Beautiful hotel and friendly staff, deffo recommend.

Staff were amazing and very helpful. Lovely clean hotel food wonderful rooms were spacious. Enjoyed my stay. Would recommed this hotel and I will deffo be back.

Pleasant hotel with sauna and whirlpool on the roof. The service was good (special thanks to Victoria, a very helpful and competent receptionist).

Our room was big and spacious — and there's nothing negative about their rooftop jacuzzi.

It is good hotel at heart of Tromso. Everything work in a way you assume in Scandinavia. Breakfast and dinner were very nice as well as hotel staff was all friendly and responsive.

We had an amazing stay at the Clarion Collection! It was in a great location that was walking distance to majority of the sights in town. Although it was a little more expensive, they have afternoon waffles, a dinner and breakfast buffets that are real good. So whatever you might spend outside of the hotel on food, you will get a great deal by staying here. There's also a beautiful view from the rooftop jacuzzi too. Cozy and comfortable. When in Tromsø, stay here.

The rooms are adequate and the quality of service is at the proper level, the staff welcome. All at the proper level, there is a sauna, Jacuzzi, restaurant.

The outdoor jacuzzi is a highlight! We spent 2 nights there and enjoyed the central location, at short walking distance from everything around in the center, as well as the free afternoon waffles and coffee. Parking is available at an extra cost, daily rate being cheaper than the city parking daily rate.

Hotel near the city center, great view from the roof where you can relax in the whirlpool with boiling water, in the structure there is a gym and also the sauna, abundant breakfast, good food and quality, good prices.
Parking available on site with meter.

5 minutes walk from the quay to join the Hurtigrute boat to go north or south. Spacious clean rooms. Chilled atmosphere. Excellent breakfast, dinner slightly lacking but OK. Staff polite. Would recommend.

The entrance to the hotel is difficult to find (poorly indicated), the room smelled of smoke while it was a non smoking room, the decoration was in bad taste (table on the ceiling…), a sound of water flow was disturbing. On the other hand it is well located and the waffles offered for the snack are a real plus.

For seven days our home. We would come back. The staff is very anxious to solve all problems. Rooms are perfectly fine. What leads to the deductions? Outdoor pool was closed, and the shower section is very impractical, flooding the half bath. There, a rubber at the bottom would work wonders.
The location is excellent.

Good hotel with very very tasty breakfast. There's something sweet for free at noon. Most of the times it was waffles to make. Coffee and tea are free at any time. A light dinner is also available for free. You don't have the big selection in the evening, but very tasty. Mostly there are meat, fish and hot and cold vegetable variations.
An outdoor whirlpool, as well as a sauna and a small gym can also be used free of charge.
The really direct location in the centre at the port is top! There are also numerous restaurants, bars and cafes that will satisfy your appetite with delicious delicacies. Highly recommended.
The rooms are small but clean and cleaned regularly.

Attention: If you take a room on the 5th floor, you have a great view and can see with some luck to the northern time, these from the bed.

We had room 507 on the 5th floor close to the spa area. This was very convenient. In the spa there were changing rooms, some exercise equipment, a sauna with a view to the fjord and a jacuzzi on the roof terrace. Overall very well maintained. Unfortunately, in one day the towels went out. On request, no towels were added to the reception, only the answer was that one should take his towels from the room.
The rooms had a sufficient size. It was surprising that there was no closet or similar to keep his clothes.
The breakfast, afternoon waffles and an evening snack (soup and salads) were included.

Running expeditions in Northern Norway, I've been bringing my guests to this hotel for two years and average about 60 people each Nov to Jan. This does include my own additional extra nights between groups which I've also spent here. I used to love this hotel for its service, location and amenities although after this winter my opinion has sadly shifted. In recent visits small things have started indicating that the hotel is struggling, despite nearly always being full: — my guests have had to wait nearly an hour past the official check in time before they were given rooms as rooms were not ready. — empty tissue boxes in the bathroom of rooms has been the rule for this season. — poorly maintained rooms (broken desk lamps, dead wall clocks, incorrect chairs for desks, loose lights in bathroom, broken heating, no sink plugs etc). — not offered solutions or a change in room when these issues are raised, usually under the premise that they are always full. — the loyalty card system often misses nights which I've been unable to claim. By now I should have been a gold tier member but according to the Clarion system Im not even halfway. Another personal reason for not really wanting to visit the Clarion Aurora any longer is that despite the amount of guests I bring in a year (many who stay extra nights) and my own nights I've booked here, I have never been shown even the slightest courtesy.

Good hotel with delicious breakfast. For lunch there is free coffee and sweets. You can also have a light dinner, which is also free. It is not the big selection in the evening, but very tasty and you can save money, because Norway is relatively expensive compared to Germany.
The location right on the harbour invites you to explore the harbour and the city.
The rooms are clean and cleaned regularly.
From me there is a clear recommendation also with the background that there is an outdoor whirlpool, as well as sauna and a small gym.
The staff must also be mentioned as very accommodating and friendly!

