Clean, although it is frequented by young people, silent. Safety at the top you can enter in the area the night after the various steps, only using the magnetic key of the room. The room and bathroom spartan but with all the services. Very friendly staff, large and beautiful common areas. Tram stop and supermarket very close.

A great value for money place. The room is sufficiently big, the staff is always approachable. Location is also apt, the tram goes right out of the hotel and there are food joints and supermarket right across the street. Moreover you can stand a chance to win a bike rent free. Really enjoyed staying here. A fullmark in hospitality, cleanliness, room size and every other aspects.

Rather dissapointed by the false expectations put forward online. Otherwise the value for money is there. As a first year international student, this was a great place to start off in a new country.

My stay here was one that won't be forgotten any time soon, and for good reason! The hotel has such a great vibrant, friendly feel. The facilities are clean and modern. The staff went above and beyond to help me out; Especially the manager Kirstin. She helped me become familiar with the hotel and was always offering herself for anything that was needed to make my stay most comfortable. Great place and will recommend to anyone.

What an amazing place! Truly unique experience. Extremely kind personal, always ready for both a chat or to help out. 10/10 would recommand and 11/10 would come again!

Saturday morning prior to a stamp auction in the Excelsior Football Stadium; as a non hotel resident and non-student, the breakfast price/quality ratio is good.

767€ per month and you don't even get electricity in the kitchen! It has been two months and we have reported the problem multiple times. But as usual, the greedy TSH prefers to spend time putting a paper on my bike telling me that's it's not in the correct place rather than actually fixing problems that matter. The concept is nice and the hotel has a lot of good qualities, but as long as they continue ripping off students, it won't matter.

It's a good place for students to work, hang out and get a few drinks. Has Wi-Fi connectivity and the service is quite fast.

‘Friendly atmosphere’ ➕ We loved the-room they gave us. It had a great view of the city. The staff were nice and they gave us welcome coffee. The room is large and clean with all the facilities such as microwave, refrigerator coffee maker. This hotel has great facilities for students. The breakfast is good and fresh. You can walk to city center and there was no need to use tram/metro for most places. Also it is student hotel but this is suitable for everyone.

Nice place to arrange events. Food and drinks was very good. Lot of students, sometimes a bit noisy, but if you don't mind that hotel is cool.

Class, exactly what I expected from a 3 star hotel. The other visitors were all very young and in English you kept coming. Super nice staff and lots of specials that you could also book. Whenever we had to ask, no matter what, we could ask them. I would keep booking there:)

The concept is nice, but the execution lacks in many ways: The cleaning is not really bimonthly, more like every 2.5 months. Kitchens are not cleaned, resulting in them becoming extremely filthy. The Wi-Fi is horrible, with constant disconnects; every couple of days (especially in the evening), the Wi-Fi crashes completely and stays down for 4-8 hours. If you are into gaming, forget about staying here. Every laundry cycle costs €3.50 (small washing machines), drying an additional €1.50. Using the study rooms also costs extra (I think it's €10). Rotterdam2Stay is a better alternative literally just around the corner.

Maybe for one night "ok" but NEVER even consider to move here full time, you will save money and energy! This probably might have been a nice place once, but the poor quality of the materials and their mentality of spending less and less on maintenance and charging students more and more has reached a critical point. The word "hotel" is clearly not appropriate, I even stayed at better hostels. On top of that the staff is rude, I guess they are tired of complains but they are not working on them. Avoid!

A very different kind of hotel. It is more like a dorm but with really nice rooms. For the price I paid, I liked the room. It had a small kitchenette, nice big bathroom and comfortable bed. The room had no wardrobe though. There are open shelves and hangers instead. The location was nice, walkable from famour cube houses (Kijk Kubus).

Long time contracts — difficult to cancel. Laundry is often not working. Mannerless and incompetent receptionists. Tasteless/meretricious interior with visible reinforcing of concrete elements.

For children but also for families attentive to savings, excellent value for money and nice location.

The new bar/restaurant is super cozy and nice. Good selection of food. The hamburger looked amazing! Definitely coming back!

