Hospitality upon arrival was welcoming.
Rooms are clean tidy and spacious.
Close to town and local restaurants.
First impression last longer and I would come back again.

Our hosts were so welcoming, escorting us to our beautiful room and explaining everything to us.
The rooms were immaculate and tasteful and the double glazing ensured a great nights sleep. Would highly recommend a stay here.

The first thing we noticed was the lack of electronics in the bedroom. No television — no digital clock — no screens. It was a pleasant change and we were thankful for the restfulness this offered us. Our hosts were amazing, doing everything they could to make sure we were well looked after. That said, we would like to also thank Georgina, Lydia, Kahu, Kelly S, Chelsea and Connie for the attention to detail when making up our room. Having a card that tells us who serviced our room was a lovely touch especially when often we have no idea who made the bed or took away the towels so it's nice to give a personal thanks to the hands that keep the background ticking over. We are grateful! Looking forward to our return :) Moana and Fee.

Clean, spacious modern apartments. Loving the shower pressure and bathroom space. The bed was delightfully comfortable, and the long thick curtains help with a sleep in. Double glazed windows, with slight noise able to be heard from passing traffic. Handy to shops and supermarkets.

Can not fault this motel — they had thought of everything — from the double glazed windows to block out the noise from the 2 mains roads it is situated on, to the lovely toiletries in the bathroom — really clean and comfortable.

Absolutely stunning accommodation and really great value for money. Extremely friendly staff, very, very comfortable room and immaculately clean. Honestly one of the best ever motels we have stayed in. Thank you for an exceptional stay. Highly, highly recommend.

Great place to stay. Almost 3 years old but seems brand new. Impeccably clean and modern with great facilities including vey fast Wi-Fi, Sky Guest Connect 50+ Channels (decoder in room) and large flat screen tv. Double glazed windows all around a great for the busy roads either side. Hosts are very friendly and give a tour of the room explaining everything each time you stay there so no question goes unanswered. Highly recommend.

Crazy situation, nature rules, power cut But proprietor ran around with torch found our room n even gave us complimentry chocolates, then the power cameback on perfectly timed for the all blacks vs Wales, AAAA ++++ service, Spa bath is superb.

The service was excellent, the rooms were great, the beds were good and fresh. What we did not like was the party next door which went on till after 4am with fireworks at 3am. Staff next morning pretended not to have noticed.

Really nice place. Spacious well equipped nicely appointed and very friendly management and staff. Just be aware that you might end up with an upstairs unit which may be an issue for elderly people. Only things that stopped me giving it 5* was street noise despite double glazing (it is located at an intersection) and
wi fi that continually dropped out. Not my device as it worked fine everywhere else. Yes we would return and recommend. Great value for money.

All right spit bourgeois but otherwise everything top… Apart from being on the main road (double glassy window for noise insulation)

This is the best motel my wife and I have ever stayed at. And we travel a lot. Spacious rooms, impeccably clean and very comfortable. Liz and Malcolm were always around and ready and happy to help and give advice. Initially intended to stay just one night, but ended up extending our stay. Highly recommended if you need a place to stay in the area. Excellent value for money!

Highly recommend One88 if you need a place to stay in Whakatane. I stayed in a king suite one night for a business trip and the room was very spacious, well appointed and good desk area to work on. Bed was super comfy and the continental breakfast delish! Friendly and helpful owners too. Thanks for a great stay!

Had a lovely night here, great hosts/owners very accommodating, very clean, comfortable big bed lovely big pillows, the room smelled so fresh with a little sent of lavender 5star.
