Costa Pacifica Baler

It was an awesome stay. The staff are very accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The food is amazing and big servings with affordable price. Plus factor is that they are a pet friendly and our pet enjoys walking to there gardens. I highly recommend this resort. We will definitely come back again. Thank you for the amazing stay. 😊❤️

Our stay was unfortunately disappointing overall. The room lacked basic amenities—no blackout curtains, not soundproof, no heater, a broken blow dryer, no iron, and no toiletries provided (not even slippers). Most of the beds were on the floor, except for the two double beds in the master’s bedroom. The pillows felt overused, and the blankets were very thin—similar to those provided on airplanes—so they didn’t have that comfortable, hotel-quality feel. Some pillowcase zippers were also broken.
The actual room looked very different from the photos. We came here hoping to relax, but we ended up feeling more stressed because of the condition of the hotel. It was our first time experiencing this kind of room, especially considering how much we paid for a family room—it really didn’t meet our expectations.
Cleanliness also needs improvement—the floors were dirty, the towels were discolored, and the shower head wasn’t functioning properly. We also had no water from midnight (April 28, 2026) until checkout, which was very inconvenient. For the price, the room felt overpriced.
On the positive side, the view is amazing, the staff were very accommodating, and the food was good—though breakfast options were limited.
Overall, we left feeling disappointed despite the beautiful surroundings.

Our family of 3 + pet dog enjoyed the accommodation, the pool, the food at their Beachouse restaurant and the general ambiance of the hotel and grounds. Costa is walking distance to good restaurants and the beach. All the staff were very courteous and accommodating to our needs. We hope to come back soon!

Rooms are dated, restaurant/bar didn't have many menu items available. Nice pool and beach access.

We stayed from Dec 30 to Jan 1 and got their new year package for Php25K for 2 nights in their ocean view Pacifica Suite, which includes a new year's eve buffet dinner.
Location of the hotel was great, it's beach side. It has it's own large and clean swimming pool right outside our room. However, rooms were quite old. Shower and toilet work fine, but our hanger rack fell the moment I hanged my towel on it 😅 Did not expect that for a reputed hotel.
Their new year package cost quite a lot, but service wasn't so great. Based on oir experience, it was written in our contract upon check-in that the new year dinner buffet is open 7pm til 12mn. We had dinner at around 7pm til 9pm, then got back at around 11:20pm for new year salubong. They didn't have any available drinks except for 1 type of cocktail, and when we asked to refill the pica-pica food on the buffet, they said it was no longer available. Why would you tell us it was open until 12mn, then close at 11:20?! Imagine my disappointment, I paid for a "New year package" and didn't really get to enjoy new year there. The package is a scam. It's overpriced, suggest you don't get it.

The rooms were relatively spacious, with a large double bed and an extra bed available. Google Smart TV with intermittent Wi-Fi connection. The air conditioning did not allow adjustment of the fan speed — it was either “turbo” or off. Very noisy when on, but it cools well. It was not possible to turn off the lights on the balcony, so we had to have a technician come to the room to remove the light bulb (a ladder was required).
Electric kettle and a small filter coffee machine, free bottled water. Refrigerator available, but it did not appear to be working. Large wardrobe. Large ceiling fan providing good air circulation. Somewhat poor lighting in all rooms in the evening and early morning (for us getting on in years 🤣). Only one key card per room.
The shower was pleasant, with both hot and cold water. Toilet and shower area behind a glass wall/door. The sink with mirror was in an open-plan area.
Breakfast was good, mostly Filipino food, but tasted excellent. There was a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant in the evening with live music and good service. A lovely outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers. A children’s pool was also available.
Beautiful view over Baler Bay. Only a few meters down to the sandy beach. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of driftwood and trash along the beach, which I am sure are remnants from the recent typhoons that have hit the area lately.

Ocean view rooms were not available and undergoing repairs, garden view rooms is just as nice and comfortable.
Hotel is showing its age but it's still at a great location for surfing.
Paddle ball court was also available so we gave it a try.

This is one of the better hotels in the area. Its good for friends and family. Its not just some random transient house for budgeted travellers.

