The guy at the desk was very helpful to us. Room was average and the floor felt very dirty. Location is fine. Not super central but we were happy to walk into town each day.

The bathroom made the whole room smell even with the window open the whole time. Breakfast was not fresh, clearly just bought out of a packet and the staff didn't top up any drinks until right at the end. However the beds were comfortable and was overall a good experience.

Excellent location and service, well run but lacks some higher end in-room essentials. Rooms look as pictured, but a hotel where each room is as good as the lobby would be twice the price.

Location is good, close to the museums and there are different eating options in the area. Service and cleaning are also good. No complains, they have a luggage store room which is handy.

Small room that's ok €90 … fire alarm going off at 2.30am not good as the small room was found after going through a Warren of passages … but also even after a near heart attack could be forgiven… filthy remote controls for the TV which when switched on automatically went to porn… not so cool holes in the curtains lights that didn't work and a non functioning hairdryer also very uncool … very bad lighting in the tiny bathroom … And a non opening window also not desirable…

Rooms badly odorant, small and with fire alarm that was shooting alone in the middle of the night for no reason. Rude staff, you find it better.

The Blyss hotel is a fairly economical solution (in relation to the average prices of the hotels in Amsterdam) against a very convenient location. The hotel is situated not more than 5 minutes ' walk from Leidseplein and the city's most important museums. The rooms are a bit basic but in any case comfortable and clean.

For the price it's pretty decent, it's clean. Lots of stairs so if u have heavy bags a bit inconvenient but very good location and the room cleaning service is good.

The staff is friendly and the hotel is normal and enough, we had a problem with it. Check in as I had to wait for my partner (which was the one I was going to pay) 7 hours until I arrived to be able to enter the room, we were charged everything before we came in, when it was supposed that in all the decent hotels I've been I have charged everything when checking out! I won't be back.

Who needs only one room — OK. Two nights O. Breakfast lay at over 280. — Euro. Since I was traveling professionally, I needed an invoice with a corresponding letterhead. The staff at the hotel is not able to write a reasonable bill. The first version was a hand-written receipt. For further inquiries and requests, I was told that the bill had been sent by mail. This mail has never arrived. Further inquiries caused annoying staff. Finally a paper version of an invoice. There, however, was not, as requested several times and specified in the booking portal, the company registered as the invoice recipient. The information was available to the hotel but was not implemented and could not be changed. Later on the paper version my name was covered with TipEx and by hand the name of the company was entered, scanned and sent as a PDF by mail. I lack any understanding. Was I the first guest who needed a tax-correct bill for his company? In addition, more money has been deducted than shown on the invoice. If you want to have breakfast, you better eat away. What is spent in the hotel as a breakfast can be described as very spartan. My room was up on a large-scale moldy corner as far as O. K. The walls, however, are thin as paper. This caused short sleep breaks.

It is well located, the bus stop is less than 2 min from the hotel, plus there are many places like bar and restaurants or markets where you can eat something, the attention is very good and the people at the front desk are very friendly… the room is a little small but that's depends from which you ask.

The bed was fresh and clean. We just needed a place to stay for one night and taking a shower. The bad thing was that the bathroom smelled like sewerage. Anything else was okay so far.

Without praise and without infamy. Very Spartan.

During Oct 2 — Nov 16, I traveled 4 different countries for business and stayed in 14 different hotels without any problems except Hotel Blyss in Amsterdam, which was the worst hotel in my life. Even though Hotel Blyss advertised free Wi-Fi, there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, which was desperately needed for my business emails. To make the matters worse, Hotel Blyss towels smelled of Indian food, shower had black mold, missing sink stopper, mismatching 2 bed lamps with missing light bulb, dirty doors and walls, Hotel Blyss was worse than a 10€ hostel where I have stayed in my youth. I immediately complained to the front desk about the Wi-Fi connection and unclean room and was told there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms. I was told there was no manager present whom I could speak about the cancellation. I booked for 3 nights but I had to leave next morning at 9am and offered to pay for one night stayed and asked for 2 nights refund since I moved to Hotel Mercure, Amsterdamm. After many refund requests after 2 months, Hotel Blyss still refuse to give refund.

Room has TV and comfortable bed. No air con in the bathroom. No kettle with tea/coffee.

Outside Hui, inside ugh. Relatively rundown hotel with small, we call it "unorthodox" rooms. Breakfast buffet should be avoided as a guest. Soundproofing between the rooms non-existent. This place should be avoided.

Terrible hotel. Carpets smelt of damp. Room no bigger or better than a jail cell I'm sure (seemed to me anyway). Mattress was way to soft so I had back pains. It should not be rated as it is.

