Rude! I booked 4 months ago accommodation to enjoy this place in March 2023 because I am organised, I also requested a portacot and messaged asking about the spa in room as this is all the reason why we wanted to enjoy finally staying here and getting a chance to book, it’s hard to book the places with spas in rooms, you guys are often booked so obviously they have better customer service for others. Anyways I got told our credit details weren’t up to date, which they are, I have booked other places as we have a whole week on holiday not just the 2 nights I wanted booked here. We have a baby so wanted a between place to break up the travel home. Today I get a email saying our booking has been canceled. I called directly and was told iron man or some triathlon Is on — I don’t care! But the place is now booked out, I couldn’t rebook not that I want to ever stay now, most of Taupo is booked out now so we have no accommodation there and have booked in a different town, skipping Taupo altogether. I believe you found out about iron man and guessed you could raise your prices or double book people but considering I was organised 4 months ago I thought we would still have accommodation booked. All in all don’t blame booking. Com iv used them for all my bookings, hope no one else has been screwed up too and usually I don’t complain I’m a very nice person but you guys ruined my day.
Would've given it zero stars if I could. Can't rate my stay, got covid and called to rebook 48 hours before I was due to check in. No sympathy, no partial refund just a measly $112 credit to stay another time. Despite what their policy says on the website. Just kept saying "we are a business, this is a business". Cool, good luck having a business with the world's shittiest customer service. This is why you should always check the reviews before you book somewhere. Moral of the story, don't waste your money just turn up with covid I guess instead of trying to do the right thing. Sadly so many other ppl have lost out on hundreds of $ too.

Booked for the wrong weekend and turned up and they had one room spare, absolutely lovely to deal with stunning room and nice spa Barth within the room nice and spacious great price lovely presentation and pressure in the rooms 100% will be back again.
