Peru Swiss Hostel Hostel

I stayed in this hotel for extended time over a span of two years. Rooms are clean and adequate. Private baths. Excellent central location close to everything; restaurants, stores, hospitals and Plaza de Armas. Very safe area near the river. Owner Jose is extremely friendly and helpful with every aspect of your stay. Home like atmosphere and very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Stayed 4 nights in total (between trekks). Two nights we had steaming hot showers the two other was cold or barley lukewarm. The owner was a lovely and very caring man and his two workers were eager to help (they never walked, always ran, to get what you asked for) — IF the hot water was reliable (should have been, they have both solar and gas systems) AND they'd give us the towels and toilet paper on arrival, or ready prepared in the rooms (had to run down and ask every time). If they were on top of these two things it would have been ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for us.

This is a great inexpensive hostel. The hosts are really nice and it's very quiet. Hot water showers and a private bath. No breakfast, but there is a small kitchen with basic equipment to cook meals. Also very close to the plaza and a ton of other restaurants. Plus, great view of the city and mountains from the rooftop!

Very welcoming, the personnel is nice and very helpful, the rooms are clean and there's hot water (a little cold early in the morning though). They explained us many things about the tours around Arequipa and kept our bags while we were on a 3 day tour.

Great location only 5-10 minutes from the monastery and plaza de armas. The hotel has a beautiful roof terrace with a very nice view on the volcanoes (a. O. Misti mountain) where you can enjoy the sunset with (your own bought) beer. The rooms are not expensive and are value for money. Owner of the hotel was very kind and helpful in fixing a breakfast and arranging our taxi.

Cheap for private rooms, little dirty. Very accommodating front desk.
