Hotel 45

This is the best hotel I've been to in Calabar. The interior is superb. The location is pristine, the compound is clean, the hotel staff are well trained. It's obvious the design of the entire hotel went through a deliberate architectural thought process. It's a great place to be.

Service was swift.
Server was nice and friendly.
It is pretty secluded, so gives the needed privacy.
However, movement is hard except you're driving or using Bolt or any other transport service.

Friendly staff but poor service — good people who could benefit from customer service training.
First, our check-in was delayed 1 hour 30 mins to allow AC repairs in our suite. The cleaning of the room was poorly done, we had to personally supervise the cleaner to get the entire room cleaned properly. Finally, they kept coming to try to repair the intercom at inconvenient times like when we were sleeping or taking a bath for 2 days in a row.

Stayed here for two nights, it was pretty alright, very big rooms, bathroom was spacious, there was hot water, lovely ambience, the food wasn't great though. The stew tasted like raw tomatoes, but everything else was okay.
Oh the only thing we didn't like was that they came to wake us up very very early the next morning to collect payment for food we ate the night before, not like we were running away 😂.
Also, the breakfast was rubbish, almost like we forced them to give us complimentary breakfast. Our second morning, the gave one very thin slice of bread, one egg, no butter nothing😒
But the room was very good, so they get 3 stars.

Wonderful place! Great food, cozy! I had a refund issue … but I must give credit where credit is due! The staff, the rooms is beautiful! As in most hotel there are minor problems,
But the staff is there to attend to it quickly’ quiet! As I mentioned outside of an “REFUND” issue every thing was perfect! Coming from the western country I highly recommend this cut of place! If you’re looking for something secluded not much noise! Great food! And staff! Yes! Affordable.

I love this hotel. The staff are great. It is clean and in a serene and secured environment. The food is great too and they offer complimentary breakfast.
A regular meal price ranges from N1500 — N2500. I was given good discount for my long stay.
The only issue I have was that their electricity is not 24hrs and they (the staff) hold very loud and long morning devotion daily😪 which I complained about.
I hope they work on these two areas.