A hotel with all The advantages of a hostel, including the reduced cost (60 euros a double) especially if you look at the quality of the rooms that can compete quietly with a 5-star hotel, modern spotless and equipped with every comfort, on the ground floor a bar Nice and friendly staff Only payment foresight only with no cash card.

Nice gym, amazing people but a bit pricy.

And it's expensive to win!
Already the cold shower when you reserve a hotel with a balcony and a super Cool Deco of an American student room and that arrived the room has nothing to do with the photo and the hotel is facing 4 put from another hotel.
Hotel ordered for deco design and sublime… At our arrival it was in works not specify to our reservation so very disappointed.
About the household… I understand better why the trash was full, that the bed was barely tucked and with woman's hair under the duvet… Simply quilt put on a top sheet that used to act as a sheet cover, and sheets of top at the same time (nice the nights to put back every 10 minutes the sheet which this bar) but I understand better the lack of hygiene… The housekeeping service is not spend only one time in 5 nights pass there.
Beyond the fact that the evacuations share the smell of the restaurants at the bottom of the hotel… I do not recommend this place for families… Couples where nobody of an age who like the quiet… The hotel is very young and the staff also so sometimes a lack of understanding s installs… I am 30 years old and I quickly felt not in my place…

Nice, modern and clean Hostel. The staff is extraordinarily polite and friendly. Infrastructure and transportation is right next to the building provided by tram lines. All in all a great budget stay!

Good option low cost to make short stage in the city.

Whenever I'm in Rotterdam, I like to stay here.
The standard rooms are really basic.
relatively small but clean. But even here with air conditioning.
In my opinion, however, it is worthwhile to invest the few euros more for a larger room. The room is not only larger but also includes a small kitchenette. The fridge is already a fine thing…
Unfortunately there is no free parking at the hotel. The parking fees in the. Rotterdam are pretty crass. Nearby there is a P + R where you can park for free.
The hotel generally has a good location.
The train stops immediately in front of the door and in 5 minutes you are in the "City Center"
But you are also right by the water and can walk very nicely in the city…
The best is the international, colourfully mixed audience that descends here. You always get to know nice people.
On the ground floor there are some possibilities to pass the time. There is a free fitness room (which is not bad at all), many armchairs, tables for working, pool, table tennis and much more
What I really need to complain about is the breakfast. This becomes more and more minimalist with the years.
The breakfast is really very manageable, earlier it was more.
Of course, in order to have something in my stomach in the morning, it is not enough.

A real hotel experience with large common rooms and a restaurant/bar. Staff were helpful but some were not serviceminded AT ALL, made us feel very uncomfortable. Rooms are great and the prices are good. Hotel is located quite far away from the central station. Good bikerental. Overall a good stay.

Very nice Hotel, great location and reasonable prices. Breakfast hasn't got a large variation but is really delicious. Gym is big and the possibility to rent bikes helps big-time.

Amazing decor, very helpful staff. The rooms are clean and tidy. There are also bikes to rent from the hotel. Which I found quite handy to move around the city. While visiting the hotel, check out the games room. One down side to this amazing hotel is that there's one iron for approximately 600 rooms. Finding it could be a pain. Apart from that, recommend it if you plan to visit.

Very friendly and helpful staff, cheap good bike rentals, beautiful common areas with plenty of places to hang out, work, chill, okay. Room was not as clean as I would have liked. Bathroom mirror wasn't cleaned for instance. Also no fridge in the smaller rooms is a shame.

Clean and friendly, I imagine a little different. Now I finally know why the Dutch with their caravans prefer to have their own "hotel" with them.

Modern and well maintained. Also a youthful and metropolis style that comes from the staff. Also the breakfast buffet such as the restaurant "The Kitchen" in the house are acceptable. Rooms are kept simple and modern. Minus: missing shower curtains and small beds.

Lovely and bright hotel, not at all what I was expecting. I found the staff to be nice and helpful. We had a Queen Suite, very handy with kitchen area. Good tram service to Rotterdam Blaak and Rotterdam Centraal. On the whole I found this hotel to be good value for money and would certainly stay there again.

