Rooms are a bit dated. Windows don't seal properly and are wooden. This means you need to leave heaters on all night to stay warm. Wi-Fi wasn't working from my room but I told them and they said they will get someone to look at it. Bathroom floor is a bit creaky. Otherwise not bad. Very good price.

Really lovely! Stayed one night here in a twin room. The only downside was that the heat pump only put out cold air (even on 30 degrees it pushed out freezing cold air) and there was no bin in the kitchen. Really clean room and beautiful accommodation with parking! Would stay again.

Great spot nice units and nice food, friendly staff. Could have more night lighting outside and larger numbers on cabins.

Very comfortable stay. Unit was lovely and warm when we arrived, and it was so quiet — had the best night sleep I've had in a long time!

Not happy with our accommodation. We had a studio apartment, which had no washing up facilities for dishes, had to wash dishes in bathroom. Basin. No noise proofing, if you have noisy neighbors. Bed wasn’t comfortable ‘king size’ two single beds stuck together with big crack down the middle.

The houses are constructed by the Kridororkimi workers on paskui projects from a beef and sticks. The room was very clean. The windows from the toilet overlook the porch neighbours, in the shower there are no shelves at all, two idiotic taps, walls of plywood-how could this ever build in our years?! There are no views from the windows at all, these Halukas are located far from the city.
I strongly do not recommend here to settle even for a night!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The villas are very basic, could do with a little more decor but suited our needs really well! Lots of space, very quiet and peaceful. Very child friendly. Will stay again if we are in the area.

Great wedding venue. The little church is fantastic although may be a tad small for large weddings (above 80 people) the grounds outside the church are beautiful for photo's. Marquee on the cafe deck was beautiful. Great food and good menu options. On-site accommodation is really nice.

A great place to be, people friendly, great guides of all types and a friendly host and hostess when you having a cold one or 2.

Stayed in 1 Bedroom Villa. Had a Shower, Toilet, Small Lounge and Kitchen area & covered carport. Accessing the area is deceptive (at night) because the signage isn't overly clear as to where the entrance is.

Very disappointed. Came for our wedding anniversary and paid way to much for our room. The bed was so horrible and everything was very old and yuk.

Nice place. Units have all the cutlery & crockery you need to prepare for a meal. Ample space in the sitting room. Large kitchen & pantry. Three families shared one large unit. We are pleased with the place. Will go back if we visit Huka Falls.

The resort exceeded our expectations, which we had at such a hotel. At the reception we found a solution for all our wishes. The rooms are very clean. The entire facility is well maintained.

Great place. Reasonable price. Was via a booking app. 1 small complaint given to reception which was totally ignored. But didn't ruin the stay.

Nice setting was unfortunately disturbed by nearby construction. Our cabin was nice and clean with usual facilities all there. Staff were very helpful and friendly at check-in and check out.

In room facilities is gd. Just a bit less facilities in the resort. Like the swimming pool is small.

We had a budget room, but it was great value for money. The few thumb down points were, cobwebs and fly spots on the ceiling and the bed which had a very hard outer edge. Also the heater is a very inefficient old noisy beast. The bathroom was spacious. Water pressure in the shower, great. The room we had was an add-on to a family unit accessed via a locked door. The units are all older wooden construction and if there was a family staying next door and they created any noise, you would hear it all. Also, at the time of our stay there was a construction site right next door and as the big machinery moved around the whole building shook, which felt like an earthquake. The resort is an overstatement as the feel of the place is not 'resort' style, but I have given 4 stars as the price was equivalent to a bare room with no bathroom in a camp site somewhere. You can also hear traffic noise from the main state-highway not far away. It is handy to many attractions but nothing you can walk to.

Checked in here last nite (02/08) got 1brm cottage. Nice quiet location away from town.

Most bad reviews seem to be around the function services. We stayed in a 2 bedroom Villa for $255NZ and it was great, so spacious, full kitchen, spa bath and carport for parking, slightly dated but then again it is a period villa, no complaints (have stayed in far worse and more expensive hotels). Close to huka falls and main road so easy access to city centre and attractions. Really quiet at night time and pitch black so slept well. Got some free Wi-Fi as well. No complaints, will stay here again.

Horrible place for a function! If you want to enjoy your event DO NOT book it here. Staff are very rude with the exception of 1 or 2 being friendly. Way too over priced for food that no one had a chance to eat because staff took it away before anyone got to it and then the filled rolls were average. Plus the $3.50 per head for 50+ people for chips and dip for them to only bring out two bowls of chips and a small bowl of dip! The bar manager was the grinch of the night, horrible lady! Never book a function here you will regret it! Also I would most definitely not call it a resort! So far from that its not funny. Would have been more comfortable sleeping on the grass next to the lake!

Nice cottage with reasonable price!

Attended a wedding at this venue and unfortunately the staff were extremely unhelpful. We had been informed that for the reception we could go to the dining area to have a tea/coffee and drink before dinner later. Upon arrival it turned out the staff would not be providing tea or coffee in any form, they would not even provide a mug of water for our elderly grandmother so we could make her a drink, we even offered to pay for a hot drink for her. They seemed utterly incapable of making decisions for themselves, and simply ignored our requests after some time. Following this, another event occurred where the next morning we were accused of actions that simply did not happen, and were not true in any form. Causing a rift between the parties involved. I would never recommend this venue to anyone, and that's before the terrible, under prepared food, or the disgusting state of disrepair the buildings are in.

Very dated and old! Beds were like sleeping on the floor they were so hard woke up with a very sore back and had trouble to even sleep in it! Shower was rubbish! Tap outside work better than the shower! No flow and hard to get water temper right! The oven had been taken out and not put back in! The microwave smelt like it was on fire. Carpet was rotten Very disappointed with the standard of rooms they rented out to our family as we went in a group for a wedding and most of the rooms out of the four of us were in the same condition. Not worth $ 250 a night!

Booked in for a Wedding, then had a huge falling out with my partner. Wasn't sure if the Wedding was going to happen anymore. When I contacted Gillian Smith to give a heads up that the Wedding probably won't be taking place, I was told it was already cancelled. My partners father had contacted Gillian, stating the Wedding was off. And this is the first I had heard of the cancellation 3 months + later. Basic communication with the actual clients would have been nice. I don't see how a third party can cancel an event they don't have a contract for. In response to this, Gillian stated that my partner was CC'ed into the email by their father. I guess CC'ing someone in makes it all right. Then went on to state if the event was still on, I would be liable for more fees under our terms and conditions. Great way to kick someone when there already down Gillian. I though Customer service was from beginning to end. She was happy to ring and organize things initially but once we paid our $1950 the communications went out the door. Thanks for your payment, now fu@k you very much. Awesome work Gillian Smith. Your a credit to Huka Falls Resort. Not.

Beautiful setting. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. We were offered a free upgrade which made our stay all the better. Definitely top marks, and will be coming again.

I throughly enjoyed the conference venue and food at Huka Falls Resort. The service staff were just brilliant and looked after every need however odd they were. I highly recommend this Resort for conferences. They have a wonderful team.
