The staff is really amazing, everybody just trys to make your stay as good as possible. We also loved the restaurant on the rooftop: You can have their breakfast in the morning as well as dinner in the evening. It's great for vegetarians and vegans ;)

This place is cheap and cheerful. No frills budget hotel, but Wai-Wai makes up for the lack of amenities with friendly and courteous service.
The restaurant on the roof was a god send. Extremely tasty food at a bargain price. I’d definitely go back.

Great Myanmar food (read: not too oily) on a lovely little rooftop. Caters to foreigners, so communication with staff is easy. Very good for vegetarians, a rarity with Myanmar menus. Bonus: you develop an appetite on the million stair approach.

This is a lovely house with friendly host and waitee. There a roof-top restaurant with delicious noodle. I feel like living in my country. Highly recommend this place for travellers who want to visit shwedagon pagoda, chinatown, inya lake, …

I came for restaurant located at the roof of this hotel. Find this restaurant from TripAdvisor but seems like just foreigners come to visit. I order the noodles but it taste a bit salty and oily. Could be improve more.

Love the rooftop restaurant and place to hang out,. Good for small groups too. This place has more of the community travelers feel of the old days.

Really nice place for me to stay when first arriving! The staff were really helpful directing me places & helping with luggage. The roof top is great & really nice food! I had a single private room with good Wi-Fi, air con & water pressure! All essentials! Thanks for having me!

Very nice place, rooftop restaurant is causy and very fresh food (it rare in Yangon). Go for tomato salad here.

Nice place to stay! The food was very good and the roof top bar is a great place to escape from the crowdy city. Everything was very clean. A lot of things in walking distance.

Clean, basic & simple budget accommodation. The staff mostly speak simple English but make up for it by being ultra friendly & helpful. But be prepared for a mini workout when having breakfast as there's no lift & you have to climb 5/6 flights of stairs. There's a also few privately operated gyms nearby (if you're into this) accessible for a small entrance fee (3000 Kyat per pax — as of 2017 Oct). Wai Wai's Place is conveniently located near a wet market where you can catch a glimpse of the local life. There's a slightly more "modern" shopping centre (Dagon Center) about 15 min walk away. Suggest you Google map your way as the streets can be confusing.

Great place to be first introduced to Myanmar culture and delicious Shan food. The sisters are overly helpful and hanging out on the rooftop terrace offers an escape from the bustling San Chaung area. Good location when you want to explore morning market and traditional Yangon neighbourhood.

Best place to stay in Yangon. Craveable food is served on the rooftop. Ahh. We miss Wai Wai and her amazing place!

So accommodating and friendly — allowed us to check in early on the morning of our stay and served us up a delicious breakfast the same day and the next morning. Always jumped to help carry our (heavy) bags, allowed us to store them after we had checked out and helped arrange taxis. Room was clean and comfortable too. The location was right in the midst of bustling streets with markets, 30 minute walk to Shwedagon Pagoda and a 30 minute taxi to downtown.

Great food at a fair price, with pleasant staff and quaint rooftop location. Wai Wai herself often frequents the premise and will warmly chat to you. Top place for visitors and locals alike.

Best Shan Noodles in Yangon, hands down. Cheap, friendly, great English.

Loved this little place. Very basic but very clean and has the personal touch. Love the roof top space and they serve decent food. It also has free Wi-Fi and nearby is a 24 hour convenience shop Great place to stay if travelling and they hang onto your luggage if you go off for a couple of days at no charge.

The 2nd time we've stayed at Wai Wai's. 5 well deserved stars again.

A small safe harbor. Very friendly and helping. Not the cheapest, not perfect, but driven by the gentle and strong Wai Wai this place is one of a kind. Shower is good, air con is good, rooms spacious. The only bad thing is the Wi-Fi which is kind of frustrating most of the times. Will come back.
