Great location, spacious and warm (we stayed in apartment one). Quirkily decorated with some of the curtains down and bulbs out, but has a great bath!

Well looked after & spacious. Easy checking in. Each bedroom having own ensuite was a bonus. Living area comfortable with additional booster heating if needed. Kitchen was kitted out with good storage space for longer stays & a small bottle of milk (not UHT) in fridge for cuppa on arrival. The central corridor to the front door allowed views of the stained glass windows at both ends of the building. Very nice place to stay.

While it looks great on paper, our experience has been of poor maintenance, poor service, and extremely poor attitude. We spent two nights in apartment nr 2, despite what was advertised we had not Internet connection. The manager dealt with the issue in an extremely unpleasant way, first saying they were working on it, then hanging up on us, then promising a discount, but never giving it, bombarding us with calls, texts and emails for a while, and ultimately not fixing the issue anyway. No surprise as the problem is not the network quality in Dunedin, but the church stone walls that are too thick for the signal to go through. Overall, you could see that the place was great five years ago, but has been poorly maintained, the paint was pealing from the walls on the first floor, the carpets were threadbare, the electronics did not work, etc. We do not recommend.

It's a nice and cosy place but lacks air circulation and natural sunlight.

This place is cool! and really central. Walking distance to The Octagon and all its eateries.

Great use of an old church. Very central to cafes and bars.

Nice, moden, up market apartments. 2 room apartment was good. 3 room suite was fantastic. But two draw backs. One shower didn't work but the main concern was that we did not see a single staff member. It was all done by email and phone.

These apartments are in central Dunedin and the location is fantastic. Walking distance to shopping on George St and all the fantastic architecture in the octagon. There is some off street parking but the owner will reimburse for any parking costs incurred if there isn't a space reserved for your room. The apartments are spacious with high ceilings and lots of big windows. I've stayed twice and would happily stay again.

We came for a 2 night stay. Staff was very helpful and the manager helped us bring out bags into the place. They upgraded us to a better room for free. Definitely recommend staying here.

Rude Staff. No room service including fresh towels. Dark rooms, no natural light. No car parking in spite of advertised. Bad experience would never recommend.

Nice cozy apartment. Close to amenities. But the owner is where the problem is. Even the cleaner was far more professional. 1. No set short term or long term rates. He just makes things up as he goes. He also does not state the facilities available and not with long term rates. When he offered us 1 month's lower rates, he then started making up things as we went along about what is not available due to our long term rates. 2. This is by far the worst factor. Condescending. When I asked him politely when his cleaner would be leaving so I can time my return to the place so as to use the guest parking, he said "as long as I would take" and walked away. Moreover, he just walked into the apartment while I was still in it (without knocking or anything). He knew very well I was there as he spoke to me only a few minutes earlier. I was so annoyed, as otherwise the place is nice, that I informed the university about this and asked my barristers to do up a legal note. I hope he changes his mannerisms and also formulates set long and short term rental terms in order to be more professional.

Booked 9 months in advance as I was bringing along my toddler and husband. Requested very clearly on numerous occassions for a cot and a safety gate to be placed at the bottom of the stairs (we were in the apartment with the red couches). On arrival the cot was thankfully there but the safety gate was still in its original box unpacked — not much good at creating safety there. It seemed that the owner was away and the cleaner was looking after things for him and therefore she didn't know much about what we had organised 9 months ago. We pointed out that the gate wasn't installed and she replied that the person she had delegated the task too 'had obviously not done a good job'. 24 hours later a handyman came in and installed it. The next day we also noted that the cleanliness was not up to scratch — there were old bobby pins and dust-bunnies lying around near the DVD player. We had to request for the sheets to be changed and the vacuuming done 5 days into our stay — there was no indication that it would be done at all if we had not asked. We emptied our bins everyday as well. The sheets in baby's cot were not changed and when I asked about this directly I was told quite bluntly 'How often do you want your sheets changed! ' Overall unfortunately not a very good experience as we had spent 2 weeks there. Would definitely NOT go back or recommend it to my friends.
