Very impressed by the rolls of hay cut and waiting collection in farms along 5 Rivers Rd. So productive.

Good place to go for a walk and enjoy your day with a beautiful scenery.

It would be one of my top 5 places to go in to see in the south island & I was down there for 4 day's this week to see & went back down into Milford Sound for a look to see how much it had changed after 11 year's & still very much like the place & would very much like to go back & work down there again?.

Money of value. But if you want to cooking, this hotel is not good for you.

Run down with quick and cheap renovation of bathrooms about 5 years ago. Balcony was permanently locked out as it was not safe to use. Heater was hardly warm and rather loud. So yes overall this motel can only be used for 1 night if you dont care where to stay.

The place is nice but the staff were not knowlagable about some tracks, which is not good.

Friendly helpful staff with good facilities and computers where you can book on 1 of the great walks.

Fiordland Hotel/Motel is a great place to stay. I had a newly renovated room with all the things I needed. Fridge, TV, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, bathroom, phone and bed! about 10 mins walk from centre of town/shops. Free shuttle bus can also take you. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Bear in mind it is a 3 star you are paying for, not 5 star. Don't book here if you want full on luxury BUT do book here if it is value, cleanliness and service you want.

I thought it was feral and old and felt like a prison block it's run down and smelt very bad it needs to be pulled down and rebuilt zero pride in what it looks like.

Total number of nights stayed: 1 Nothing special, nothing bad. Perfectly OK motel. Wifi internet available for a charge and only in the lobby.

We stay here for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom family unit with kitchen, living room, and bathroom. Overall experience was great! the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, tidy, with many equipment and facilities to use. We especially liked the kitchen, it enable us to make our favorite meals just like as if you were at home. The beds were comfortable and location was quiet. The only downside was the rooms were somewhat old and a number of small things needed improvement, such as wall paint, my bedroom door dont close properly, but since I was travel with the family it is not a big issue for me (lucky it wasnt the front door otherwise it would be a real problem), and the coat hangers in the wardrobes were missing. Overall experience was good, it provided a comfortable and enjoyable accomodation at considerable low prices, so I think it was good value for money.

Special thanks to the staff memeber who lent me their laptop so I could burn my pics to DVD when the computers onsite weren't working. That was the kind of exceptional service that made the hotel stay great. Laundry facilities are good. Room was comfy. The two restaurants onsite don't seem to operate though, so that's a downside. Great information about local services and tours at the help desk. They also sell Cookie Time cookies, DVDs and other amenities that could be useful. You can select a movie to watch there too, ask at the front desk.