I used to visit this back in 2015 when it was still relatively new. Came back last weekend and the place looked rough. Good thing that renovation is on going. Service is still top notch however! Looking forward to see the revamped place!

The service is probably what made it 5 stars for us. Although there is an ongoing renovation when we went, we still enjoyed how peaceful the surrounding is. Love how pet friendly the resort is with no additional fee. We were able to take our shih tzu and chowchow without a lot of unnecessary fees. The staffs are very helpful, especially kuya driver who even toured us around for free. The breakfast buffet is also good. We enjoyed swimming on the pool since our room has direct access to the kiddie pool. The view from our room is so nice and relaxing. The beach is clean and good for swimming or even surfing! The rooms are very spacious, has a bathtub, and although it is kinda old, it is still comfortable and nice. Our family enjoyed Costa Pacifica for sure and will be back again.

There were only three things about Costa Pacifica that might have saved this from being a one star review. One, its staff — they were mostly friendly and helpful. Some lack training, such as those in the Pavillon and the front desk staff, but the shuttle drivers and life guards were very helpful. Maintenance responded quickly (and more than once) to our requests for assistance when the blinds fell and the sliding door wouldn't shut. But they were generally helpful.
Two, its swimming pool. We were told it was newly refurbished, and while it was pretty and somewhat clean, the tiles and grout were already moldy. But its size and consistent depth were good for doing laps and hanging out away from other guests.
Three, the airconditioning in our room. It was strong and consistent, worked as it should and made the room comfortably cold. That said, it's pretty sad when the air-condition is one of the few things we can say we liked about this place.
Other than that — Costa Pacifica was a big disappointment and certainly not worth the price we paid. Its pictures look pretty online, and it probably did look like that — but 8 years ago. Today it is a sad-looking, run down ghost of itself with rusted metal roof lines, and cracked and faded paint. And it is in the midst of much needed renovations.
On the inside, the Pacifica Suite we stayed in was the most plain, generic white room that looked nothing like their photos.

When we went there the main lobby and other facilities were under renovation. Their rooms are in need of updating or reconditioning. Very satisfied with the service. Price wise it is a bit pricey for me and I had to add another 1, 800 because their rooms are limited for 3 adults but it can accomodate a family of 4. Our room was beach front and near the pool area which was nice. Clean rooms and strong Wi-Fi. Breakfast buffet is included in the price that we paid it is 5/5 stars for us.

Scenery: Very Relaxing.
Hotel Price: Pricey considering the conditions of the place… dilapidated floorings and ceilings.
Defective sliding doors and drapes.
Lousy restaurant service also noticed lots of outsiders roaming around the area (No exclusivity of the guest)
Open and unpaved parking.

Its worth the longggg drive from manila.
Front desk and Bell man was very helpful, courteous, polite.
Our room we've stayed in is huge.
The restaurant service was fast, courteous and the food is nothing but scrumptious.
The pool area is big with a kiddie pool and a child safe pool with reliable lifeguard.
Plus its on the beach in front and near at the baler town Square.
Exceptional, Excellent, Elegant among other hotels in baler.
Must and highly recommend.

Was a grand place once, but isn't any more.
The staff is nice, but not all that attentive.
The place needs a major renovation.
The Menu was fine. The Kare Kare superb,
Went there a Saturday night in low season. Live music started around 7pm and lasted less than an hour.
The ambience may be way different in high season. But we weren't super excited.
Prices however seem very fair.
And the outside spaces look appealing.

The staffs are very accommodating and the room is so nice! Perfect view of the ocean too! Even though we had problems on business matters, they were assisting us gladly. The food was okay too. Hoping for a successful business for them. Thank you so much for the stay!

Last year a beachview room was 5000P. This year my room with no view was 8000P.
The room door was sagging on its hinges and needed to be slammed with force in order to shut it. See video.

I set the AC at 16C before I went to bed because the room was hot and I had a late arrival. I woke up at 4:30 am sweating profusely. Aircon did not work. See video.

Obviously, I was not pleased. I asked for a room change.
The new room had no chair and the slider did not open at all. It was non functional.
135 USD per night.
Worst deal on any hotel that I have ever stayed at. (I've had hotels in 30+ countries.
Worst hotel experience of my life.
