When we stayed at the Bellavista Motel Te Anau we were greeted by Michael in a very friendly way. We were blown away by his positive and friendly nature, which added to our good mood. Quiet, clean and well looked after. Props to the management who are running it well.

This is the cleanest motel we've stayed in — spotless, with all the facilities. Very friendly and polite staff, free parking and close to the town centre. Away from the main road, so nice and quiet and just a short walk to the lake.

Beautiful clean rooms. Plenty of storage place. Rooms are secure, though the parking lot is not. So dont leave valuables in car. The bed was very comfortable and spacious. Would definitely highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the milford sounds.

Very pleasant Hotel with very friendly Staff. The Reception is only open during the day. At my Request, I was booked a Boat trip at Milford Sound, the first Tour of the Day, Beginning at 7:00 A. M. From Te Anau, however, you drive (relaxed) for two Hours, but have the Advantage of empty Roads. I bought a Sandwich in a Supermarket the Night before and so got up 44th, but it was worth it. The Room was very clean, coffee/Tea including kettle available. I had breakfast relaxed in the Room and then I'm off. You can throw The Key into a Mailbox.
Warning: There are Rooms above, accessible via a Staircase. If you are not so good on Foot or do not want to tow your Suitcase, you should specify this in time.

Good place to stay, friendly and accommodating staff, comfortable beds, great place to make a home base for Te Anau adventures. One criticism of all Bella Vistas on the south island is the continental breakfast. Overpriced for what you get (yogurt packages, cereal boxes, grocery store bread). Spend less in town for prepared meals.

Part of the Bella Vista chain and as such, is similar to the others. If you are travelling alone, a 'compact' room is perfectly comfortable but may be a little small if you are a couple or more or like to spread out a bit. Would use this chain again.

Nice location near the CBD. Great place to spend an overnight on your way to Milford Sound. Clean cozy rooms.

The hotel rooms were clean, simple, and comfortable. The staff was nice and friendly and didn't charge left and right for everything. Free parking and accessible. I highly recommend.

We stayed this hotel for three days. We feltf very comfortable to owner and room.

Ideal place to stay for visiting Milford Sound and Fiordland. Modern, clean and comfortable rooms, free Wi-Fi, loads of cable channels, BBQ and washing machine facilities too. Hosts were very friendly, knowledgable about tours and gave great advice on which tours to go on, who with and when. They really made the stay here even better. Location is perfect for easy access to the lake and also walking into town.
