Absolutely amazing experience. Stayed here with partner and child, perfect check in, amazing and helpful staff, and excellent location. The price was great for the quality. Not too far from the center of city by train, between 14-17 minutes. No noise from the airport despite having a room facing the runway. Excellent amenities for a longer stay as well.

Close to the airport and very comfortable. Not cheap but not too expensive for an airport hotel in a capital city either. The food in the bar is good. The rooms are small hut perfectly set up in a modern sort of way and the beds are huge and very comfortable. What's more you're only 5 minute walk from check in the following morning!

Nice concept. Fast check in. Rooms are pretty small and the toilet’s literally within the room, so keep that in mind when travelling with others. Nice view and very quiet. But for the price you pay… I really don’t see the counter value.

Excellent Hotel, in a great spot even for visiting Amsterdam, easy to catch train into city. My wife and I stayed here a few years ago just after it opened and wow it was better then one would expect. We were on top floor over looking runways and the bed was great. The shower and toilet set up is straight out of Star Trek. We need one of these in Sydney. Do your self a favor and check it out.

Amazing hotel, only a few minutes walk from Schiphol Plaza! Totally worth it if you're laying over or on your way out of Schiphol, like I was. The staff was amazingly friendly and the place is exquisite. The only negative thing I could mention is that it's a bit of a walk from the terminals, but the weather was amazing, so no problem there! Thanks for the great stay!

Quick and friendly checkin. Great hot food choices during meal time as well as microwaveable non processed to go food. Plenty of seating available throughout lower level near and from bar.

Great rooms and home automation used. I do not give the 5 stars for the quality of the restaurant (self service) that I think is to improve.

Coolest hotel in the world. Self checking and out. Cool bar and buffet. Something about this place brings travellers together to share stories. I always stay here.

Hotel very close to the airport (just 10min), check in and check out are ultra fast via automatic terminals. Very well appointed and very well equipped room (IPad tablet that allows to control everything), large double bed and super soundproofing.

Very different than any hotel I have stayed in. Smart room control is awesome. If you need a hotel near the airport, definitely give this a shot. Train station near the airport give you quick access to city center.

Super easy check in and out! The rooms are very modern and comfortable and sporty! The breakfast is also super tasty and the entire staff friendly and accommodating.

I wish there were more Citizen M to choose around the world. Like the name of their common areas "Living Rooms" they are spot on. Cozy, comfortable, clean and the beds, fluffy towels are so nice after a long flight. The staff is friendly and attentive. I will be looking for Citizen M when we travel.

I love CitizenM, whenever I travel, wherever I am, if there is CitizenM I always stayed in one of them. The staff is great, the hotel very welcoming and super cool and the beds very comfys!

CitizenM is the most unique hotel I've ever stayed in. Each room is small, but perfectly laid out to maximize the space. The toilets and showers are in their own separate cubicle, the TV, lights, alarm, temperature and mood are all set using an iPad and accompanying app. You check yourself in and out, everything is innovative, yet remarkably simple. I've raved about staying at this hotel since I've been! 100% recommend.

Nice rooms. Very small but amazing. The bar is expensive for lunch time. 20€ the full menu, composed of… : a single dish! … that's it. We don't have the same definition of terms "full menu".

What is directly noticeable is the always friendly staff and the tendency to modernity. You check in and out here yourself. Need help you get those. The rooms are all equipped with an ipad device that allows you to control all the functions in the room.
Despite the proximity to the airport, you don't hear a single airplane.
There are small, funny "citizenm" messages hidden everywhere.
You could almost think the hotel's message would be: Smile at breakfast everything was available. If you miss something (eg. Cappuccino) You can ask at the bar directly.
After check-out, you can also leave your luggage for free and pick up later for the flight.
I liked the hotel very much. It would also be my first choice in the future.

No privacy in the shower. Just glass pod by the bed, there is a clear net hanging but you can see straight through it. And very limited in the toilet. Just a frosted glass pod in the middle of the room. Nice hotel and staff though. Aslong as you don't mind showering in front of the person sharing your room then it's great. 15 min train ride to Amsterdam central. Minutes from airport when you land it's great.

Small rooms but very comfortable. Very modern. Excellent service included for the price. Movies are all free.

Location is great, because you don't need a shuttle. They have nice entertainment options, different than the rest (own movie selection, which is actually very good as well — mostly Hollywood movies but good ones). There is little to no interaction needed with other human beings possible, if you're into that sort of thing.

