Great rooms, friendly staff and close to town. I've stayed a few times and it's always a pleasure.

The location was the only redeeming feature. The room we stayed in was not decorated as in the pictures. Everything felt like it was desperately in need of a deep clean. The pillows were horrendous. The room smelled musty and clammy. We had to call the police on drunk neighbours beating on the door next to us for an hour and trying to fight my husband when he politely asked him to stop. There are so many stunning properties to enjoy here, don’t ruin your stay by staying here.

Best place for holidays. Sea at the front can enjoy morning tea with sea view.

Very tired decor. Panelling coming off walls and cabinets in bathroom. Grouting needs a clean. No outdoor furniture on patio to use — we were on the ground floor so maybe the reason for this. Small TV in lounge and although could sleep five only a small round table and only four chairs! Way too expensive for what was on offer.

Good location, very hospitable, the bed was a bit soft and lumpy/uncomfortable for my liking but otherwise clean.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for one night. Seemed clean and nice spa and all. We didn’t leave any food out or so, we were just enjoying a bottle of wine, and all of the sudden there were ants all over the table. When we woke up in the morning they were all over the room, including the bed. We informed staff about this, but all they said was that they would inform the cleaner. They did not apologize or offer a refund or anything.

Staff are super nice! rooms great and super comfy. Family loved the spa! can't wait to come back. Highly recommend.

Stayed with our friends from Perth WA for one night, very happy, friendly service,, I left my shaver charger in the room,, one phone call and they had it in the post on it's way back to me,, great service!

Good central location within easy walking to Napier city centre. Room is fine, with a nice big bath, kitchen area and balcony. Views of the sea front are beautiful.

Average room, but awesome location. Had issue with water temperature but overall all good enough, will stay again.

Nice clean rooms. Spa is a very nice touch and welcome any time of the year. Rooms did feel a bit old but still nice.

The room was pleasant and clean, however false advertising led us to believe we would have city view which it most definitely was not. The cost of the room was therefore exorbitant to say the least. Very disappointing.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay here. Someone here complained about dirty but when we stay it was quite clean. Maybe, the hotel took your feedbacks seriously and improved?

Unfortunately our room was quite dirty — if you ran your finger along a shelf in the kitchen, it would come up black! We ended up checking out early and staying at another hotel. Beach front motel were good about this, and gave us a refund for nights not stayed. I believe they have some rooms which have undergone renovation which might be better, but the old rooms are pretty gross.

Great location, but what you'd expect from a motel. Older decor, have to lug your bags up stairs and lacking in creature comforts. But for one night's stay, we managed.

Mouldy curtains and shower. At first glance looks lovely but starting to need maintenance. Lovely sea views and sound if the sea… and traffic. Long haul with heavy bags up two exposed flights of stairs… should have packed lighter! But comfortable enough. Free Wi-Fi and close to restaurants.

Couldn't fault it our room was very nice. We went with 2 adults and 2 kids and it had everything we could want. Loved the spa bath, hot water pressure was excellent and overall very clean. The room was a bit more than what we would usually pay but it was worth it. Comfort!

Lovely big room … a room with a view. Cleaning of good standard. Kitchen well equipped for our needs. Happy to recommend.

Stayed in one of the top floor rooms, in-room spa bath with a view of the ocean. Excellent shower (I normally find hotel showers a let down). Breakfast for two on your own private deck with the sounds and the view of the ocean.
