We had high expectations given the hotel’s unique setting and reputation, but unfortunately the experience did not live up to them.
The stay was marked by lack of coordination during the visit, and several practical issues (including lunch availability, sauna access, and unclear breakfast times). Dinner was disappointing in both quality and service, and the breakfast felt unappealing.
Most disappointing, however, was the lack of follow-up afterwards despite multiple attempts to get in touch.
The hotel has great potential, but the overall experience does not currently match the price level or expectations.
We stayed here for two days from september 5 to 7 and had a most wonderful time. This is a beautiful hotel with a rare athmosphere, placed in a serene landscape setting with a tastefully cultivated garden. The food is spectacular with a good selection of wines and the best breakfast I can remember having had anytime in a Nordic hotel. Superb service all around, and in particular from Karolina and Elina in the restaurant. We'll be back, hope they then will have a selection of local beers.

We had a very nice stay at Dalen Hotel. The hotel is really beautiful and something you should experience at least once.
We brought our dog with us, and that was no problem at all. The service in general was good, and everyone was friendly and welcoming.
The breakfast was very good with a nice selection of fresh food, and everything tasted great. It was a perfect start to the day. There are also many nice hiking trails around the hotel, and the trails are very well marked, which made it easy to explore the area.
All in all, we had a great stay and would happily come back again.