We stayed at the citizenM for 3 nights, and were incredibly impressed with every aspect of our stay. The checkin process was quick and easy and the staff greeted us with a smile. The room, while small (we expected this), did not feel at all cramped for 2 of us. The toilet and shower are cleverly integrated in the room, but separated from the bed. We had made a fun request on out booking form, and the staff had gone out of their way to write us a note and fill our request (finding pictures of happy dinosaurs! ). The bed was incredibly spacious and very comfortable. The iPad control of the room is what sets citizenM rooms apart though. The temperature, lighting, alarm, blinds and TV are all easily controlled from the comfort of the bed, which makes for a hassle free stay. We visited the bar every evening and over the course of three nights, made our way through the cocktail menu. We were impressed with everything we tasted and the drinks were always made with a smile and a laugh from the staff. A special mention goes to Louisa, who served us two evenings running, took the time to chat to us, and even suggested a special cocktail when we mentioned one of the liquors they had. All in all, one of the best hotels I've stayed in.

Practical comfortable everything excellent.

Stayed over the weekend in Amsterdam and slept here for 2 nights. The rooms were very clean and totally modern. Staff was very nice and helpful. From the airport, take the train in 15-20 minutes in the centre of Amsterdam.

Small rooms with little intimacy if it is for two people, but the technology is implanted throughout the room, you can handle everything from a tablet.

Perfect location for airport access. Check in is easy with everything automated. Downstairs bar area is a great place to relax. Friendly staff with solid food options. Room was quiet with mood lighting and a great range of movies on offer. I wish more hotels were straightforward like this place.

Great location, friendly staff, modern hotel rooms are comfortable services provided in the room are also up to the mark. You do not have lots of options in buffet breakfast menu. They have packed breakfast also if you dont have time. If you are checking out early around 5 am they can provide packed breakfast.

This was the most perfectly convenient hotel to spend the night at for a 22 hour flight layover. It's a short covered walk from the airport and a quick Uber ride (or train ride) into the city. Although the room was extremely small it was modern, well equipped and very clean. Checking in and out was a breeze, would stay here again for a short stay!

Very accommodating. The breakfast was definitely worth it. The accommodations themselves were very futuristic, clean, and efficient. Tiny rooms, but they are organized in a way that makes it awesome. Also, it is definitely within walking distance to the airport/train.

Not recommended for light sleepers The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Arrivals, convenient. The check in procedure is via a self use terminal, I was allocated a room on the airport side of the hotel. I'm a light sleeper and slept poorly mainly because of noise from the airport. I won't stay here again. I've been trying to think what the hotel could do, can't move the hotel, another layer of glazing will be expensive. How about an option for light sleepers to request a quiet room, not on the airport side? The current booking system / terminal based check in doesn't provide an easy option for this. A small point, but there was a gap between the room door and the floor — so light comes in from the corridor. Had to put a towel on the floor to block the light. Not great for the environment, another towel to be washed. The hotel is modern, funky, quirky, different — all good things. Staff are friendly — a great thing. All of this doesn't doesn't make up for not being able to sleep though.

Really not great… no parking… very poorly located. Restaurant of the most basic… and sure. No restaurant nearby. Went elsewhere Very disapointed… no parking… no restaurant. And nothing around… go away.

I liked the hotel almost…, the bed is very comfortable, although it felt cold the room when arriving.
But: one of the rooms we rented, the shower was not good, the staff was asked, and they never sent the supervisor to check, fortunately, my escort was able to bathe in the other room we rented, but it did not cease to be something very uncomfortable and stressful because the Service personnel did not take care of anything, nor offered a solution, they just let it go and they forgot the problem as if nothing.
The problem of the shower, lack of attention and communication, not by the language itself, they need to communicate more and be clear and attentive in solving problems of that type.
When I asked about it again, they said it's because it has an automatic system that just by closing the shower door works, but despite that, the shower didn't work, they just skipped the problem and already, they forgot and there were no further explanations. A "sorry" at the entrance.
They should not have in service the room or rooms that have such problems. And that as a user leave you with no options and a bad experience, because for that price you do not expect something like that.
Another thing, they do not give products, like other hotels yes they do, like individual pots of cream, cap for hair not to wet it, etcetera.
It has the most basic, and for only a few days it is practical.

Great hotel near the airport. But you need to have an open mind since it isn't your typical hotel. The room runs off of a tablet and everything is very futuristic. The rooms are on the small side but clean and comfortable. The toilet with the "capsule" can be a bit claustrophobic. Decor is very bold, intriguing and modern throughout the hotel. Hotel tip: get a room above the first floor so you can watch the airport tarmac. Also if you prepay for the breakfast it is 3 euros cheaper. The food quality is great but pricey.

Great location for travellers who are flying in or flying out. Check in kiosks were easy to use and felt much faster than a traditional check in counter. We were still greeted by a hospitality rep at check in kiosk and staff were friendly and available to answer any questions we had. The rooms are spacious and very space efficient. Unique layout as the shower is in the middle of the room. Beds were very comfortable and we had a great nights rest before flying out early morning the next day. Check out using kiosk was just as easy as checking in. I’ll be back here if I ever have to stay near schipol!

