We stayed here as part of a G-adventures tour, no wonder they never listed it in the itinerary! We never expected luxury, however it was very cold outside and the heating wasn't working. The windows were dirty and only a single sheet of glass one of which was a sliding window and wasn't sealed, letting the cold air in. It's one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. My wife and I were both ill, not helped by the lack of hot water and heating that only seemed to work at random times.
We ended up quitting the tour as we feared this would be the quality for the rest of the trip. The breakfast was awful, some dry bread and old fruit and the coffee tasted like it was reheated from the previous day. The tour was with G-adventures, was very expensive and we'd saved our money for a trip of a lifetime and we had expected better quality than this. We will not be using them again.
On the plus side our tour guide, Fredy was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful.
The hotel was in a good location but they were unbelievably cold. Other reviews said that they only have the heat on for a few hours in the middle of the night. I asked them if that was true and they said it wasn’t and that we just have to turn it back on. That might, it turned off at 3:40am. I asked them again why it did that and they said they would have someone fix it. Later that day, they said it was fixed. But once again, it turned off at 2am. The lying was the worst part. If I knew the heat would only be on for a few hours, I would have showered during those hours.
Somehow, it was 43 degrees F (6 C) outside but 40F (4C) in our room. Taking off your clothes to shower at that temperature is unbearable. If they want to keep the heat on for only a few hours, then perhaps keep it on from 7-9am and 7-9pm so people can bathe.
I has here with a Gadventures tour and it was the worst hotel they have ever put us at.

This place should not even be considered a hotel. It should be considered a hostile. Although the service in terms of moving luggage and taking it all the way up, the stairs has been wonderful, we stayed here for a few nights as part of a group through G Adventures, and all of the nights in winter were cold. I woke up most mornings and it was 12° in my room. They only run the heat between 6 PM and midnight. But when they run the heat, they only run it at a maximum of 16°. Don’t stay here.
