Incredible stay! ✨ The bungalows are secluded in the middle of the Amazona‘s breathtaking nature. The interior is amazing — with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and a huge shower with an astonishing view. The staff is super friendly and the freshly prepared traditional food is super delicious (with individual needs and preferences being taken into account).

You will not be disappointed! Such a beautiful place tucked away in the jungle — what a treat to enjoy the tranquility, nature sounds, and epic views. Little details all taken care of. Food was delicious. Highly recommend!

Review on “Goctamarca Lodge – Cocachimba / Perú”
The location where the lodge is situated and the area around Cocachimba is undoubtfully breathtaking. Unfortunately this is nature made and has nothing to do with service and business.
The owners of Goctamarca Lodge seemed very nice but highly unprofessional and lazy.
I stayed three days.
For one thing the lodge (which contains of just two cabins, quite strange and lazy hotel policy in my opinion) is highly overpriced (2 nights more than 1000 Soles / about 250 USD). They did not clean the room at all, did not refill water, only made the bed, which is actually quite unnecessary), Internet connection is terrible. For that price non-acceptable.
More over the owners made false promises (four times), three times they offered me a lunch package to go for my trekking tours. One I actually got. The other day they were still asleep (after 8 am) while business was already starting. I had to take care of myself. Luckily I brought a bag of dry fruits and nuts. The last night they offered me again a lunch to go and a private taxi service towards the station where the pick up to the airport takes place. This was of course very important. O-tone: "We will organize your taxi for 7 am sharp, if no one will come we will drive you down there personally (translated from Spanish). " Again they were both asleep and did not seem to care a single bit.

The joy started when we arrived and were greeted by three beautiful and cute dogs (I'm a dog lover).
We were really amazed about this place! It has 2 guest cabins (more hopefully coming soon) that are so amazingly beautiful. Every detail shows how much love and dedication is put into. Not only the design of the cabins but also the details inside, like fresh plants and how everything is arranged.
There is (still) no internet in the guest cabins therefore you can focus on the beautiful nature from the huge balcony facing the Gocta waterfall.
The second surprise came at the owners cabin. On the terrace are two tables where guests can hang out or eat. There you can see that the love for details continues. You can not only have an amazing breakfast with fresh eggs, homemade bread and fresh fruit; the owners also offer lunch and dinner made by amazing cook Anja (owner) with love. The owners are amazingly friendly and helpful and we couldn't have enough of the cute dogs!
The very only thing that was a little difficult for us was the payment since we had not seen that we could only pay in cash (and we had not brought enough) We did not have peruvian bank cards and tried every cash dispenser in the next town but without luck. (Thankfully my parents live in Peru and could transfer the money)
But as I said it was the only thing that was quickly forgotten in this magical paradise.

Outstanding place. Gorgeous rooms, the comfiest bed and hot spacious shower with it's own beautiful view. A porch you can sit out on to look at the starriest sky you'll ever see. Mouthwatering food created with passion by Anja, the host. Both Andrew and Anja speak English perfectly and are a huge source of information as well as delightful company. We stumbled on this place when our van got stuck on a track and Andrew came to help. We're so glad he did because this place turned out to be heaven with the gate shut. Well worth every soles. The Wi-Fi is decent too and the 3 dogs are very sweet.