Amazingly modern hotel rooms. Beds are huge and comfy. It's a Smart room with an ipad control center. You can even do screen mirroring with the TV from your apple or android.

It's a super cozy hotel, right next to the airport. A 8 min walk and you are there. The rooms are small, but cozy and comfortable. It's not your traditional hotel, it has super modern take on things. The staff is really friendly. The breakfast and dinner spread is really good. The common space on the ground floor is a very nice place to chill out. I would recommend you to take the rooms on the top floor facing the airport. Can sit and watch the planes taking off the entire day :) Highly recommended!

Nice hotel but small rooms. If you want you can check-in all by yourself and 24/7, which is a great feature if you arrive late on Schiphol. For an airport hotel not really expensive. The breakfast is good and has a lot of different stuff. Not only Continental breakfast by the way.

A small regret, the surface of the rooms is quite reduced, the gigantic bed takes the whole place! But we sleep very well!

Located within the Schiphol Airport area, the hotel has nice common areas, modern rooms although a bit small. We only used it for one night and I have to say we had some trouble moving without bumping into it. Some shelves should be eliminated because you slam. The air conditioning system is slow: it was December and to heat the room it took a while. However it is a nice hotel, to be improved precisely but in any case highly recommended!

Design Hotel with a lot of character and well-kept.
Self check In (when you're tired from the trip as well you have to check in by yourself…) to which I refused and I was assisted by a nice girl. Very helpful and friendly Staff.
Rooms, I would say capsules, cozy. Very comfortable bed, TV dated but that commands lights, curtains, etc. Movies on demand, free and in Italian, although not brand new. Lack of minibar in room.
Special dinner, with ready meals type sushi tray take away that you can eat at the hotel bar, where there is a very global atmosphere and you talk between customers and bartenders, or you can take your dinner to one of the design lounges of the ground floor and consume it while guard I la Tele or in total relaxation on some long chaise signed. Good address definitely.
Breakfast… sore point: Very, little choice, typical frozen brioches of medium quality,
Only orange juice and limited to a bottle, in short the price you pay for breakfast I expected more variety and quality.
I would stay here again if the stay was for 1 night, and the breakfast would do in one of the hundred airport bars at only 100 mts. It remains a positive experience anyway.

Easily reachable by foot from the airport, a very special and even avant-garde hotel, nice room lights customizable according to the mood selectable by the ipad, also available on demand movies. Unfortunately first available in different languages now only in the original language. All in all, the CITIZENM has its own style
Particular. I'm glad to go back.

Futuristic Hotel for an Italian.

Great location, one of only three hotels within true walking distance of the arrivals terminal (the other two are the Sheraton and the new Hilton). Fun ambient music and lighting system. Light switches are labeled, thank you very much. Easy to get a 15% discount every time by joining their Citizens program. Ample public lounge space, working areas. But my elderly parents would not understand how to control many of the rooms features (via the in room tablet computer) and would also have difficulty crawling on and off the king size bed, which is only open to the room on one side. Those using walkers or mobility scooters should definitely choose a more traditional hotel, the rooms are too tiny for those needs.

Excellent place to stay… super ambient, small but high tech rooms and good service. Recommended for long transfer flights… Downside, close to airport so its. Quite noise.

It's a wonderful and friendly hotel right near the terminal and the WTC. Great location for business travellers. It's not expensive it has compact well designed rooms. Free Wi-Fi. It's a no hassle functional well locate hotel for business travellers.

This is a really nice and clean hotel. The rooms are small but contain everything you need! The rooms are designed really nice, and the opportunity to choose the colors of the lights in your room is a nice extra. Checking was really fast, and you get a free drink you can use during your stay. It's close to Schiphol (about a 5 minute walk), so it's the perfect place to stay for a night. And don't forget to join the mailing list to be able to get a discount on your booking.

CitizenM is a very nice hotel. The room is very comfortable and modern, everything is touch-screen controlled, and the shower is epic. It seems like citizenM has outdone the average and extraordinary standards for hotels. Perfect for travelers.

I liove these places, I always make sure I am staying in the one next to Schiphol as it is only 3 mins walk from the door tot he airport. comfy surroundings, comfy beds and great staff make for an easy stay. make sure you book online in advance and join the mailing list so you get a discount.

Fastest internet I have ever used in my life.

Interesting experience with my better half, we stayed here for only 1 night while recovering between flights. The rooms are very small but with everything inside. Stacked in a way that makes the possibility of more space or more privacy. View over the runways (but that's what we get when the hotel is close to the airport). Restaurant not so good in terms of variety but, I was there only 1 night. Liked the concept of minimalistic.
