We stayed here for 1 night (with our 14 and 9 year old) on our way to see the Colca canyon and the place is absolutely amazing, the room is big, with beautiful views, heating, heated floors an amazing shower, the staff were always so happy to please us, we had the massages, the food at the restaurant was amazing. They also organised our transport and guide from Arequipa, wished I had stayed a frw more nights, highly recommend it 😊

This was one of our 2 favourite hotels on a 6 week trip. It feels isolated but is 5 minutes walk from the town centre. The room was light, spacious, with a high ceiling and very comfortable with underfloor heating. Wifi was VG but no TV. A nice bathroom, clean with lots of hot water and a private patio with views to mountains where we watched eagles for over an hour. Staff are very pleasant and helpful and the hotel is handy for the town church, hot pools and amphitheatre (well worth a visit). Given the room rate this was our best value for money hotel. Breakfast was simpler than previous hotels but still had a good choice, plenty of it and lovely homemade wholemeal bread. We dined in one night. Starters were excellent, mains were OK but nothing special.

A relaxing place in between hiking experiences. The accommodation is georgeous, nice units with a lot of privacy, very well equipped and nicely decorated.
Mega friendly staff, great breakfast and nice menu for a yummy dinner in the restaurant ‚Quinoa‘.
Very quite place, super clean and a real Juwel in the Chivay/Yankee area.

A group of 12 travelers stayed here for on night. What a great experience. Although my wife was not feeling well from the long bus ride, we paid for a couple massage, which was very relaxing and well needed.
The rooms have radiant heated floors, the rooms where clean and very comfortable. The view was great.
Its a hidden oasis in the middle of no where.

Through the hotel we booked a 3 day package which included transport from Arequipa and transport to Puno. Transport was in a 12 seater bus and everyone had different hotels and packages so it got confusing at times. We made various stops on the way, had lunch, own expense, and then taken to the Hot Springs before we were dropped off at hotel late afternoon. The hotel is very nice situated in a very quiet village. Restaurant on site and breakfast was included. The next day we were picked up and continued touring, seeing the Condors. We were dropped back at the hotel around lunchtime and organised doing the complimentary guided tour at 3pm. This was very enjoyable. The next day we were being collected at 11.30pm for our transport to Puno. Spent the morning walking around town. Due to roadworks didn't get to our hotel in Puno until 8pm. Overall really had an enjoyable experience. Most people only do 1 night but we really enjoyed the extra day.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for one night during our visit to the Colca Canyon, and we had an exceptional experience. From the beginning, the hotel's administrative team was incredibly helpful. They expertly arranged a seamless transfer from Arequipa to Puno, which included a comprehensive tour of the Colca Canyon. Their careful planning ensured that everything went exactly as scheduled, which made our trip completely stress-free.
​Our room was a true highlight—it was wonderfully spacious and thoughtfully designed. We had a large window and a lovely private balcony with comfortable seating, which would have been perfect for relaxing with a view. A standout feature was the radiant flooring, which provided a gentle and consistent warmth throughout the night, making our stay cozy and comfortable despite the chilly mountain air. The hot water supply was reliable and plentiful, which was a welcome luxury after a long day of hiking.
​Breakfast was another fantastic experience. It was not just a meal, but a delicious feast. We especially enjoyed the made-to-order eggs, prepared exactly to our liking. The buffet offered a wide variety of fresh juices, creamy yogurt, and a selection of teas and coffee. The quality and variety of the food were excellent.
​We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Colca Canyon. The combination of superb service, comfortable accommodations, and delicious food made our short stay truly memorable.

Our stay at the Killawasi Lodge was wonderful. The place is quiet, the rooms are big, with lots of natural light and great views to the Colca mountains. We went for a 2h walk with Jose, he showed us the Uyo-Uyo ruins and the surroundings. The food at the restaurant was outstanding. We highly recommend the lodge, we hope we can repeat soon!

Had an amazing stay here. We stayed 4 nights. Enjoyed massages on the property after a very long and hard hike in the canyon. The breakfast every morning was divine. The rooms are clean and simple. The town is very quiet but a stones throw away from Chivay which has more going on.

As a family outing we go away for a night every now and then. This time we went to this hotel in the Colca Canyon for the second time. The biggest advantage is that they have very comfortable family rooms with a magnificent view. The price is reasonable and the staff is friendly. What more could you want?

Killawasi Lodge was a GREAT find! We loved our time here! The rooms were large, very clean and comfortable. Meals were great, the staff was simply AMAZING! We took full advantage of relaxing and enjoying the beautiful area, we were glad we stayed for two nights, not just the typical one night trip most people do. We also did the hike up to the ruins, waterfall and then down to the hot springs, all just a great part of our stay.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting! Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and have great views. There is even a couple alpaca out back you can say hi to. We would have loved to stay here longer!

I live in the city of Arequipa. A few times a year I travel with the family 1 night to the Colca Canyon, to enjoy the hot springs of La Calera. We'd like to choose always a different tourist class hotel for the night. This time the hotel in Yanque. It was a nice surprise. Very spacious rooms with comfortable beds, and heating in the floor. Spectacular views from the room with a little terrace, complete with comfi chairs. The location is quite remote, on the edge of a small village. They serve an above average breakfast. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, which we didn't use. No TV, but a pretty fast Wi-Fi.
I made the last-minute reservation through booking. Com, which resulted in a somewhat strange communication. Still, we enjoyed our stay, and considering going back next time.

We stayed here for only one evening but were delighted by the lovely rooms, grounds, views, restaurant, and staff. Easy parking, and our room had a pretty patio. It is down a side street in Yanque. Check-in was easy and it was friendly. The restaurant was very good. We ate there for both dinner and breakfast. We’d definitely recommend if you’re traveling in this part of the country!

Killawasi Lodge is like a fine hotel at the altitude of 11200 feet over sea level! Our accommodation was spotless clean and very comfortable — we received interconnected rooms for our family, wich was very convenient. We woke up early to see condors, but the breakfast was available very early to fit our plan. The breakfast was simple but absolutely sufficient, tasty, prepared with care and gave us enough fuel to start our Colca Cnayon tour. When you consider location of the lodge and the altitude, the total quality of the accommodation and offered services is just unbelievable.
The lodge is located in outskirts of the town, so when you approach the lodge the area is not very nice, but once you enter the lodge, the views towards the mountains from suites and breakfast room are breathtaking!
Despite our booking was not refundable, Killawasi Lodge Manager agreed to modify it without any charge, as some people in our group were not able to come due to sickness. Kudos to Killawasi Lodge for service quality and customer — oriented approach!

This is a great place to stay in the Colca Valley. Everything was great: the hotel location, the room, the terrace, the landscape gardening, the food, the peaceful setting, and the service. I was also able to do astrophotography comfortably in the hotel gardens. I am also grateful to José, who arranged for a taxi to Corporaque on the first day, a tour of the Colca Valley, and a return to Arequipa with multiple stops from an excellent tour agency.
My only complaint would be that I did not understand how to operate the heating floor system, and that I felt that a lamp was needed on the desk.

Great place at the beginning of the Colca Canyon. We had excellent service at the restaurant. We have eaten breakfast and super 3 days and really enjoyed the food and de service. Also famous massage. We got a horse ride in the mountains where the view was magnificent.

Very nice facility overlooking mountains and the facility is nicely themed with many different types of orchids, good food and service. Food and Room rate a little overprice but considering you get good quality it's not bad. Roads leading to the to the hotel needs major improvement, but I guess the Yanque city municipality needs to do that, like they did all the roads and surrounding near the hot baths areas.
