Lagoon Lodge

Lodge is ideally situated at the sea front and is offereing generous rooms. Breakfast is delicious and service very friendly. It's a true alternaitve if you are looking for an alternative to crowded Swakopmund.

We had a loely two night stay at Lagoon Lodge. The view over the lagoon is great and we enjoyed the drive to Pelican Point to see flamingoes along the way. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was good. The owner and her husband went out of the way to help us when we had tyre issues — above and beyond the call of duty.

We spend two days at the Lagoon Lodge. Beautiful located directly at the bay with Pelicans and Flamingo's. A safe place with a guard on duty. Owner was very kind and provided us with a bottle of Champaign and a upgrade to the honeymoon suite because of our 35th anniversary.

It is relatively small hotel, but we were happy with our stay of 4 nights. This place is almost in the middle of Walvis Bay, a perfect location to walk and watch flamingoes. The breakfast has relatively limited options, but it quite good.

When in Walvis we usually stay here. The location is nice. Breakfast good. Owner super sympathetic. Sure will return.

We stayed in the family room at this b&b place for a couple of nights but planned to stay longer.
Unfortunately the Walvis Bay area had no electricity (due to maintenance works by municipality) during our stay and the lodge had no any provision for emergencies whatsoever ie wind up battery operated lights or similar so we could not use nor see anything in the room, had no warm water and it was very cold. They have a couple of heaters in there but having no electricity they were no use for us.
The owner just said to use the phone lights but that was not possible either as they were out of battery by then.
The room we stayed was ok but I would not say it is for 2 adults and 2 kids for comfortable stay. There were 2 single beds pushed together and 1 small child bed and a settee which was too short for an adult to sleep in and being too close to the door — it was very cold.
The lady was saying it was all owned by Chinese not her now so her hands were tied. I don’t know if it was an excuse or indeed that was the case.
The location of the place is nice. You can see flamingoes feeding across the road in the water during morning hours.
The interior of the main house looks nice. And breakfast was ok. But overall quite expensive per night to stay there.
There aren’t any eateries nearby either if you are on foot.

The stay here was very pleasant, loved the furniture and art. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice and breakfast was great!
Best of all the sunshine filling the room and the location close to the Esplanade. (lagoon).

Everything was perfect for family rest, after travelling from the interior to the coast. Situation in front of lagoon, safe parking, garden, breakfast, African style decoration…

Very nice Lodge in an amazing location. Excellent service and very friendly personnel. If you are looking for a cosy place to stay and with a very interesting price then the Lagoon Loge is the place.

Close to the sea and activities — friendly and helpful staff.
Accomodation was comfortable and clean.

We have 2 rooms & enjoyed our 2 nights stay. Excellent location. Logoon is just infront of the lodge. Get to see lots of flamingos & other birds everyday. Good Breakfast too. Good seafood in the nearby restaurant. Highly recommended if you are in Walvis Bay.

We stayed 2 nights at Lagoon Lodge in Walvis Bay. The lodge is huge and the room was perfect, very clean, spacious and wonderful views of the waterfront. Our host Ilonka is very friendly and welcoming. She helped us book our day trip of kayaking with the seals and the sandwich harbour tour by jeep over the dunes. She has a wealth of knowledge in the area. Breakfast was good and plenty of variety. Highly recommended.

It's a lovely space right by the ocean which made my Christmas day very special. A lot of activities are available around in order to have a great time in Walvis Bay. I enjoyed the view and the simplicity of the lodge which gives a very warm and cosy feeling.

Don't let the pretty color fool you. The management had changed and with that customer service went out the door. The current management is flat out rude and it seems serving guests is a burden. Internet for our group was non existent on day one, but when we needed in on check out day, we were chased out of the lobby. Breakfast was ok, but if you want eggs (hot breakfast) then you get the look… overall not a great experience. However, it is right across the flamingos and the sunsets are beautiful ❤️

The young lady who runs this place is extremely friendly and welcoming. She really made the stay very pleasant. Breakfast is a lovely cold buffet, including a home made tart, with the option for hot eggs and bacon too. The room was very nice and immaculately clean and the shower was powerful and hot. Lovely view of the lagoon.
There seemed to be a pool which we weren’t told about and a large dog cam rover the the breakfast table one day but apart from these small things, it was great. I would stay there again.

One of the best hotel and accommodation services at the Namibian coast line, and also part of the integral history of Walvis Bay. Situated on the edge of the lagoon, it renders the most amazing views right outside your door step. Not to even mention the great service and helpfulness from the staff and owner.