The convenient location and connection to the sights and the city centre were for me the only positive in this hotel. 115, — € for an overnight stay without breakfast, in a 12m/2 basement room with SPARTANISCHSTER equipment, no cleaning, no towels; Without storage in the bathroom/toilet. When I came back in the evening, my room door was open!

Pretty expensive for a small room very thin walls as well bring ear plugs for sure as well as hair shampoo and soap the one they provide sucks. The location is very nice 20 min walk to the heinekin experience 15 to the Van Gogh and there's so pretty good bars and clubs within a 10 min walk, melkweg the Chicago social house if you like techo music.

I arrived a lot later than initially planned so the woman doing my check in was not most thrilled about it. I had booked a single room for myself but got upgraded to a massive double. The mattresses are bit worn so you sleep bit in a hole. Pillows are massive and bit too high for a good sleeping position. And you can hear everything happening outside and in hallway. Wifi is free but it goes in and out of service but it's good enough to stream YouTube videos when working.

Awful. The bathroom stank and there was a strange situation where the toilet and the shower were actually one — just bizarre. Beds are comfy enough and location works well, but massively overpriced and not a 3 star at all.

The hotel lobby is very nice, the staff are friendly and informative however this should not be classified as a 3 star hotel. The rooms are small and show a lot of wear. We booked through Priceline and our issues are with them and their star rating.

Definitely an exquisite stay. The staff were extremely delightful, especially the manager Ronnick. Will definitely stay here again when I come back.

The coffee is not great but the beds are comfortable.

Modern Hotel, close to the park in a residential area. Deco in Refresh (plugs, broken switches, bathroom to refresh…). Surcharge of 5 or 10% supp for CB payment is unacceptable.

The location is pretty good, a little walk and you are in the center, also very close to the museums. My room was a standard double, quite normal. The same heating you asaba that ran short. The bathroom is tiny but functional. The stairs up to the hotel quite steep, and because of its construction, I would not recommend it to people with reduced mobility. The breakfast is 10 euros and for less you can have breakfast on many sites. The furnishing is already a bit outdated. Very friendly staff.

I went to amsterdam to spend 4 days and cogi this hotel for the proximity to leidsplein I was told that the rooms were small and the others but when you arrive it was to the contrary. Staff very friendly, the room was perfect with 2 beds together and the shower very amp. I'll be back safe.

The Hotel does not correspond to the pictures. It is dirty, the Service is abysmal, we waited 2 days for new towels. The bathroom is tiny, no towel holder. The room and the Hotel stank, according to chemistry. Our view was to a backyard, on the roof of a cotton swab waste were to be found, etc. Wallpaper had stains. Our double bed was pushed together and a thin mattress was placed on it, the beds slide apart with time, and the thin mattress gave. The Breakfast cost per Person 10 euro extra. When we arrived, was included in our Gepäch temporarily in a room. In this room, about 20 other cases were, however, of course, no guarantee was made if a piece of Luggage was lost, since everyone had in this room access. The Windows were also not close. Expensive, room is small, on the top floor Wi-Fi is not good. Lift only to 2nd floor. All around the hotel recommended see more several than parity.

The hotel is in a good location, close to the center (10 minutes walk) and the most important museums (5 minutes walk). The staff is polite and friendly. The rooms are small and fairly dated, but they are cleaned regularly. Recommended for those who want to make a holiday in Amsterdam without spending too much.

The room… The walls were dirty, the shower only dribbled, no soap in the bathroom either. The 'skirting boards' were falling off. The main light didn't work. No air conditioning, Wi-Fi was poor. Not worth the price paid for at all, even though it was in a good location. Other guests were shouting during the night until 5am, leaving the hotel stinking of weed by the morning. Breakfast (costing 20€ for two people) was the biggest rip off I've ever experienced; there was no hot food and only stale bread, tacky cheese, and two kinds of cereal. Very disappointed and would not stay there again.

Really bad. Only the entrance looks clean, but the rooms are not absolutely. You hark back only the beds and give some dusting, making the room after a few days unlivable for dirt that you create. 2 stars only for the location, the hotel is just around a park near downtown, and the beds, which are, at least those, comfortable.

Firstly the hotel is in a very good area to many places of convinence it has staff that treated us as family rooms good with a nice garden at the rear. We stayed for 13days n the hospitality we got was very warm n for sure to stay n introduce to friends. To the staff a very big thank u n god bless. Manmohan n family.

Small but clean. Very nice people, generous with information and time. Would recommend and stay again if in the area. Good value for the money.
