This place is very beautiful as spacious… but it need a bit more to make it more beautiful and worthy of it's location… that's just my opinion.

Nice hotel, great rooms, cleanliness and good breakfast options as well.

The hotel is not in a great location and is very outdated. I normally stay at the Protea Furstrnhof which is excellent. Unfortunately it was full this time.

Friendly staff and really great food.

Breakfast was the high point of my day. Their elevator is still broken (or again). The rooms are tiny and not at all well maintained or serviced. Rather visit the Protea Fürstenhof a tiny bit further out of town. Kudos to the breakfast crew.

A bit of a decadent hotel in the middle of the city. Large rooms complete with all the comforts. Exquisite staff and available to any need.

Located in central windhoek. The hotel staff is very supportive.

Centrally located in town close to a police station. Lovely and polite service.

Rooms outdated, restaurant not great service and food.

Friendly staff. Had no problem changing from one room to another. Staff helped arrange my transport around town.

The staff is very kind and helpful. Please pay attention to the following: 1. The safe is unreachable. One has to climb up the chair to reach it. 2. The access card was deactivated every two days, which is inconvenient. 3. Please add variety to your breakfast menu. The scrambled eggs were overcooked for the duration of my stay.

Stayed here on a work trip so did not pay for accommodation out of my pocket nor did I have an idea of the cost before checking in. For a Protea Hotel I expected better. I was put in a room with two single beds, which was what was available at the time (I've never liked those). Room had no fridge, bathroom is a little crampy, elevator was out of order (not that I minded being the 2nd floor). The staff are friendly though (I think most Namibians are).

We paid alot and the rooms was small, we were in Namibia vir 2 weeks so we had alot of bags the lift did not work so we needed to carry the bags upstairs with no help.

Dated building in a dodgy part of town. No views from any dining or bar areas. Parking is problematic. All this and it is expensive as well.

This hotel is neglected and lacks maintenance. Staff not friendly and unprofessional. Falls behind on Protea standards by far.

Service was great, everything of anything just amazing.

This hotel does not provide drinking water to clients. There's no fridge in the room. The bathroom is so tiny. Elevator is out of order.

Hospitality is a foreign word to staff in restaurant. Accessing parking a big problem. Friendly helpful reception. Enjoyed a double room comfy beds.

Decent hotel. Easy to find and near many amenities.

Report on the stay at the Protea Hotel Thüringer Hof from 28.2013 29 10.
After 3 weeks tour, we wanted a relaxing week of 28 10. Treat 2013 04.11. With the help of Torist information in Windhoek, we booked the Protea Hotel Thueringehof. But the sense of a pleasant stay has settled quickly so we wanted a new hotel the next day and found (Rivendell). The reasons were:
A lamp was used, broken little things like a bed.
Major renovation with noise, dirt and paint smell.
Very loud water noise at night and noisy air conditioning from the adjoining rooms.
As a tip even a cockroach in the morning.
But after talk of these issues a cancellation fee instead of an apology was calculated by a further night. For this terrible stay, we paid the price of Hilton (2710. — N$ ~ 200 — €) for a Bach backpacker accommodation. This is treatment for us no bargain. Therefore never Protea hotel.
