Lovely hotel. Great location.

For what we where there for, it was just right. There was a little problem with the getting access to the room, otherwise, exemplary service.

Very friendly and helpful staff upon arrival. Very modern, clean and well equipped room. Good location for exploring Amsterdam. Didn’t eat in the hotel but found the bar areas very well stocked and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly staff at the Apollo when we are next in Amsterdam.

The receptionists were super nice and helpful. I arrived wet and cold from the inclement weather. Not too mention, I was jet lagged from a long flight. The receptionist got me into my room early and allowed me to partake of the breakfast. Everyone here is wonderful.

My room had a view to the elevator, other than that I liked to stay here. The room was clean and I liked the style of the bathroom. The bed mattress was too soft for me.

The staff at this hotel were so kind and helpful! In the middle of a vacation, I received word that a family member had unexpectedly passed away back at home right as I was getting on my flight to Amsterdam. Due to this, I ended up staying at this hotel for one night and booking a flight home the next morning. Obviously, I was pretty emotional and exhausted (as I was also travelling alone with my five-year old) when I arrived at the front desk. The staff at this hotel were so kind and compassionate when they learned what was happening. They helped welcome my son, brought smiles to both of our faces, and helped bring us right to our room. I was on the verge of tears and their compassion was super appreciated. Seriously, it was one of those nice moments of humans helping other humans.

I was first given a room that wasn’t ready, a messy bed and really dirty walls. So I went downstairs and requested a different room. I was moved to a different room on the same floor and a few hours later I noticed a terrible smell coming out of the shower drain. Frustrated and tired from all my traveling, I went downstairs again and asked for another room. This time I got a decent room which I used for the duration of my stay. I wish I considered the reviews for this hotel more before I made a reservation. Yes, the location is great. However, pretty much everything else about this hotel is bad news. I do have to mention that the hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating of my requests. Which is the only reason I’m giving this review one extra star. The hotel management REALLY needs to consider adding a few upgrades to this hotel. They could start by at least cleaning the walls in the rooms.

A really good hotel with an excellent location just outside of the city centre of canals and the walk in is not too bad. Even at your doorstep you have bars, restaurants, even a casino! The staff and the service is pretty good. They are attentive and someone is always able to help. They were able to help with booking a taxi early in the morning with a flat fee to the airport of 39 euros. There is a nice bar/seating area which is spacious but when it is busy when breakfast or dinner it can be packed. There are computers in the lobby if needed but not sure if you have to pay to use. Breakfast was okay, could use more of a variety. The rooms however was small. The place for two people was just not enough. The bathroom was also very tiny. The tap when over the sink so it made it hard to use. A weird design choice. The shower door was not fully sealed so water so actually pour past the door. Overall it is a good hotel, good location, good service but it is just the room that let it down. But while you are on holiday it is nice enough to chill, nothing more.

I doubt very much that we'd stay here again. The hotel could use some updates and repairs, from torn carpet to A/C not working. The room was a bit small as well and they weren't able to accommodate an early arrival. Despite being honeymooners, the front desk made no effort to upgrade or enhance our visit (despite my offer to pay for it). The only saving grace for our stay was the friendly bartender in the lobby bar. He was polite and personable and made sure we at least left the hotel with a smile. 2 stars — 1 for the young bartender, and 1 for the elevator working.

We came to the bridge on April 25th. The hotel externally has a very good but inside it needs some renovation. The rooms were not really clean and the staff did not speak Italian. The TV has never worked and as far as we have reported no one has deified to fix it. In favor I have to say it is in a tactical place and the breakfasts are plentiful and varied.

Simple and convenient, the room is not exceptional but the location is perfect if you want to enjoy the city center.

Bad reception! When I arrived I had to load stairs, only access, my suitcase of 20 kilograms. The worst thing is the reception, the best… Pretty clean, so far. You have to make long lines to get anything or service. Be careful what you count on.

We have been 5 nights and the hotel has seemed very good, very clean, very well located, overall a good hotel.

Good, kind, clean… Cannabis diffuser in the hallways or someone was smoking in the room? In any case it didn't bother… scented water dispenser in the lobby.

Very small room and cleanliness is not the best. Breakfast is plentiful.

