Our family group of four had the pleasure of spending two nights at the beautiful Marlborough Lodge just before New Year's. The experience was flawless — — literally, there is not a thing we would ask to change. The Lodge has the air of an elegant old-world country house estate hotel, with gorgeous grounds, a fine and elegant old manor house (though in this case a former convent! ), stylish public spaces, luxurious comfortable rooms, and delicious and ample food. But beyond these obvious charms, the key to the Lodge experience is the expert and friendly staff. All were just terrific. Christine put together perfect arrangements during the months leading up to our trip, including transfers to and from Picton, a wineland biking tour, and even accommodation (down the road) and coordination with our extended family who could not get a room here due to the busy season, all with prompt and friendly communication across the (18! ) time zones. Flawless! Samantha's gracious greeting and expert management of the whole operation were absolutely top-notch. And Lindsey produced dining experiences that were among the best we have ever had in similar settings in the U. S. And Europe. Thank you, all! We hope to see you all again soon at your beautiful Marlborough Lodge.

Four of us had a beautiful dinner at Harvest Restaurant last night. Food fabulous and staff very pleasant, attentive and helpful.

Great place — staff were lovely, helpful, and professional. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. The views were pretty, and the food was delicious. Awesome place to get away and relax.

I love the attention to detail at this hotel: a glass of wine ready for you to drink when you arrive and a bedtime snack and slippers waiting for you in your room after dinner. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious. I absolutely loved my stay!

Excellent gardens, amazing food & lovely Building.

One of the loveliest hotels I have stayed in. Not grand and overbearing, or pretentious, just lovely and welcoming with character and beautiful decor. The staff, who felt more like friends, could not have done more to make our stay memorable.
Every time I think of our stay, it will be with a smile from ear to ear.

Well worth a visit.

Perfect spot to roll up to after a wine tasting tour in the region. The grounds are stunning and sipping a cocktail before dinner in front of the outdoor fire was a beautiful start to the evening. We loved the food and the level of service. Our room "Finch" overlooked the gardens and was so peaceful. I could have done a few lengths in the bath it was so big! Really enjoyed our 1 night stay here.

The owners have transformed this former convent into a beautiful hotel/B&B set in the middle of NZ's finest vineyards. Great selection of wine, superb breakfast and large luxury bedrooms.
