Platinum Hotel

How can I put it… I initially came to this hotel for 4 nights, and then I had planned to stay at other hotels. However, I had to cancel twice on site, at hotels that were supposedly higher rated and with more stars, because the value for money was not worth it.
So I returned to the Platinium Hotel, where I ultimately stayed for two weeks, and which is really very well located. The hotel is on a street overlooking Souq Al Khuwair and Maha Street, where many restaurants can be found. The beach is a 15-minute walk, the Grand Mall and Avenue Mall are 25 minutes on foot, and the Grand Mosque is 45 minutes away by walking. We did everything on foot. Additionally, Muttrah Souq and Qurum are only 15 minutes away by taxi.
Thanks to this ideal location, we ultimately didn’t rent a car. But the main reason we came back to this hotel is that we couldn’t find that same family-like, warm welcome anywhere else. The staff is incredibly attentive.
Even though the breakfast isn’t very varied, we really appreciated the service. In particular, the breakfast staff: Rajkumar and Schola, who impressed us greatly with their professionalism and attention to detail, as well as others. They were exceptional, attentive, and always smiling.
I will definitely come back here and recommend this hotel to my friends and colleagues.

Gorgeous hotel I would love to go back. The noise of the elevator was annoying from my room and the pool is the only problem. Comfortable bed and the rooms is beautiful. The food is delicious and full of flavour. Pool is great for the lazy days and some R & R with great views of Muscat mountains and the city. Fast Wi-Fi was great and so was the staff. Design of the room and hotel is luxurious and Beautiful. Great new destination to try.

The rooms is okay, Could be a lot better. Really boring breakfast!
But clean, nice view, super fast internetc good service and amazing location, very central and a lot of food options.

5 stars for location and staff. However, 3 stars for their rooms and services. I strongly believe in the hospitality industry, rooms and services are very important element that an industry must be serve to their guest.
1. The room was not properly clean. On day 1, when we moved the beds there were garbages underneath.
2. The linens were incomplete.
3. The pool is dirty, Jacuzzi not working, the steam bath and hallway (2nd floor) smell terrible.
4. The tea cups were not wash thoroughly (marks or stains were visible)
5. The gym equipment is very dusty and some of them is working.

Oman is a very safe country to visit.
We had a King bed, club access room. Breakfast was taken on the patio and the breakfast buffet was excellent. We used the club room for afternoon tea & cakes and the evening drinks and nibbles. Mr adars very help full guy.

Nice place to stay, perfect in case you need only bed & breakfast. The location is a big plus: currency exchange, stores, restaurants are near. The team of the hotel is highly client orientated. Was pleased to stay and to communicate with each member of the team. The only one thing I would recommend: the rooms need to be renovated.

It’s more like a 3 star hotel. Good for the price. Location is convenient, it’s surrounded by restaurants and shops. I got the room with a sea view but it's more of a city view with a slight glimpse of the sea. The Wi-Fi was disappointingly slow, and the bed squeaked annoyingly. The room was spacious, but floor did not seem clean. The bathroom lacked proper amenities, with only one towel provided and no hand or floor towels. Room service was prompt, but getting through to the front desk was hit or miss as they often didn't answer the phone.

My first experience. And it was pleasant. The location is in the heart of the city. Being a veggie, I am very choosy about the food and they served all dishes very tasty and authentic. The staff right from the pick up driver to the reception to the restoraunt was courteous, well behaved and cooperative.