Bad experience the small room we don't talk then about the bathroom with a sink that is as big as a basin of once the faucet covers all the washstand impossible to wash hands and teeth then the dirty room see photo.

It is very central and comfortable to get to know Amsterdam.

Very disappointed by this hotel to the rooms with a view on the canal very noisy, bedding more than mediocre since 2 small box springs of different heights to make a bed 2 places so impossible to sleep, the staff not listening and who does not seek absolutely not has Find a solution. Breakfast is very simple with little choice in sweet. It is a pity because it is close to museums and close to transportation.

The hotel and breakfast are good. The reception is not. You will have difficulty if you need info on were to eat or to go. Also I used the wake up call twice. One failed. The rooms are very small but clean and complete. The view from our room was nice.

I liked the hotel. The rooms are really very small but there are no problems with the same plumbing, for example. Wi-Fi is workable, good breakfasts. Very beautiful around — it's a museum quarter. It's very close, a lot of walking distance. Van Gog, Rembrandt, Dormer — all close). Nearby isle of all with Hard Rock Cafe at the head, the canal with the beginning of the routes of observation walks through the canals is also 2 steps away. You can find everything not far away. And friendly and hospitable staff.

Very small rooms but they are compensated by good location near the Rijksmuseum.

All in all a very nice hotel with very good possibilities to explore the city. Right on the doorstep you can go with the messengers, Taxi's are everywhere anyway and that best, you actually reached on foot also all interesting in a few minutes.

Expect a £150 deposit when you book in. I recommend paying this in cash, as you get the exact money back. I made the mistake of paying on my card where I have lost nearly £10 due to exchange rates and conversion rates. I had a lot of trouble receiving my deposit back, with many back and forth emails due to the front office staff making a mistake and returning the money to a random unknown account. It has been nearly 2 months and I have finally received my deposit back after having to prove they did not return my money through bank statements. Apart from that, hotel is in a nice spot, right next to the Rijks Museum, its less than 10 minute walk to the main bits of Amsterdam, rooms aren't amazing but they're not bad. I wouldn't recommend getting breakfast at the hotel as it is £12.50 for not a lot, all that was on offer was toast, cereal, fruit and orange juice. You are much better off going into the center and finding a little cafe. Nice staff, but have been put off due to the issues with my deposit.

Very nice hotel conveniently located next to the Rikjsmuseum. Only downside the room where we stayed was very small, just like the bathroom. Moreover, the glass door of the bathroom is not opaque enough so privacy: 0. Expensive breakfast (12, 50th) with nothing extraordinary!

A very simple Hotel. Very small rooms with micro bathrooms. Suitable for visitors with limited budget and no high level requirements for an accommodation. Too simple for business travelers, romantic couples or people with expectations towards accommodation.

Nice rooms, nice service, nice breakfast. Taxis arrive very quickly on request and have fair rates, not completely reasonable but okay. And the best part is — the location… many famous streets are very close from the hotel. Only thing which is a problem — the size of washrooms. Overall — fair choice if you are in Amsterdam. And for Indians — myself being Indian, I thought that water would be easily available, it was but very costly. The hotel charges about 4 euros for 500 Litre of water bottle, so buy it from subway or other stores where it is about 2 euros. But I can assure you that you can drink the water from the tap… as it is potable in Netherlands and it is free…

The rooms were small, difficult to access by small stairs and steep. And especially very little community help.

The location was great. There was a water leak issue in my room, but the staff was attentive and helpful. Breakfast isn't free but a large buffet selection. The bikes available for hire are the best bikes in the city! Luggage storage was also super easy.

Fantastic hotel with great location. City easily accessible with nearby tram stops. In the museum Quarter within walking distance of Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museums. Lovely staff, let them know if you are celebrating and there will be a pleasant surprise. Would definitely return.

The hotel is located in an ideal location to the centre. The rooms are OK. The bathroom looks relatively new. The rooms are not super large and luxurious, but for a short stay absolutely sufficient. The lobby and breakfast area are also fine. The breakfast buffet is relatively small. But there should still be something for everyone. I was satisfied and would go back.

The room was a bit small. The beds were constantly slipping apart. The mattresses were very well located. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Breakfast/Restaurant not taken advantage of.

