Our first booking was cancelled because of Covid-19. There was another lockdown, and we had no choice. But we weren't allowed to get a refund. We were allowed to rebook it until the end of the year, so we did because we didn't want our money to be wasted. On our first day, at around 11:20PM, we were surprised to see that the gate to Elmar Cabin was locked. We didn't know why. Upon check-in, there was no mention of the gate being locked, no mention of a curfew. We signed a contract/agreement form with all the rules listed when we were checking in, and there was nothing about the gate and/or a curfew. We were ringing the doorbell, banging the gates, shouting, and calling all of the numbers they provided, but no one was answering. We started panicking when we saw people from the inside looking at us but not approaching us to tell us what was going on. Some valuable possessions were still inside our rooms, so we thought maybe we're being robbed? Maybe everything was a scam?
At one point, someone from the house beside Elmar Cabin came to us to check what was going on. He said we were being too loud and they couldn't sleep. We explained what was going on, so he started using his flashlight to catch the attention of the people inside. Again, we saw someone looking at us. The people inside know that there are people outside. But again, they didn't approach us. Even the neighbor who helped us found it weird. We started panicking some more.
Place is neat and comfy. Near Church of Christ locale of baguio city.
One comfty place to stay. Very nice staff and they serve good meals and nice blends of coffee.
