Been there once during summer. There was no a/c available in our 4 bed room. The quality of the room was "sufficient". As some of the rooms are directly above a (gay) bar — expect some loud music until closing hour. Still a 5 star review, because in my case the central location of this place was paramount. The staff was very nice and helpful, too.

If I could give this place a zero I would the absolute worst place to stay nothing but lies and screw ups. The reception people only made situation of there mistakes worst and ruined my trip. Please do not make the same mistake I did and book it to the horroable hotel.

A small, family run hotel. Nothing to shout from the rooftops about, but did exactly what we needed it to for our short 2 night stay. Perfect location, right near all of the action. Initially it was quite difficult to find, because there aren't any clear signs, and the hotel itself is located directly above a club (see picture attached). It got noisy every night due to music, but for the most part it didn't seem to be an issue. Once inside, we were greeted by the owner, who checked us in and asked us what time we wanted breakfast. She asked us what time we would like breakfast brought to our room (? ) We asked for a time, and (hilariously) she then asked us if it could be a different time instead. Breakfast was … interesting. A glass of non-descript juice, a slice of processed chicken and cheese, a yoghurt, and a slice of bread. Definitely unappetising, but we were hungry so we ate it anyway. The rooms themselves are okay, and will fulfill your basic needs. Hair dryer, beds, etc.

Stayed here last weekend as a group of friends. Staff were friendly and rooms were spotlessly clean. Great location. Don't be put off by only a 2 star rating. Will definitely return. Soon!

Wouldn't even give this place one star! Yuk yuk yuk is all I can say only good thing about this place is the location! Poor customer service, disgusting room this place should be demolished.

Perfect place to stay a few days in Amsterdam, the only inconvenience is the pub below that closes at 5 in the morning and you hear enough music in Kas rooms.

Very good location near to Rembrandt Square. Kind staff. But not very quiet.

Good location. Basic rooms. There is a nightclub right behind the hotel, so it was difficult to get a good night's sleep.

Great location Surrounded by all kinds of shops can serve (supermarket, restaurants, rent a bike, atm, cafeteria, coffee shop, souvenir shop).
Also, it is only a 10 minute walk to Dam Square.
The Hotel is not the cleanest, but it deserves 5 stars also for the typicality of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff.

Located in the centre, on top of a concert hall. Impossible to rest. Tiny room with bathroom out of the room. No elevator. It is very expensive for what is offered. It was very clean, yes.

Really happy with the room view from window was lovely only bad point was the TV picture but wasn't to bothered as spent most the day out would stay here again as the rooms were clean and staff were really nice.

The Hotel is centrally located and the staff was extremely friendly. Price-to-performance ratio is appropriate. Our double room was clean, however the walls are very thin, so you hear activity in the other room. The bathroom was small, served its purpose and was clean. All in all, we were glad to have in the short term a room in the monopolies. The stay was fine.

The best thing is the location of the hotel, but the quality of the hotel leaves a little to be desired, since it just has a disco side, and the rooms resound to the music. In addition to a lot of heat and our room overlooked a courtyard full of machines of air conditioning that is also heard quite. The rooms are small but clean and the bed is comfortable. The worst the bathroom, are very old and small.

Not so nice place to stay in Amsterdam, but the location was very good.

Price is for the location absolutely okay, but can here anything are expected, and just never order breakfast. Rooms are extremely small and they are top only by a "ladder" to achieve.

Oh man, big disappointment! I booked a single room with bathroom … and yes, I got room number five with the bathroom in the hall. Yes, it's very clearly mentioned number 5 has it's bathroom in the hall … NOT! Small room, hot. Worst hotel in 50+ bookings. One to avoid!

Not the best stay I've ever had. The room (12) was generaly clean but I did ask for and get a clean shower curtain. No choice for breakfast, which was delivered to the room on time. No window but skylights. Noisy at night from various low frequency sources including music venues. Staff responsive and friendly but coukd not help with the noise. Very expensive for what you get. I would not stay there again, enough said.

Room 5's "private" bathroom isn't en-suite. The room was noisy, and very hot. The included breakfast wasn't, and they charged an additional 5% to pay by credit card that wasn't mentioned when booking. Avoid, at all costs.

Location is great but hotel itself looks really cheap, rooms are small and dirty.

Good choice to spend a few days in Amsterdam, we stayed 4 adults in one of the apartments, and it was really a good choice. Good location, close to RembrandtPlein, lively area of the city with quite a few alternatives to eat, drink, dance, etc, Fairly central location and with views of the Amstel, pretty clean and a good attention. The downside is some noise at night and the steep stairs.

Had a rest with a young man from 30 April to 8 may. Settled in us not in the main building of the hotel and in another body, that in the description there is not a word: the room, the views of the others in the room, poor Breakfast, no kettle, no Ironing set, 2 towels in the shower, tiled floor and there is no mouse pad for the feet, shower gel on the bottom. After small showdown (it turns out we are guilty, that have not specified when ordering, that we want a room with canal view), we were offered after 4 days to resettle in the main building, when there will be rooms available. The next day after room cleaning gel and not poured and took all the towels, clean within hanging at all! Again they had to go to deal (Hairdryer us did allocated). For Breakfast we had to walk to the main building. Having moved, at first we were happy, and maybe even decided that the hotel is not too bad (although the number is still not correspond to the declared in the description, TC almost all of the bed, and about any table with chairs (as in the photo) can not be and speeches, it is difficult place to find even for 2 suitcases), until the day of departure is not found погрызенную rat (or mouse) the food on the table and in the Cabinet, and upon arrival and even подъеденный cheese (bought as a gift to relatives) in a suitcase! It is a pity to leave at 7 am, so would just went understand and claim the money for moral damage.

Negatives: very average room standing, noise of pubs the night, fair breakfast, friendly staff and stairs and ladders
For summary, hotel interesting for young people on a budget who want to go out and who are not bothered by noise at night.
Avoid otherwise.

Don't go has a good location but it is dirty and it is a real mess, the shower was gross, the door you hear absolutely everything, the blanket inside was a yellow, no breakfast and no views, sounds of the local gay that you're down. I usually go to hostels or budget hotels, just ask for a room with bathroom and it is clean, I had read many bad reviews of this hotel (look at tripadvisor) and I thought that it would not be so much that people are complaining so much, it is much, much worse. Horrible. Look at the Nes, Eden, Rokin, Ibis or any NH that you can claim, here if you say that you don't like the room, don't return the money. I would not recommend it to anyone. It is very dirty and noisy. If you do not like the room they do not refound you your money. No telephone, no views, bed dirty. I hope you look others betters hostel with similar rates.
