Superb quiet serenite place.

Nice people beautiful buildings. Great service and beautiful room.

We had a lovely time. The abbey is quite beautiful and the restaurant serves a very delicious multi course meal that amazes the pallet.

The location is amazing. It is very quiet and peaceful. We went here for a drink and some ice creams. The service was good, the ice creams were nice and it isn't too expensive. Very good place to relax.

The location is really amazing. You can go there to take a walk, have good times with friends and family and even have a wonderful meal.

Good service, delicious food, interesting architecture and very nice staff. It is possible to play the piano, watch deer on a fenced-off area and spend time together on the terrace. Overall successful ambience, even if the rooms can get a little warmer under the roof in summer.

Clean rooms, superb restaurant, friendly staff unfortunately very thin walls (can hear the other guests clearly) and no lounge room to relax with a cup of coffee or book. This can be easily created in such a beautiful building.

Great atmosphere, rooms a bit simple, bathroom in the hallway. An abbey. We felt very comfortable.

The photograph are not telling the truth, all the rooms decorations are out of times, very small windows and old ugly toilet, very small lift which most time doesn't work. The closely Flecher 4 star Hotel is better. We brought 54 people and made official confirmed for a reservation of 26 double rooms and 2 single rooms. But booked 1 extra room without sending me any confirmation or checking with me. They refuse to give me any refund and they even charged city tax for this room with no people.

Very clean. Very beautiful Abbey. Well worth a short stay. Great restaurant too. You get exactly what they say you get. Not luxurious, but you wouldn't expect that from an Abbey!

Room was amazing, great history put into small details. It's an old monastery used for multiple things, Airbnb, hotel, restaurant, entertainment and historical purposes. Bathrooms could do with updating. Food is absolutely amazing.

Beautiful place… cold corridor in winter. Because no radiator… genuine stone obliges.

Brilliant place rooms are a bit basic and communal toilets and showers but great historical place to stay restaurants and bars are brilliant.

Beautiful hotel in a surreal setting.

It is a nice setting but in terms of hotel services it is seriously lacking. The place is obviously old but they could have done something about the noise; I can hear everyone walking by or above me! The food was below standard; limited breakfast and buffet lunch (if you get that). The restaurant was crazy expensive which should not be the case for the only accessible place to eat in a reasonable distance. Drinks were also too expensive. I hate it when the staff answers in German or Dutch when clearly we are a group of internationals. Lastly the receptionist, even though he was very polite, assured us that we don't have to book a place at the restaurant, but we should have as it was nearly full! I wouldn't come again.

Beautiful location and grounds. The Abby is from 1680s. There is a farm in front to the side, deer, chickens, goats, and swans. Went for a marriage retreat dinner. We ate in the basement bar. Very cozy, fit about 20 couples. The food was preselected. I had fish, my spouse had beef. Tasted good, prepared beautifully, nice presentation. Good wait staff.

There is no telling, the location is fabulous, the rooms nice and clean, the staff friendly. It looks like a five-star review… and instead…
My experience was quite negative! You need to be very careful where they make you stay, as not all of the available rooms are in the main body. Some are in a nearby building (50-60 meters) forming part of the same architectural complex, but not connected!
In the summer I don't think it's a big drawback, but if it rains you get wet like chicks just to go (and come back) to breakfast. (You cannot park in the inner yard).
The hotel restaurant, compared to quality and quantity in the dish, is more expensive.
Not all compulsory facilities for 3-star hotels are respected.

I find this really very good hotel, a real Castle very well maintained with beautiful gardens, very professional staff and a food of choice. But what's even more attractive is the price. A hotel for all, I highly recommend it.

We were invited to a wedding there, as I am myself a trained chef I can write a quite well there offered food and I must say it was overpriced and just plain awful. An absolute joke.

I was in the summer of 2006, on the spot, when there was almost no room in Aachen
because of the CHIO horse riding and jumping tournament.
First observation: no TV (TV), shower in the corridor as in youth hostels and knarrender wooden floor.
But still somehow strongly as a monk on time. Just something else!
Just as modern networked Europeans then indefinitely quite "dull".
But absolutely suitable for a mental/spiritual retreat!
