Hostel Sol Andina Inn

I recently stayed here and had an extremely disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share. I accidentally left a pair of expensive headphones on the bed when I checked out. I realised it very soon after, but due to being on a tour, I couldn’t return until the next day, when I came back in person, I was told nothing had been found.
Let me be clear—I fully accept that it was my mistake to leave them behind. That part is on me. But I also believe there should be a basic, professional standard in place: if a guest leaves something in their room, especially something valuable and easy to identify, it should be handed in by housekeeping and kept safely for return. That didn’t happen here, and the hotel’s claim that nothing was found is simply not believable. I am 100% certain I left them on the bed.
It’s extremely disappointing that something could go missing in a hotel room and there’s no process in place to ensure lost items are secured and returned. This situation makes me question the integrity of the staff or the hotel's policies regarding lost property.
Hotels are not just responsible for providing a bed to sleep in—they are entrusted with the security and honesty that guests rely on. This experience has completely eroded that trust for me. I want to warn others: be extra careful with your belongings in this hotel. Triple-check your room before you leave, because if you forget something, it may be gone for good.

It has a good location because it is on the pick-up or drop-off list of the Peru Hop. However, the Wi-Fi signal and bathroom facilities need to improve.

The Room was spacious. The Wi-Fi was not very good.
The breakfast in the morning was good.

Good attention. The warm treatment of the staff is recommended. My visit was exceptional. The staff exceeded my expectations with their friendliness and efficiency. The facilities were impeccable, offering an unforgettable experience. Without a doubt, I will return. 100% recommended.

This hostel was recommended by our friends who had stayed there a week before us. When we got there, they offered us a fair price for one night stay (50 soles with breakfast included). The room was clean, warn, water in the shower rather warm, internet working well. The staff was really nice. It is kind of them that they offer coca tea all day long. The breakfast was really abundant. I would go back there again.

During my visit to Puno I went to Sol Andina in, the atmosphere is incredible. Friendly and very helpful staff, excellent value for money, very comfortable rooms and included breakfast. Thank you Remigio for the hospitality, I recommend it!