Nice hotel, good views, good service. Only one major problem: room doors are not soundproof at all, so when everyone gets back from night clubs at three or four in the morning, the noise from the corridors will keep you well awake. Shame; otherwise it would be a solid 4-star.

The breakfast and dinner was pretty handy! Breakfast was the same all 4 days, but dinner varied and was pretty tasty. The rooftop hot tub in winter was nice, but it was rather foamy and needed cleaning.

Nice clean rooms, basic but perfectly fine. Breakfast is good, and the hotel provides a complementary afternoon tea and light dinner. Staff are nice. Location is great, right in the centre of the town.

Hotel is well placed. There is a jacouzzi on the top floor of the hotel. The breakfast is very good. The problem with the price C is the room, they are small and there is nothing in the room, no coffee, no shower product, etc. We had dinner included but they charged us the extra desert!

Great hotel. Great service. Great location and good breakfast service. If I have to look for a flaw the fact that there is no bar fridge. But better so I spent less.

Discrete rooms minimal Nordic style.

I stay quite frequently with the clarion group but I must state that this is the worse hotel I have stayed at, is given a room at the service alley which was small, old decor, drab. I complained and was moved These hotels are overpriced because certain ones in the chain give breakfast and dinner, I went for this option, one morning we had booked a trip which started at 8.00am which breakfast did not start to, but previously in the clarion With which is right next door they had no problem letting us grab some breakfast, but no this hotel wanted us to pay again to take breakfast with us. Generally the hotel s rooms are tired as well as the lobbys… Staff attitude not helpful, they stick by the rule book… Safe to say I would not recommend this hotel as over priced.

The hotel is in a strategic position in front of the pier from where all the sea excursions depart. Among the services were included breakfast, snack and dinner all of excellent quality. The rooms are not 4 star but we still found it very good. If we go back we would book again here.

Great hotel with excellent service! Breakfast, afternoon waffles and dinner included! Stayed two nights at the junior suite with my fiancé, and the room was top notch considering the price!

Nice rooms, dinner and spa. Gym could be better. Also it is weird that a hotel at this location has no smoked salmon for breakfast:)

Very nice Hotel with view on the harbour of Tromso. You get the access to the hot tub on the roof for free.

This was a fabous gem of a hotel in Tromsø for a reasonable price. Beautiful, comfortable, robes, great spa overlooking the harbor. Restaurant has a grwat dinner buffet and complete breakfast buffet. Ive never seem a complimentary nafternoon snack buffet before with make your own waffles! They had several gluten free dinner and breakfast optins, but limited gf smack options. I would stay there for sure next time in Tromsø.

Very very pricey. Bad sausages for breakfast but otherwise a good selection. A lovely bedroom and nice paintings. The lift and some of the rooms are styled like Northern Lights.

Very good hotel well placed nice room with sofa armchair free TV in the room. Saunas and gym OK for people with reduced mobility lift 5floor.

Great City Hotel with an amazing view, great stuff and Meals round the clock. Breakfast, Waffles and Coffee 15-18 and a Evening Buffet form 18-21.
The Jacuzzi on the roof is a dream.
The room was clean and space enough for a couple of days. You don´t have to stay in your hotel in such a city. Danke — Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The jacuzzi in the rooftop is a big plus. The central location is great. The waffle time from 15.00-18.00 also a good addition but mind the queue. The hotel in general is outdated, the room is old and the dinner is meh. Overall it was ok.

Superb hotel. Excellent location near Square, shops and harbour. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and warm, perhaps a little dark. Then an added bonus of superb food. Not only breakfast but waffles at 3 and an evening meal from 6 and all free. Thoroughly recommended hotel. Thanks for a great stay.

Free food is fantastic and saves loads of money. Location is excellent. Rooms are fine but views are either of a car park or another hotel.

Three meals a day with a harborside view! Centrally located. The rooms are spacious for a European hotel, though sparingly decorated.

I am staying here right now and we have had to complain that there has not been any milk all day and the hotel is only a third full. But the rooms are clean and comfortable as is the rest of the hotel. The location is great on the waterfront and the sauna and jacuzzi on the roof is great.

Have spent her Christmas and enjoy only the best that Christmas food a feast, the pool on the roof was a great feeling just when the snowflakes falling friends in the face.

Very nice and clean. Rooms lack some soundproofing, so you might hear noise from above or the hall, but it's not that bad. Very helpful and nice personal.

Really good service. Few rooms with any view of the fjord. Would personally prefer Rica next door.

Loved almost everything. Recommend. The time of my stay the hotel was modernized, so sometimes you can hear the sound of builders.
