks to the manager Lloyd. Very attentive and positive staff. We wish him active promotion!

Hotel Jen is very generous with the room add-ons and I genuinely appreciate it. I feel the hotel, like most in the area, had seen better days. I would love for it to have some deep carpet cleaning though or better yet, change the carpets. It would make a tremendous improvement in the overall guest impression.

I jaz spend lunch here awhile ago w/ my family & I really like it we ate lunch @ Latitude & the food was superb. Even though they only offer a limited selection but the taste is on point. Love, love the rib eye steak cooked to medium well, like wat my ate opay suggested & it turned out great! The bread pudding is to die for I also love their other dessert offers, like I said the selections are few but they taste divine the only downside is their juices coz they only serve 2 variants and they are way too sour for my taste & the ice cream are not frozen enough but nonetheless the staff are attentive & always ready to serve, for me the service is impeccable! I will definitely come back for more kudos to the chef & the staff! So if you’re looking a place to eat near roxas blvd I highly recommend Latitude! Great food & great service, so wat are waiting for?

It was my 2nd year to celebrate New Year's eve in your property. Last 2016, my children and I spent Christmas and New Year's eve there as well. Like last 2016, it was a joy that Holy Mass was celebrated before dinner. This year, the hotel prepared something for all the Mass attendees. However, due to a previous arrangement in another venue, we were not able to partake. The only off we experienced was the homily of Fr. Larry Tan. I wrote in the notepad my comments about his biased homily on same sex marriage. It was uncalled for which made my daughter walk out during the sermon. Other than that, we were made aware that toiletries now are with charges if request for additional are made. This is quite odd knowing that we were booked for 2 days (Dec. 30-Jan1). I make decisions with hotel bookings based on previous experience, more over, Hotel Jen is very homey and my children finds it very convenient to stay since it is center to all. I ordered breakfast for my Mother, but there was lacking order which should be part of the Filipino package. This happened twice. But with the past experience, I am not sure if we will still consider. Thank you.

Check in was quick & efficiently handled. Room was ready when we came in according to our request. Hotel also gave free snacks after the evening mass w/c we appreciate very much. Staff was attentive to requests made. We look forward to visiting again, thanks Hotel Jen!

Last Saturday was our second time in Hotel Jen. We definitely enjoyed our stay. I particularly like having access to the Lounge. It's more private and I like the food. Staff was excellent. Will go back here for sure. Thank you for making our stay just simply great.

This is an incredible hotel top quality for so little money and world class dining, close to the heart of Manila City. If you come to Manila you have to stay here. Friendly staff do everything to help you. Everyone that comes to Manila, you should stay here.

Bed linen is a bit old, bathroom is not good, the design is unreasonable, the next day do not know why there is no room cleaning.

If you like enjoying the baywalk view, you’d like it even more when you’re in Windows by the Bay at Hotel Jen. What's great is this bar is open to public and with that, you'll get to enjoy a 180 degree view of the Manila Bay. . They offer great drinks and concoctions but if you are not into alcoholic drinks, you'll appreciate the Mandarin Magic — a cocktail that hides any hint of alcohol. On the other hand, if you like your alcohol strong, you might wanna pick the Margarita, more so, the Blue Royal. You'll definitely enjoy the drinks, the food, and most of all, the view.

Great service and clean facilities. The rooms are a comfort to the eyes. Staff are hospitable and friendly. I never got that "stare-you-from-head-to-foot" treatment which is very important for me. More so when it comes to comfort for your tired and weary self. And a complimentary breakfast tops off everything before you head out the door to start your day. Highly recommended.

The room is so outdated. The room feels like I was still in the 90's. Bathroom was renovated but they retained the old bath tub. The bath tub was painted unprofessionally and very poorly. They even placed a glass divider in between the tub and toilet but not covering the entire length of the tub so if you take a shower, the whole bathroom floor will surely get wet. They should have retained the shower curtains instead.

Location is good. The staff were great. Food was awesome. Can't praise this hotel enough. Will definitelt be back next time!

I loved this place. If I find myself visiting Manila again, this hotel will be my first choice. Helpful, friendly and accommodating staff, excellent breakfast buffet and evening meal choice in restaurant, very reasonably priced. Clean and comfortable room with excellent view looking towards Manila Bay. Lovely swimming pool and attentive, helpful staff. A longer stay would be nice. Good central location for Metro Manila and quite near Ninoy Aquino airport.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There's a 24-hour store, no rum in the room! So, if you look at the right, there's a Chinese inexpensive buffet Tramway. In front of the cultural center, there are opera-ballet performances.

I stayed in a spacious room on the 7th floor. The staff were very helpful. Checking in and out was quick and easy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Philippines.

I love this place. I enjoy my stay and I'll send my good customers there from Florida. I love there Japanese restaurant inside my family and I really enjoy it. Plus all the staff are working are very good helpful, plus safe. I will come on my next vacation.

The hotel is across from the Cultural Center of the Philippines and a few minutes away from the SM Mall of Asia. The staff was friendly and the newly renovated rooms were comfortable. The windows are angled towards the front of the building which made looking out across the harbor easier. A LCD TV, mini-fridge, and i-Pod dock were included in my room. Pricing was reasonable.
