We stayed here for 2 nights. Was super clean, air-conditioned and has friendly staff which is a gem in a dirty city like Colon. Thank you🌸
Located on the high street not far from the bus stop. Very clean rooms. The staff are extremely helpful and will give advise as to where to go and where to avoid. Raul the manager is one of the best we have come across. His goodwill and conviviality were exceptional. I am very surprised that this is marked as a 2* hotel on Google, definitely a 3+*. Definitely a place to consider when visiting the area.

I really liked "Hotel Internacional de Colón"! The room was really nice, very clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. My Spanish was really lame but that wasn't a barrier at all, they worked with me and were super helpful. I was there in mid-November and the Christmas decorations were in full swing: the lobby was a riot of holly, bells, wreaths and seasonal pillows lol. They also referred me to "Restaurante Bolivar" which was just in the next block, really great pancakes. Awesome!
As others here have mentioned, visiting the 6th floor balcony was great… very good view of the action in the harbour not to mention the goings-on in the street below. Was even able to see my Mum's cruise ship going by after clearing the Gatun locks!
The only downside is that the city of Colón itself is a little on the rough side. The sidewalks are highly uneven and would be a challenge for folks with mobility issues: one needs to pay attention. Having said all that, I wandered around on foot quite a bit during the daylight hours and enjoyed the time spent doing so. Folks were generally very friendly even though my language skills were so bad lol.
I don't know if I'll have occasion to visit Colón again, but if I do there is no doubt where I'll be staying: Hotel Internacional de Colón :)