Nice staff at the reception and the bar as well as the breakfast area. Disappointing that they never cleaned my room within the 3 nights I stayed. It would be ok not to change the Linnen, but the bathroom as well as the carpet stayed entirely untouched. They didn't made the bed which I would expect at a hotel where u pay 58, 00 € per night. Otherwise absolutely quiet room. Very poor design. No décoration at all. Area good for nice bars and restaurants at walking distance.

Cheap place to stay right next to tram stop. Rooms are spacious with decent sized bed and air-conditioning (can't be said about other cheapest rooms at other locations).

Affordable and cosy place to stay with good Wi-Fi connection, a lot of amusement topics from billiards, table tennis, table football, darts to gym. Comfortable beds and good sound isolation. It's situated in the beautiful part of Rotterdam which makes it perfect place to stay.

Mindere service wat kleinere kamers.

I stayed here for a semester and it was one of the worst decisions I ever made. It is ridiculously expensive for what you get, you basically get a tiny hotel room for almost a thousand euros and you'd think the service is part of that ridiculous cost but service at the student hotel is one of the worst services I've ever encountered. Often times I've had a stoppage in water in the morning unannounced and the only answer I got from the reception is "there is nothing I can do about it". This is the kind of response I get when they unexpectedly stop providing one of the basic necessities. I also had issues with internet. For the entire semester, I had almost 1 bar of signal or no internet and the reception did nothing about it. Their website advertises the common area aggressively because it is the only nice thing about this place and in my opinion it is to cover up the worst part about this place which is everything else. I would not even give 1 star for this but there isn't an option below this grading.

We stayed in the Student Hostel for two days. We had the breakfast Buffet on the first morning and canceled it for the second morning, because it was the smallest Buffet I have ever seen. At the reception, the said it would be ok, but they still charged it for two days from my Visa. I wrote two Emails, but they ignored it.  

Ich war im The Student Hotel Rotterdam. Junges Publikum (logisch), sehr netter Empfang. Machte einen gut organisierten Eindruck. Sicher, sauber, ruhig. Saubere Zimmer, mit Küche (Suite), großes Bad. Essen und trinken fletch nebenan. 10 Minuten bis zum nächsten Supermark/Bioladen und 20 Minuten bis zum Erholungsgebiet Kralingse Plas wenn man gemütlich geht. Fahrrad ist aber im Preis enthalten. **** von mir.

A student hostel/hotel. But very nice for short stay too. You get all the amenities and facilities you need. Gym, restaurant, laundry room etc. And there are leisure areas and reading areas.

All of the staff are really nice and helpful. The rooms are very much like a dorm setup but better. There is also a good range of activities and food services. Overall, I wish I could stay longer.

Pretty good student accommodation that doubles as a hotel.

Public areas very wide and very original. Breakfast area very comfortable equipped. Receptionist friendly. Bikes OK. Organized to keep the luggage after leaving the room.

Me and my boyfriend will be kicked out during New Year's Eve! After he as a long term contract tenant has stayed here for almost a year. They clearly made mistake on the deadline of the contract while all rest of our classmates from Rotterdam Erasmus School have their deadline till at least mid January, they email us ON CHRISTMAS that we need to check out by 31st of December, what's worse is this so called contract is never issued in any form that state the deadline of the stay, they simply decide the check out time in their system. Never in their email saying anything about our SPECIAL check out date. We are about forced to pack and now we are looking short stay place for this time being while all the hotels are so expensive, we had a call with the manager emailed us yesterday, she helped us nothing and couldn't explained why there's difference between the contracts of ours and the of the rest classmates. If you want to stay in this place, all I can say is good luck, what's interesting is that they put a X'mas tree at the entrance for people to put wishing card, you see people writing complains like "working Wi-Fi" on the card hang on the X'mas tree. We will never stay in this hotel ever in our life!

The restaurant/café is very nice. The Wi-Fi is not always very good though.

A good place to stay, tram is right in front of the hotel. Rooms are clean.

Cozy, modern and young atmosphere. Highly recommended for stay in summer as an annual stay. The only downside is the price. But assures you a comfortable stay.

Excellent room and service at a very reasonable price. Bike rent only nine euros for 24 hours. Would definitely go again.
