Casa Andina Standard Puno

This is a small boutique hotel in a good location close to Puno'as nightlife and restaurants. However, it is probably only a 2 star hotel as there is no refrigerator in the rooms or no air conditioning and no kettle. It's ok if you get a room with a window to the outside lane, but otherwise the rooms are stuffy internal rooms. The hotel owns only 1 fan — so you have to 'bid' to get it for your room to ease some of the stuffiness in the room. These rooms are very bad for your health and really should be shut down.
The breakfast offerings are very small and thet get exhausted very quickly — no bread was left at 6.30am after 30 minutes of breakfast being open. Staff response was — "we've run out".
Probably best to give this hotel a miss when in Puno.

I stayed in Puno for one night on January 21st, and my group was truly touched by the experience. During breakfast, Shewas gifted the cutest llama doll and a slice of sweet cake by four staff members: Lari, Moises, Jimmy, and Milabros, who had celebrated her birthday, which she'd forgotten. Watching them, I was envious and wished I could come back again on my birthday. I'm writing this post to express my desire to return and the emotion I felt that day.

Stayed with my parents for almost a week. The great quality of its welcoming and helpful staff is what holds the reputation of this hotel and its brand.
Room size seemed excessive, with little space for clothing storage but lots of empty space. No kettle nor mini-fridge. Bathroom door was impossible to close without waking up others in the middle of the night. Toilet seemed incredibly low, with a rather uneven seat cover, and the bin (required for toilet paper disposal) was tiny for three people.
Breakfast felt rather basic. Fried or scambled eggs were made upon request but no other breakfast items like bacon were offered. Local bread was offered but couldn’t be warmed up. Fresh cheese would’ve been appreciated. The breakfast area always felt cold, and (disturbing) local TV newscasts would be played over random music.
Location is its other true convenience as it is just a few blocks away from Pino Park.
This is more of a solid 2-star hotel with space for improvement.

This hotel was okay, but nothing to write home about. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. We went to the restaurant for dinner and were not impressed. Service was slow and the food just mediocre. That goes for the breakfast as well. The selection was limited and the automatic coffee machine made awful coffee. No cappuccino available. Hotel is well-located, which is a plus.

Ideal location. Staff are fantastic. Nice breakfast. Good rooms with huge beds and good showers. Wi-Fi works great. Only criticism is lack of kettle in rooms. Also worth noting that there are no lifts.

I just stayed at this location for 2 nights. My friend I was traveling with was suffering from altitude sickness. While at the hotel she need oxygen several time. Jose was there for us all the time. He helped her get oxygen when she needed it, put our bags in our rooms, made sure the Wi-Fi was working, that we had filtered water and any other needs we had always with a smile on his face. He make our nights in Puno comfortable and special.
Also, the people at the front desk were also terrific. Overall a great stay.

Our room was large and spacious (and on the first floor). I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be wheelchair accesible based on the shower. It was cold in the room and since there was only one key, it was really inconvenient for one person to leave while the other showered since they could not get back in (you need the key to turn on the lights). Other than that, it was nice and there were extra blankets. The free breakfast was like any hotel breakfast although the shower could use a clean.

Very clean and spacious room and bathroom. No issue on the hot water supply.
Breakfast could be improved there were not enough replenishment on some dishes even it's at 7am.
Good location.

Very central to the main street. Good access to all amenities restaurants.
Ana was present at check in and was so helpful in the morning of our arrival. As there was a room available and as we were with children allowed us to check in early which made a huge difference in acclimatise to altitude and overall having a relaxed day.
Jomara was also very helpful with all our queries and with early checkout and breakfast.
Lisandro was also particularly curtious.
Finally the location was great as well.

We liked the location and the breakfast was quite good with different coffee options instead of just americano. The negative was the lighting fixtures inside the room that just never turned completely off. The glow kept me from sleeping and it was just too bad. Also, their hair dryer comes with a plug that is not compatible with their own power outlets. Good thing we had our own adapter… If you can overlook these two points, it is an okay hotel.

Hotel is standard but the staff is amazing! All employees were attenative and nice. Especially Abram and Mercedes, they always provide service with a smile and made our family very comfortable. It felt like we were staying with friends. I would highly recommend for any family looking for clean, safe and comfortable accomadations. Resturant is so good as well highly recommend the chicken sandwhich and lomo saltado.

If it is “one of the best hotel in Puno”, change your mind.
A terrible experience.
The staff at the reception was PERFECT, but the room was poky and with the moquette.
The breakfast was the worst I have ever seen and the waiters and waitresses were REALLY slow in cleaning and they did not help with some requests. Did you ever seen an international breakfast without still and sparkling water (I mean, not hot water)? I didn’t… I asked for it and the waiter went in the kitchen and came back with a SINGLE GLASS of water for me… but I don’t know where she got it (is it tap water? From a bottle? ).
The position of the hotel was perfect… but, then?

The hotel is quite good, with comfortable rooms. However, it could use a bit more cleaning. It was somewhat warm since there was no air conditioning, and there was only a small window for limited ventilation. On the bright side, the breakfast was very good, and the location is excellent.

Nice place, close to the shops and other sites to visit. Buffet breakfast was good with a variety of options to choose from. Staff were friendly and the house keeping was great. The free muna and coca tea really helped with the altitude. I would stay again if in Puno.

Hotel clean and well equipped. Rooms well designed and appointed. Communal areas were good. Staff helpful at all times… especially…
During our stay (not while at the hotel) my mother had a fall and broke her kneecap — the staff couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful. Reception and hotel porter staff particularly caring and went out of their way to help and offer kindnesses. It made a difficult experience far more bearable and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to them. Thank you.

My husband and I spent three nights in Casa Andina Standard Puno. The staff was really friendly and helpful, including a welcome surprise for my husband's birthday, and also providing their best help on our first night when one of us got food poisoning. The hotel is really well located in the centre and easily accessible by car. The buffet at breakfast is also really good with many veggie options.

The rooms are nice and clean, we are here with a group so not sure of the price. The staff are great, the only draw back are the eggs at the breakfast buffet (which is included in the rate) need to be cooked more, lol they are pretty runny for scrambled. No hesitation in suggesting you stay here for a basic clean and comfortable stop over.
