I highly recommend Mango Rosa resort for it's quality rooms, excellent pool, superb restaurant and bar, helpful staff, and if you really want to catch fish book the fishing tour with captain Greg and you won't be disappointed when you are enjoying your fresh cooked catch poolside with a cold local beer.

While staying down the road from here for a week, Mango Rosa was the only restaurant close by. We ate many meals here and they were all fantastic!

Fantastic food and drinks. The casas are very spacious and very nicely decorated. There is a beautiful pool. The grounds are well maintained. They have great day trips like boating, horse riding, zip lining etc… The best value around. Very close to 2 beaches. One good for surfing and 1 good for hanging out. Tell Paco (the crocodile) I said hi. Lots of wildlife like sloths, monkeys and parrots.

Came here on a staycation while my mom was down to visit. The place we rented out was a two bedroom and absoloutly clean and cozy. The pool was great and the food… My God sooooo good. Every time we come here for the day, lunch, a swim ect it's always hands down great service great drinks and a great time! Highly recommend.

Very friendly, safe, and beautiful atmosphere. Wish this could become my second home, my dad and I stayed for 10 days and never wanted to leave. The food was the best ive ever had!

This place is literally 5 star. The amenities, the staff, the environment, Capt Greg, and the food all add up to make this place a supreme destination. I took my daughter with me and we ended up extending our stay. There is so much to do. It is safe and clean and wonderful. The plants and animals are beautiful here. And the fishing and surfing are just epic. And then the sunsets. It doesn't get any better than this.

WEDDING How to describe this beautiful place. I found this place (luckily) online searching for destination wedding sites. Greg worked with me and answered ALL of my many questions (patiently) and was so great at replying in time and help guide me through the process. He was always confident and calm — and I felt like my special day was in the greatest hands. The staff (esp Rhonda who basically runs the wedding show once you are there) are the BEST. I am not exaggerating. I still think of them today, and it's been over a month since we were there. I feel like I want to call them and just say "hey! Miss you, same time tomorrow? " but then I wake up … haha. Breakfast was delicious, and all of the meals were freshly made, inc some with fish caught from the day of fishing. Everything was DELICIOUS. Water was provided in each room to have ready to drink. We spent an entire week there, and it felt like I lived some of the best days of my life — sharing this place with family, and owning the resort as if it was our little piece of heaven. People from the US, Colombia, and Sweden came — of all ages and sizes — of different interests — and everyone enjoyed themselves. Everyone who was a part of this special week appreciated the attention of the staff, the food, the excursions, and importantly, the affordability. The people who we worked with for the wedding (Gaby transport, decorations, florist, cake maker, photographer, DJ) were all SO professional and incredibly talented.

I stayed with my husband for a week in a one bedroom private bungalow. We were there for a friend's destination wedding, and let me just say that staff did a FANTASTIC job with the beach ceremony and the reception at the resort. Staff took care of seating / flowers at the beach and transportation to the beach and back. They decorated the bar and pool area, provided a DELICIOUS meal, had a really great band… They really know how to throw a wedding. As far as staying at the resort itself, I quite enjoyed it. Everything was well-maintained and beautiful for the setting. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you're looking for full on luxury accommodations, this is not the place. This is a nice little laid back resort with everything you need plus a few perks. Pros: Beautiful, private bungalow. The setup of the various houses on the property really makes each one feel secluded in the jungle, which rocks. The bungalow included a full kitchen, and two televisions with satellite TV, and a secure Wi-Fi connection. And just a few steps away you have a great bar/restaraunt, pool, hammock hut… The jungle animals, birds, fireflies were amazing. Staff is great. Helpful setting up rides to the beach if you don't want to make the short walk, or into San Juan, or to/from the airport. The 1ish KM walk to Playa Marsella is very easy and pleasant. The walk to Playa Maderas is a little more intense, with a VERY steep hill just prior to the beach itself.

