Perfect location. We had the suite with canal view. Lovely. It's 2 connected rooms and an alcove. Front room is large, has king size bed, bathroom, round table that easily seats 4, sitting area with a windowseat area that opens overlooking the street and canal. Loved this. 2nd rooom is large, also with a large bed and sitting area. Alcove faces the back courtyard has large windows across and a small refrigerator. Our host was very friendly and informative. Wonderful. Easy walking distance to Vondelpark, Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum. Short tram ride to anne frank house, palace, de wallen, etc… Especially recommend the hot dog cart across from the information center at the north end of vondelpark. Delicious and cheap.

Our room had a canal view. It was the perfect location. Tram or easy walk to town center or museums. Bathroom was large and updated. Room had a small balcony with table and two chairs. Perfect spot to sit and have morning coffee and watch the canal boats. Would highly recommend. Paula, the owner, was very helpful. She gave us a map and a brief rundown on the city. You'll have her phone number to call or text, if needed. The hotel is part of a concierge app that gives suggestions for restaurants but also helps you navigate the city. We will definitely stay at the Tulipa again on our next visit to Amsterdam.
