Omarunga Epupa-Falls Camp

Campsite definitely not the Gondwana standard we are used to. No privacy. Too many campsites squashed into the space available. Some could do with some form of shade. Bathrooms not sufficient if campsite is full. Almost all toilets are leaking or running through. Taps leaking. Showers with iffy water flow. The lights on movement switch (? ) are most anoying.
As with all Gondwana places lately you get the impression that walk-in customers are not welcome and checking in is a mission.
For a far lower price you get better campsites in Kaoko — not sure about Epupa, which is a dump.

Andrew was excellent in making a booking at a very late stage. He was helpful and great host. The camping was great. Gondwana should treasure employees like Andrew.

What a wonderful haven after a long hard drive. In sweltering heat, it is a perfect place to stop and take a break. The campsite is excellent the pool a welcome location in the heat. The staff are super friendly and courteous.
We booked dinner and it was fantastic.
The falls are merely a short walk from the camp and are well worth the effort. Easy enough to access and offers superb views.
This is a location to visit.

Highlights of our visit:
1. Clean and cosy rooms.
2. Friendly and welcoming staff.
3. The lodge is nestled in a secluded spot in the mountains, surrounded by beautiful nature scenery.
4. Breath taking hiking trails with spectacular views of the falls.
5. Delicious meals with friendly service. We enjoyed the springbok sirlion & top rated pizza's. Compliments to the chef.
6. Cold beer and a lovely swimming pool.

A hidden treasure. Incredible service from the staff. The attention to detail in a place that is so remote was unexpected. Campsites, lodges, restaurants — everything was so good.
One tip — take the opportunity to get laundry done here. The woman who is in charge of the laundry is the best!
Such a beautiful village full of untouched culture.

We chose this campsite as the lodge allows campers to make use of the swimming pool and bar.
We were given Campsite No. 2 right on the river just above the falls so you can hear falls which is lovely.
The swimming pool is wonderful and although not icy (yay for me) cold enough to cool off.
No free Wi-Fi for campers and you have to buy a coupon for N$100 for 500mb.
The shared ablutions are nicely set out and clean. The water pressure in the shower is sufficient but the water doesn't drain fast enough so had to move right out from under the water to not stand in a puddle.
We are going on a hike with Tom this afternoon and looking forward to learning about everything that happens along this beautiful river.
Lovely campsite, enough for us to stay here for 2 nights. Very peaceful and well maintained.
