Riad Sable Chaud

Tucked away in a quiet part of the Medina this Riad is very clean and staffed by friendly and helpful local people. Don’t be put off by the location as you can easily reach the key sights of the medina and it’s just a few minutes walk from Bab Dukkala … a good meeting point for drivers to take you further afield or to the airport. The nearby alleyways are lit and safe with lovely, very polite kids playing football after school. A generous breakfast with a variety of fresh bread, orange juice, fruit and omelette. Prepared and served at your table in the courtyard. The house maid was an absolute star, so kind and very thorough. We loved her.

The Riad was very beautiful and traditional. Service was very friendly and helpful at everything. Rooms were squeaky clean and comfy with everything necessary, and the indoor yard was the prettiest piece of the whole acomodation experience. There was also a beautiful and large terrace, suitable for chilling and sunbathing. Services such as dry cleaning made us feel at home. Thank you very much!

We had a very nice stay in this riad, located in a quiet area of the medina about a 20 minute walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa. A six minute walk gets you to the Bab Doukkala gate, where you can get a taxi to anywhere in Marrakech. The Gueliz area of the city is also close if you just have to have something like McDonalds. Walking through the medina is easy — Google Maps never steered us wrong.
The area around the riad is quiet, with locals ready to help if you look like you need it. The riad staff is first-rate — friendly and ready to make your stay perfect. Hamid seemed to be always there to help, from late night to early morning, offering directions and carrying luggage. Excursions and meals are available, but these were just offered and never pressured. Communication in English takes a little time, but we had no problems asking and answering questions. The larger room we had was clean and cool, with excellent housekeeping services.
This is a nice, economical, quiet, and convenient place from which to base your exploration of Marrakech. The "old Marrakech" area could be considered a little too authentic by some, but inside is everything you need.

A beautiful, and beautifully run guest house in the middle of the oldest part of the city, the Medina. A fine, attentive staff, well-appointed and spacious rooms, and the bonus of excellent traditional foods served in house. Not to forget a magical deck atop. Could not have asked for better.

If you want to be in the middle of the medina, then this is perfect. The female staff is really helpful, not so much the males.

Fatima was the absolute highlight of this riad! She was so welcoming and friendly and made sure we enjoyed our breakfast everyday. We absolutely loved her. The center of the riad and the terrace was beautiful, the only downside were the rooms.
We were told on arrival that the room we booked over a month in advance was given to a larger party so we had to stay two nights in another room and then move to the second room on our last night. While the beds and common areas were fairly clean, the showers were very questionable. They gave more of a hostel shower vibe than a private room. The shower in the second room they moved us to even had an old pair of crocs sitting in there.
Overall, I don’t believe the price was worth what we received compared to the other riads we stayed in. They did offer excursions which could’ve made it worth it with the convenience but considering we were on the last leg of our trip, it didn’t help us much.

Our stay in Sable Chaud was so memorable. The help, friendliness and welcome that we recieved from Fatima, MoMo and the fabulous housekeeper made our stay in this beautiful city all the better. MoMo's help and patience was invaluble and Fatimas superb soups just have to be tried together with the local bread. The rooftop terrace was just so welcome to just sit and relax in. This Riad is perfect for a stay in the Medina, authentic, well situated and very relaxing. Highly reccomended — we'll be back.

We were met from our shuttle by Momo, the Riad Manager, he was very helpful in getting us to the Riad.
Our stay at Riad Sable Chaud was fantastic. All the staff worked tremendously throughout the day and went over and above to ensure we had a pleasant stay.

A genuine oasis in the Medina, the guest house was as impressive for its in-house cuisine as it was for the comfort of its rooms and great location. It is a well-run inn with real style, friendly staff, and considerable value. The rooftop is a bonus.

Want to have the best Moroccan experience with family, stay here. Absolutely amazing, Fatima made the most wonderful breakfast for us each day. All the staff went over and above and nothing was an issue. Stayed with family, 4 of us in the room. Clean, spacious and gives you the best Moroccan experience. Rooftop is an added bonus to relax. Amazing neighbourhood you will come back with lots of friends in Morocco. I am already planning the next trip and could not recommend it enough. Mum was always up for helping about exertions and dinner in the evening. Location is wonderful. Everything is so readily available So I have to get out and local market is open till early hours of the morning restaurants, restaurants, shops, and walking distance to all the immunities, Saida was very sweet and made sure we had everything in the rooms available without ever asking for it. Truly a wonderful experience in Morocco and staying here made it hundred times better.

A lovely Riad, very calm, clean and quiet. Staff were lovely and the last serving breakfast was delightful. It is a little harder to find so would recommend downloading a map or planning your route before you arrive.

I and my wife really enjoyed our stay at Riad Sable Chaud. I wanted to go for something more traditional than a hotel, and staying at this Riad was definitely what I wanted. The room was tidy when we arrived and the working assistant made sure it was kept spotless. The staff at the Riad were amazing, especially the sister who cleaned up the rooms. The breakfast and mint tea was a nice touch too, however, we did not eat lunch or dinner at the Riad so I cannot comment on that. The showers had hot water which was great. The location is good too, a 20-minute (ish) walk and you can get to Koutobia, Jemaa el Frna, Souks, etc.