My husband and I were down at Mango Rosa with 40 friends and family a few weeks ago for our destination wedding. I cannot say enough good things about our experience having our wedding with the resort. The staff exceeded our expectations and made every guest feel happy and welcome. We started the weekend with a sunset beach bonfire on Playa Marsella that the resort shuttled everyone to and organized. The next day, we had a poolside BBQ that turned into our fully catered welco…me party and open bar. The next day was the wedding. We did our wedding on the beach and our reception poolside at Mango Rosa. The resort set up a beautiful bamboo arch on the beach with flowers and gorgeous white chair covers. The entire thing was beyond beautiful and fun. All of our guests are saying its the most fun and beautiful wedding they have been to. There are so many beautiful beach locations in the world that you can get married at, but if you want to be truly amazed by an amazing staff, food that is out of this world, and feel incredibly relaxed and taken care of throughout your whole wedding planning process, then Mango Rosa is the place to do it. I could go on and on about our fishing experience on the awesome boat, the awesome surfing at Playa Maderas that is just a mile away, the amazing vendors for photography and makeup that the resort referred to us etc, but you really should go see it for yourself.

It is wonderful it is a place Q it transmits peace, comfort and its staff is very helpful, they offer a fresh menu, its nature within this place is unique.

This was a great place to stay. It's absolutely beautiful, everyone is very kind and will help you when you need it. Very nice cabins. There is also a beautiful beach walking distance. And my absolute favorite part, there is a pool! I would highly recommend this resort!

Food was amazing. A must to visit while in San Juan del Sur.

The best Groove Retreat I have been on. The villas were perfect, the food was awesome, the staff were always going above & beyond. Carol was the best bartender. Bamboo & Coco were pups whose presence was calming.

After driving from Texas on our way to Panama and struggling to just find hotels that would accept our dogs, we were blown away by the property, our cabana, and the welcoming staff. We were here no more than an hour when I found 10 excuses to stay an extra night to relax and enjoy myself. Totally awesome!

My wife and I and our 20 year old son met up with friends at the Mango for 5 days and had an incredible time. The staff, accommodations, and food were excellent. Just didnt have enough time to do everything offered. Great experience.

Mango Rosa is Top Notch This is my 12th visit to Central America and I wanted to bring the Family along this time and I picked the very best place to stay the Mango Rosa. The staff and owner were very friendly and gave 5 star service the entire time. Each day and night they would list all the activity choices and we would simply pick one verbally and off we were to Zip Lining, Surfing (or surf lessons) Fishing offshore, horse back riding, local town trips, dancing, monkey hunting, the local baseball field, etc… I'm not into Yoga but many of the guest were and they had a great venue for that. I did enjoy my Massage at Mango Rosa. My Family had a blast and felt very safe the entire time. Some of my Family members said that Mango Rosa is the "best restaurant". That's saying a lot since I am from St. Augustine. I would get the Steak and one of my kids with get Seafood pasta that came with Shrimp and an entire Lobster and we would split them up — Yum! I also liked ordering smoothies since they are made with fresh fruit. This place is set up for anything from a romantic get away to a group of people. We had a group of 21 ranging from 8 to 70 years old and everyone had a blast! I will be back to the Mango Rosa!

Mango Rosa treated us like family. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the space had everything we needed to have our wedding and family reunion. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a beautiful relaxing and fun place. There is something for everyone there and the location is close to a lot of other beaches.

Gorgeous settings outside of the cityscape. Birds, monkeys, sloths as well as fantastic beach for surf.

We had a wonderful time staying at Mango Rosa. Staff are friendly and helpful with getting us places. There are beaches close by for surfing and a pool at the place. We really enjoyed our stay.

So quite place relax and the Maderas surf beach is not far but far from town.

Good place, with a nice atmosphere and outside the city. The Nachos are very rich.

Nachos here are massive. Nice spot to go too if you don't want to go all the way to town. There's always a crew of friendly locals sitting at the bar.

A beautiful place and there is a deep tranquility.

It is a very nice environment if you are looking for peace and contact with nature without the crowds of people you got to know him in all your expression this is what maximum the food is good it has a swimming pool and cozy cottages!

The experience was very good, the price is commensurate with what they offered me to stay at a casita with kitchen, living room and a bathroom comfortable and clean, very quiet place, the pool is refreshing, it had a play area for children important to my daughter sedivirtio lot, the restaurant offers good food and the attention good.
