The location is great and the staff very helpful. The room is clean, but unfortunately there is not much circulation of air and the two fans don't really help. Breakfast was good, but nothing special. For the price you pay you get the best value. We would book here again!

I stayed in this hostel 4 times already and I intend to continue doing it, has all the facilities, restaurant, bar, Internet, 75 meters from the beach, very central, the staff is very friendly and dedicated.

Cute little rooms with a AC, mini fridge, microwave, hot water for showers, living area, bunk beds, and Wi-Fi. Only 1 block from the ocean, and on the main shopping street.

The best low price place in whole San Juan Del Sur, due to their staff and service if there would be a six star I would definitely give it to them!

When you are at Rositas hotel you are with family. The rooms are clean, and quiet. The prices are far below what you would expect for half a block from the beach. Have visited Rositas in the past and, will visit again in the future. Thank you Rosita.

We loved our stay at Rositas. The staff is friendly, the room is ok but we have appreciated the A. C. Lots of place to put our clothes in a closet. Nice terrace to sit outside and drink some beers at night. Food is ok. We have tried the Nica breakfast and cheap 80 cordobas.

The room was comfortable and clean. There is hot water :) in the shower although it is pretty hot here. Good value for the money. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We used their laundry service which was cheep and good. Location wise the hotel is near to the beach and the central streets so everything you need is just a walking distance.

This is the cheapest place we found to stay the night that still had all the amenities we needed. For $36USD we got a private room with A/C, a TV, mini-fridge, small sink, and full bathroom. The staff were also the most accommodating out of the 5 other places we stayed at while in San Juan Del Sur. Unfortunately the hotel ran out of water on our last night but Rosita had no problem giving us a refund. Definitely worth checking out if you want some of the comforts of home on a budget.

Very friendly staff that can speak English! Rooms decently priced and included a fridge, microwave, double bed with a single bunk bed on top. We ended up sleeping in late one day and a staff member came by and did a wellness check to make sure we were okay! They use reserve water supply so the water pressure isn't the greatest and we were unable to shower because of such little water pressure. Other than that the Wi-Fi was amazing and there was a communal kitchen and included free breakfast. There is a cafe/restaurant upstairs as well!

Really great hotel. Awesome rooms. Try and get the upstairs room. Beach at your feet, bar and restaurant. Will definitely return if I can.

This is a great place. The rooms are affordable and great condition. I surely visit the hotel in the future.

Great value for the money. It's all about the little things; backup power, backup internet, back up water, coffee 24 hours a day, gated entry, long-term friendly and knowledgeable employees, on-site restaurant, outdoor kitchen, freshwater shower out in front of the place on the sidewalk, half a block to the ocean and beaches and 24-hour on-site security.

The people are very helpful, convenient rooms. Microwave, mini fridge. 2 bunk beds. The bottom ones are larger. Lil patio with chairs. You can bring your own food and cook it with a community kitchen that they have for the guests, and half a block from the beach, close as fudge. 53 for 4 of us.

I have stayed at Rositas before (will be saying there in March). All I can say is that it is right in the middle of all the action, close *very close* to the bay. The owner is a very nice lady, they have air conditioning and decent Wi-Fi in the room I got. The bed was comfortable, clean, no cockroaches (or in SJDS no scorpions, which are sometime common in Rivas) bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and TP. Breakfast is less than 3 bucks. Being Nicaraguan myself, (i live in California for the last 30 yrs. ) El gallo pinto of Rositas is great, also the eggs and the coffee. San juan is where my parents took me as a child, so this town is a part of my DNA. Rositas has the SJDS aesthetic and it is where I can stay without going broke. Location and quality versus price, Rositas is pretty much the best deal in town!

If you are looking for a luxury resort, this is not it. What it is, is a clean, comfortable room with a great, helpful, and friendly staff. The rates are very reasonable. It seems like most room in San Juan Del Sur are either Hostels catering to surfers looking for a cheap bed, or luxury resorts. Not much for a family traveling on a budget. Rositas is that budget friendly family room for those looking for a clean, secure, comfortable room but can't afford the luxury resort fees. There is a community kitchen, and the rooms have AC. Inexpensive breakfast is available in site. I definitely recommend Rositas!

A good site to go backpacking to the beaches of San Juan Del Sur. The rooms have air-fans. There is a kitchen so you can get what you want, the Wi-Fi and free coffee.

Excellent service! Hot water, TV, air conditioner, a balcony with a nice view and delicious cheap food. My friend and I were planning to stay for one night, but we felt so comfortable there that we ended up staying three instead. Great place!

Great Hostel for a small price.

I been here with my family for a couple of day and now, we dont want to live, this places is amazing for the simple reason that they make you fell like you are home, Mr John and miss Rosita treat you so nice this place is unique, from 1 to 10 we would give 100.! God bless them.

Rositas is an amazing deal. The price for what you get and the location is absoloutely worth it. Hot showers, AC, private rooms, cheap breakfast and half a block from the beach. Its a hotel priced as a hostel. Highly recommended.

Very friendly helpful staff, fantastic location close to everything including the beach. Clean rooms. Beds are a little uncomfortable, but AC is cold. Overall highly recommend.

My stay at Rosita's has been great and I think it's the best value in SJDS. Excellent location, very secure and simply lovely people with whom to do business. You'll have no problems if you don't speak Spanish, as John and Rosita, as well as other staff members, have excellent command of English. I spent several nights in one of the hotel rooms before settling into my kitchenette and have no complaints whatsoever. Although I'm basically a little over a block from the beach, the neighborhood and rooms are quite quiet and peaceful. Security is very good and my vehicle is parked right out front on the street, where the staff keeps an eye on it day and night — like anywhere, basic precautions should be taken. You wouldn't leave your computer, camera, passport, etc. Sitting around in your vehicle at home, would you? The covered municipal market is a five-minute walk and the fruit and vegetables are excellent and affordable, as are the rice and beans. The butcher is a bit sketchy for me — I like a bit of refrigeration or ice when I'm buying meat, but the Pali supermercado is a cheap cab drive away and their meats are excellent and well-priced. The fish market might be a 10-minute walk and the stalls there offer a wide variety of fresh local seafood. Restaurauts and pulperias abound in easy walking distance. Rooms are Rositta's are clean and comfortable and the property is well-suited to families, as well as groups traveling together to surf, etc.

The place looks like a house that was turn in to a hostel, the are no windows so it is enclose and sofocating, the place is full of fans, thougt there is air conditioning aswell, but because there is no window there is no natural ligth (so you have to have the ligths on in the middle of the day), the place is clean I give them that, but the service and specially the owner are very rude. There are also a lost of rules like no noise at a the entrance because there are 5 rooms, and in the back side where there is a kitchen, you cant be there after 10:30 pm. Also the ownwer was very rude with her employees, wich is not very nice. And when we wanted to go, she was very mad and rude, scholding us because we wanted to go when we had a reservation, but Why will you stay somewhere you dont find comfortable.

We have stayed there 3 times before this trip and are on their Wi-Fi right now. Rositas is 5 Stars for a nice economical place to stay, We are paying $24 which is much less than we expected to pay because they have everything you need included here free and the service is personal. One time we stayed for more than a week a beautiful apartment there with a kitchen for $32 and that would cost at least twice that anywhere else. J and J.
