Bugnaw Si-e Beach Resort

Gorgeous setting & v comfy & clean rooms. Lived the beach and the pool. Main disappointment was the food — it’s so hard to get anything healthy/balanced here — there’s a very meat-focused menu and even when I ordered a vegetable rice as a side it contained ham and prawns!

Wonderful setting with 20m pool by the beach. Restaurant overlooking, peace and tranquility ruined by the hordes of local wild dogs that are allowed into the hotel grounds.
Sitting on the deck watching one sunset 3 dogs came to us and then vomited several times over the deck. Disgusting!
Peaceful morning sitting by the pool enjoying a coffee… 3 puppies would not stop yelping! After 15 mins it made us decide to checkout and go to a peaceful hotel. I know they are only playing, but TOTALLY NOT what I pay for in a hotel.
Would be a 9/10 hotel if only the staff shooed away these dogs.
3, 000 php price for the deluxe with beach access rooms was a fair price.
Buffet breakfast beware the scrambled eggs VERY salty. Health alert! But ask the staff for fresh eggs, veggies WITHOUT salt.
Private beach delightful for an early morning swim before the dogs arrive.

Great hospitality and service from all the staff, from the security guards at the entrance all the way down to the waiters in the dining building who tend and help you with all your needs. Also room service was fantastic as well as the front desk who assisted us with all our room service and questions. Rooms are adequately styled and fitted with everything you need to have a nice comfortable stay. This is a special resort, one which I hope is discovered by only those who truly look and desire the magical Anda/Bohol experience ✨️

Great value for the price. Excellent location, what a great private beach! Great staff, lots to do. Quiet and restful, highly recommended!

The place is nice but it can get crowded during the day. Day — users are usually rowdy and noisy. The public beach in front is usually crowded and noisy. Food at the resto is decent and fairly priced. Employees try their best. Rooms are spacious but are not designed to keep the noise out and rain got into our room through the window gaps.

The resort is in a perfect spot, the beach Is pearly white sand, the pool facing the beach is vey nice. The rooms are just perfect for a family group. My only negative review is, it was not checked for some damage, our other room the shower head came off, good thing the one showering was not hit by it. Reported it right away and we already checked out and nobody fixed it. Also, with a large group that checked in, the rooms amenities lacks the number of people that will be using it. We requested extra tissues and towels but it took them a whole day and still nothing being delivered to our room. But with the place, the view and the pool is outstanding!

A bit of a hidden gem in an area where this level of accommodation is sparse. A complete surprise given the general lack of “non local” tourism in this area.
Staff/Service.
Five star efforts from all the staff we have encountered. Friendly, polite and accommodating in every way. English language skills are average as mainly local/national guests are the order of the day. That said, I don’t speak Visaya or Tagalog so no complaints on that from me.
Rooms/Facilities.
We only stayed in a “standard” room as the deluxe rooms appeared to be fully booked and the family rooms were way too big (and expensive) to justify staying in them. The fact that “deluxe” rooms weren’t available was strange as there appeared to be very few guests at the hotel and there are many rooms in the main block.
The rooms were clean, free of bugs, fresh linen and enough pillows, towels, with basic toiletries and coffee making provisions, a fridge, loads of storage space, smart TV, plug sockets. All you really need. As a vaper, I was pleased to note that you can vape (or smoke) on your private balcony, which every room has. Elsewhere on the premises it is not allowed, as it should be under the law in PI.
Pool is varying depths, well kept, clean with a full time “lifeguard” who appears to pay particular attention to kids safety. Well done that man. Restaurant is fairly large, limited menu but nowhere near here touches it if you won’t eat local.

Wonderful Stay!
We had a fantastic experience at this resort! The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, always ensuring our comfort. The private hotel beach was a great addition, with direct access to a beautiful public beach as well. The large infinity pool with an ocean view was stunning, and the well-maintained gardens and surroundings made the entire place feel like a tropical paradise.
The resort felt very safe, and the front desk staff was extremely helpful, even assisting us with booking ferry tickets to Cebu. Another big plus is that it's pet-friendly! They also offer transportation services, making travel even more convenient.
Highly recommended for a relaxing and hassle-free stay! 🌴🌊✨
