The Rez Guesthouse

The rooms are very comfortable a well distributed. The bathrooms are of a good size. This whole hotel has a beautiful a detailed decoration and instantly makes you feel at home.
Breakfast is another highlight: the buffet is varied, and guests can also order hot dishes prepared on demand.
The entire team —whether at breakfast, housekeeping, maintenance, or security— are simply wonderful. Professional, attentive, and always with a smile, they make guests feel genuinely welcome.

Great Guesthouse with tasteful and very useful courtyard and sitting room / lounge. The rooms are spacious and — again — tastefully decorated with comfortable large beds.
The location is in a quiet safe upper-middle-class neighborhood of Walvis Bay, a short drive from the pier where we went out to eat twice.
Guarded parking during the night for our vehicle, which is a plus.
The owner is very welcoming and helpful.
Good breakfast included in the price.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay here! The rooms are spacious with large, comfy beds. The rooms were very clean with good quality towels and bedding. Nice hot shower with good pressure. The staff were all super friendly and Malani was super helpful and tried to make our stay extra special as it was our honeymoon. They also have a security guard monitoring the parking lot where our car was parked but at no point did we ever feel unsafe in the area. The breakfast was also decent and they had a wide selection of options. Overall I'd recommend this place!

I spent a night at The Rez Guesthouse, and it was absolutely lovely! It’s a beautiful spot right in the heart of Walvis Bay—stylish, super comfortable, and really well set up. The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Next time I’m in Walvis, I’ll definitely be staying there again!

Do not stay here. For starters the area is a shady part of Walvis bay. It’s far from the water and it has dogs barking often from neighbors.
The service is atrocious, unlike the rest of Namibia. We arrived tired and they couldn’t find our reservation and when they finally did they stalled us rather than showing our tired selves to our room.
The rooms smell like mold.
There are sooo many more options that are so much more charming all along the bay and for a much better price.
Stay clear of this place.
FYI the breakfast is menial.

We stayed there 24-28 Dec 2024, in the double room. The room and the guesthouse's decor and the bed are outstanding and of high quality. The service is excellent, and the 2 Hosts, Melani and Anel just go the extra mile to ensure that you are comfortable. It feels like your home away from home. The breakfast was delicious, and the bonus was the coffee machine that was available 24 hours.

Family owned and operated. Good location set back a few blocks from harbor but easy to find in quiet neighborhood. Nicely furnished rooms, extremely clean and safe and secure. Parking in front and night watchman on property. Full breakfast and nicely decorated common rooms. The waterfront area is very close and an easy drive to great restaurants.

Everything was really great, great location, price was low for the service, breakfast was superb and the decoration is really nice. Would recommend without hesitation.

We had a wonderful stay at The Rez Guesthouse.
The decor throughout the guesthouse is marvelous. The rooms were spacious and we slept soundly for the 3 nights.
Breakfast is amazing, with a variety of selection and we enjoyed the omelette each morning.
The staff were wonderful and friendly to converse.
The lagoon with the flamingos was a couple minutes away.

They had an excellent breakfast. The localisation was perfect, close from pélican point and Sandwich Harbour.

I was a bit skeptical on visiting Walvis Bay on my own for the business trip and wasn't sure where to stay.
I came across this GEM of a place in Walvis Bay! The lady at the guesthouse, Malani, were so welcoming and a superb hostess. Overall stay, rooms and breakfast were really amazing! Will definitely recommend them to anyone and will visit them again on my next business trip!

All the rooms are slightly different from each other and very cosy, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
The public areas are also a absolutely beautiful. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There is nothing more one could ask for.

This was a surprising oasis to us in Walvis Bay, which is not necessarily the most glamorous of places. The hotel is beautiful and very close to everything you'll need.

The Rez guesthouse is very cosy and comfortable. Perfect, central and quiet location. But the real value added is the team. Jade & team make our holiday just amazing and perfect. Without them, it would not been that fantastic.