Rooms were small, but this wasn't unexpected. Rooms were nice enough, although there was no hairdryer and the staff had difficulty obtaining one, although they apologized and offered me a drink for keeping me waiting. The staff were generally very kind and helpful. The location was also good, next to some of the museums and just a few minutes walk away from the Heineken Experience and Bols experience, with easy access to trams and buses going to/from the airport and the centre of Amsterdam. All good.

Way. You have to be very intimate with the person you are sleeping with. The door of the shower room is glazed. The walls would need a refreshing drink.

Rooms are pretty small, but that's pretty much standard in Amsterdam. Not very clean, and housekeeping barely does anything other than make the beds and put out fresh towels. No plugs near the bed, so if you have anything that needs to be plugged in near the bed, bring an extension cord. Staff is very nice though. Friendly.

I had the pleasure of staying here recently. Upon arrival, the receptionist noticed my D. O. B. And wished me a happy birthday as it was the following day. The following evening when I returned to my room, the hotel staff had left a little surprise for me. Some balloons, a card, champagne and chocolate. It was a lovely gesture I thought and meant so much. I would highly recommend this hotel, beds are comfortable, showers are good, rooms are clean and excellent customer service.

Best bargain hotel deal we could find in the city centre in September. Rooms fine and clean. So handy for the Ryksmuseum and the Van Gogh gallery — which are a MUST see. Allow at least 2 hours for each visit and essential to book ahead on line most of the year.

Ideal situation looking on to the Rijksmuseum. Easy walking distance from everywhere… extremely pleasant staff who made us very welcome, good copious breakfast… pity about the shower (which was sort of strangely chic! ) leaking all over the bathroom floor… spoiler alert… don't leave your clothes on the bathroom floor when showering!

Be alert when staying in this hotel and have the police emergency number ready. There is a syndicate working to scam the tourist. This might involve internal staffs working with outsiders. Police is already alerted. They will knock your door in the early morning to create suspicions and ask for money in the end. Always refer to the police if you have legitimate booking. Stay safe guys.

The recent renovation of this hotel has made a huge difference. Rooms are stylish and the views over the water are great. The staff seem happy and motivated, I will happily return to this hotel.

If you stay here with more than 1 person in a room try to not book the regular double instead book the next higher option. Room is way to small for 2 people. There is a desk in the room that takes up about half the walking space. No place to even put 2 suitcases. No outlets near the bed which isn't a huge deal but when the have an outlet near front door and not the bed makes it more frustrating. Good thing about this hotel is it's awesome location.

Rooms are comfortable and clean and staff are friendly and helpful. We saw someone get in trouble for smoking in the room and setting off the fire alarm, so don't do that! (They made it very clear in the room contract, so no excuses. ) The bikes here are genuine Gazelles and worth the slight extra you might pay compared to dodgy cheap bike hire companies. There are renovations currently but they have not been disruptive. The hotel is in a good location with some great breakfast spots nearby.

Nice quiet hotel. For the 4 stars has all the necessary amenities. Delicious breakfasts. No gym, but there is a nice Park where you can run in the morning.

The hotel is easy to find being next to one of the big museum's. The reception area and bar are nicely decorated and are nice places to sit of an evening. The drinks are a bit expensive in the bar though. The room is a reasonable size but needs a bit of work. Luckily we were on the quiet side as the road outside is busy.

Very nice hotel but the value for money is not justified especially for the surface of the room… Otherwise hearty breakfast buffet. Valet Service at 30 euros per night appreciable…

We were really happy with our 3 night stay. The hotel was great value for the location and quality. We were there during some hot summer days so we were thankful for the AC (although it was pretty weak). The room had a safe and a hair dryer (plus all the normal things). We loved this location and found it so easy and quick to get around all of the city. We had no issues with noise nor smells. Our bathroom did smell a bit of smoke, but there was nothing that impacted our stay. I would recommend this as a great budget hotel!

Hotel ideal for exploring Amsterdam. Personal friendly and friendly.

Overall great hotel! Very accommodating. We were going to miss out free breakfast because wr needed to leave the hotel before 6 am to get to the airport and they arranged to send us a breakfast box at 5:15 at no additional charge. The reason it is a 4 instead of 5 is because I wish they had blackout curtains. We came in May and the sunsets about 10 pm and rises about 5 am. The room got too bright.

