Very well maintained hostel in a converted prison. Each sleeping pod has its own lighting and one power outlet for your phone, etc. Comfy as long as you don't mind a bit of noise from the other occupants.

The rooms are nice and clean and you can't hear any of the other guests. It's a really cool experience sleeping in an old prizon!

A very special and unique experience. We spent 2 nights and it was worth it. To remodel a former penitentiary as a cultural, gastro and hostel space is a great idea, and here it was done at it's best.
Despite that Alibis owners are there every day ensuring all runs well. Don't miss the chance to experience Alibis.

They had a nice place where everyone could sociolize but otger geusts could hear us if we talked on a normal volume.

I stayed here for a night before the dorms opened when I arrived to the Netherlands a day early. The staff was so friendly, the place was so clean and cool! They let me keep my bags there until my dorm opened and gave me a tour of the place when I arrived. Would recccomend!

Dorm room review: the firm was interesting in that it reminded me of those Japanese tube hotels. Each person has a plywood box. The beds are comfortable, and clean. Four stars because towels are not provided and the lockers are too small and flimsy to put all your things in with good conscious. But it was a beautiful reno to an old prison, breakfast was basic but good (I'm gluten free and was able to eat).

I liked it, clean and safe. Nice bed, and for a little bit extra you have your own bathroom otherwise share with other guests. Breakfast not special but okay.

Really great place for an affordable unique experience. Construction made it difficult to find so I would recommend better signs or else 5 stars.

Our stay at Alibi Hostel was pleasant. The rooms are somewhat small, which contributes, however, to the Flair. The collection showers are clean and well maintained. The Hostel does not have its own Parking but you can inform to a cheap car Park. We had booked a double bed but we had to close only two normal beds we had to push together ourselves.

Cool hostel, simple and clean.

First time in Leeuwarden, this place made me feel at home. Location could not be better, enjoyed nice walks and views. Design gives out relaxing lounge vibe, and luxury to some extent. Staff is wonderfull and their kindness made my stay very memorable! Thank you all very much!

Very friendly… nice and modern facilities whilst maintaining the "Prison Vibe"… central location and even has little local stores on the bottom floor that sells art and stuff.

Located directly in the city center with a nice prison flair! Friendly employees and a good price/quality ratio! If you need a room to stay in leeuwarden, Alibi hostel is the place to be!

Super Hostel. Very friendly staff. Since the Hostel is an old prison, everything seems a bit freaky but it's a super atmosphere. Only the noise of a construction site Next to the building, disturbed by the noise level a bit. Very Central location in the city centre you can explore from the Hostel, everything. Always gladly again.

Great hostel, only do not get coffee here, it is nasty.

I like the history of the prison and the cultural events that happens every weekend. Nice place to stay and the staff are just great no other words can describe it for me.