Good place with great breakfast. The rooms were nice, but we did have to ask twice to get our room changed. Still, everyone at the reception is very kind and the overall service is good. Would recommend.

We have stayed at this hotel with some of our distributors from some 12 different countries during the Car Wash Show. We were treated very kindly by the staff at this beautiful Hotel. Especially by Linda, very sweet and always smiling manager. Then again the concierges were also of very great help to make our journey very agreeable. Thank you Linda.

Clean, well maintained, professionally operated. As with many hotels in Amsterdam, American English is readily spoken. A separately ventilated indoor smoking room is available. Guest elevators are very narrow, comfortably holding 2-3 people. Adequate shower water pressure, excellent shower water temperature. Hotel staff is ABOVE average in their delivery of customer care and service, and appear genuine at all times. The physical location of the hotel is 30 minutes walking from Central Station, and all other attractions are closer than that (market, flower market, museums, canal tours, bike/scooter/car rentals. Shuttle service to Schiphol Airport is available. Very pleasant stay. Despote the narrow elevators, I would rate this hotel higher than the available 5 stars, and look forward to staying here in the future.

Nice, modern hotel in convenience location. Room was very clean and staff were pleasant. Easy walk to the tram and local shops. The downside is that it's not really located near the night life and main action. If that's what you're looking for you might want to stay a bit further north.

Quick book in with a very polite receptionist, room 537 good size and comfortable. Everything you would expect from a business class hotel, double comfortable bed, nice bathroom, desk and free Wi-Fi. Fantastic shower in the bathroom. A little way out of the city centre but a 5 minute walk to a local tram stop will get you into the city in about twenty minutes.

Brilliant stay, very helpful staff. Such a lovely place to relax after a busy day in the historic city. Our baggage was lost at schiphol airport and the hotel delt with the phone calls to get it back. So glad. As in was a worst nightmare situation. Would recommend to people happy to explore the area and find there way around. :-).

Great hotel with excellent service! the new room are beautiful and very convenient. Very near to all the attractions and the hotel itself is beautifully located on the canals. In the summer they have a great terrace to enjoy the summer.

Excellent hotel, very friendly service, when I rose I category of room, excellent cleaning, the delicious food, I became a fan of the salmon sandwich. A little away from the Center 30 minutes by tram, you get walking to the Museum area. In summary a very pleasant experience.

Avoid this hotel. Its really two hotels in one, the tower is modern and pretty nice and updated. The shorter building is very old, with cold rooms, non-working heat and broken furniture left over from the 80s/90s. Wyndham is obviously using this as a money maker since lots of conferences are held nearby. Service is horrible and is the classic "we don't care" European service (which most of Amsterdam is way better about this). Employees are nice at first, but are too lazy to help with even minor issues (like you know no heat in the rooms in the middle of winter).

Unfortunately, the Wyndham is away hotel is too far from the Centre. On the other hand, it was so quiet. What was but very to me, was the cleanliness. In the first assigned hotel room, the walls were dirty and the highlight was the minibar. The mini bar must be have been no longer cleaned probably for weeks; on the side walls were yellow, Brown sticky dirt points and a hair lay on the shelf. According to a complaint a larger room with a beautiful view was assigned to us with nice and clean bathroom. The window and the curtains were dirty but.
The morning buffet was generous and very good. The employees goods seeking guests, however I expect from a 4 star hotel, that when I go to the buffet for the 2nd time that the plates on the table is cleared. In addition, I would like to mention that the price of €22 50 per breakfast per person, is very very high.
We had to make a prepayment of 200 euros at check-in; know why the vulture.

Rooms require urgent refurbishment. Not worth the price.

Nothing bad Hotel and a short walk from the centre of Amsterdam. Recommended for those who do not want to spend much but have the comforts of a 3 star Hotel.

Had returned from a trip, all happy with (air tour "the craziest couple: Amsterdam-Paris, 13.06.2011). Everything was very clear and orderly! Guides on almost all tours-great, got a lot of fun. Paris hotel had a good location, but the room was not large: — (although it is not particularly bother.
