Absolutely exceptional hammam and massage experience at the riad – truly the best massage I’ve ever had (and I’ve had many! ).
We did the experience as a duo with my friend and it was perfect from start to finish.
It’s a real traditional Moroccan hammam, but in a very cosy and private setting. You have your own private hammam room, which is spotless, comfortable and beautifully maintained while keeping the authentic atmosphere.
The massage was simply wonderful. A huge thank you to Maria and Jamila, who were incredible – so kind, attentive and truly skilled. They listened carefully to our needs and adapted everything to make the experience perfect for us.
Relaxing, authentic and deeply rejuvenating. Highly recommended – one of the highlights of our stay.

Just stayed 5 nights at Riad Rafaele and throughly enjoyed it. We loved the location near the top end of the souk, we found the artisan shops here much more interesting. The team at Riad Rafaele were simply superb, literally nothing was too much trouble. Tea to welcome you back to the Riad at night, heaters if you were chilly at night, they checked you had water to go to bed with. It’s a peaceful oasis from the mayhem of Marrakech, smelt beautiful as soon as you walked in, rooms were very comfortable and the whole vibe was relaxed comfort. We will return.

The hospitality here was unbeatable — everyone here was super helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Ibrahim, Suleiman, and Ridhwan were a delight to deal with and made our stay memorable. The Riad itself is very nice and clean, and located at a great spot inside the Medina — perfect to just walk out and be in the heart of the markets and restaurants. Would 100% recommend staying here and I’ll definitely be back again!

If you’re looking for a place that feels truly personal — in a lovely, quiet part of the Medina but not lost in the chaos of the center — stop searching. Riad Rafaele & Spa strikes a perfect balance: it’s spacious enough to give you privacy and calm, yet small enough to feel intimate and familiar.
There are nine charming rooms and suites, a lush courtyard with a pool, and a rooftop terrace where breakfast feels like a little ritual of peace above the city. The on-site spa and hammam are another bonus — and the owners and staff are some of the kindest I’ve met.
I’ve stayed in many Riads across Morocco, and this one really stood out. It has that rare combination of authenticity, comfort, and heart. Highly recommended.

Beautiful riad, with wonderful attention to detail to make the stay really special. The rooms are excellent, comfy beds and again great attention to the same details. Having a kettle in the room was a real bonus enabling me to drop in the odd cup of English black tea in amongst the green tea with mint that Marrakesh. Ibrahim was very helpful and attentive — committed to ensuring our stay was perfect. We also had a hammam and massage during our stay. The cost was very competitive and the massage was first class. Would recommend this Riad for a stay of luxury.

We had an AmZing experience in Morocco and this wonderful Riad! The staff was unbeatable. Always helpful, always courteous and always made us feel so welcome. We used this Riad as our base as we did overnight trips to the desert and coast. Everytime we arrived back we were welcomed like family. Definitely one of the best hotel-type places I have ever stayed!

Our stay at Riad Rafaele & Spa was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by the hospitality, cleanliness, and stunning decor. The riad truly feels like a peaceful oasis tucked away in the souks — quiet, safe, and beautifully designed.
We stayed on the ground floor, and our room was both beautiful and serene. The attention to detail in the decor was incredible, and the washroom was modern and spotless while still keeping a traditional Moroccan charm with stone finishes.
A special thank you to Brahim and Souleymane, who went above and beyond throughout our stay. They were always available, friendly, and attentive — helping us with our luggage, keeping our water refilled, giving us helpful local tips, arranging taxis, and even walking us to meet them. Their kindness and hard work truly made our stay so much better.
We also had a photographer come to take pictures of my husband and me, and the staff were so accommodating — even serving tea to him while he waited for us.
Overall, everything about this riad exceeded our expectations. It’s a hidden gem that combines comfort, culture, and genuine Moroccan hospitality. We would highly recommend it and would love to return!

I visited the hammam and spa as recommended by my riad accommodation (The Central House). I received the Magic Agafay Hammam, Facial Care & Massage treatments. Booking the spa was very easy and the staff member was very communicative and pleasant over the phone and in person.
The hammam experience and massages by Maryam and Oumyma were very relaxing, calming and quiet. At one point I fell asleep during the massage. After the treatments, Soulaymane provided a lovely poolside tea service. All the staff are warm and welcoming which made for a delightful experience.

What can I say! From the first communication this place made us feel welcome! Our Spa day here was nothing short of heaven! Such a beautiful setting and such friendly, welcoming staff! Even walked us back to get a taxi!
Our treatments (hammam and massage) was one of the best I’ve ever had! Mariam and her sister are super skilled at what they do and we couldn’t have asked for better treatment! This is definitely our new happy place! Thank you so much!

Stunning riad run and designed by the very warm and talented Valerie & Thomas. Incredibly attentive team led by Eridouan. Everyone made us feel like part of the family. Lovely breakfasts served on the rooftop terrace. Super chic Moroccan decor. Perfect plunge pool to cool off in. Loved the hammam spa. Great location within the medina. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

My sister and I came for a five day break and what a wonderful experience it was. The Riad is gorgeous and the staff excellent. We were treated like royalty by Eridouan, for whom nothing was too much trouble. The room to book is the Executive Suite, arguably the biggest bedroom in Marrakech; pillars, two king-sized beds, pillars, a sitting room, large ensuite bathroom, and did I mention the pillars. We had spa treatments every day, fabulous. It's an intimate area just for you and the treatments are divine. We returned home with radiant new skin and totally relaxed.
The Riad is in the Medina, so only minutes from any souk and there are good restaurants within walking distance, for which the staff will book your table in advance.
My 12th time in Marrakech and I will definitely be returning to Riad Rafaele, as will many others.

Our visit to Riad Rafael’s Spa didn’t meet our expectations at all. To start, the entrance is down a dark alley that smells strongly of cat poo. It didn’t feel safe or welcoming. But once we entered, the courtyard was surprisingly beautiful and peaceful — like a small oasis in the middle of the city.
We had only booked the spa treatments, and unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. The whole spa operates in just two small rooms on the roof top. There are no lockers or safe places to store clothes or personal items — everyone’s things were kept in the same room, which felt very unorganized and insecure.
The hammam experience was especially underwhelming. The room was tiny, just made of cement — not what you’d expect for a spa. One young therapist handled both of us, and she didn’t seem very motivated and was very shy. She left us alone in the hammam room a few times for a while, and another staff member kept walking in and talking to her, which was distracting and not relaxing at all.
The strangest part was when the therapist poured water mixed with hair conditioner on our bodies at the end of the treatment. It felt weird and completely unnecessary. But even after that, there were more issues. My husband got a burn on his back from a mattress that was too hot.
Also, we had to ask for robes — they weren’t given to us unless we asked. And when we got them, they had no belts, so they didn’t even stay closed properly.
The massage afterward was the only good part.

We booked our hamman and massage through our Hostel, Central House, thanks to the recommendation from the front desk. It has been a highlight of our trip thus far. I feel like a new woman. Miriam and her sister (I forget her name) were so wonderful. It was so relaxing and the riad is absolutely beautiful.

We spent 4 nights at this beautiful Riad.
Very peaceful & in a great location at the top of the Medina which made exploring on foot very easy.
A lovely breakfast each morning of breads and eggs up on the roof top.
All the staff were friendly and so welcoming but I must call out Brahim, who gave us a very warm welcome, told us all there is to know on the local area and really looked after us during our stay & at breakfast.

We booked the duo couples hamman & massage and it was sheer bliss.
Once I overcame my inhibitions of being half naked, with just the provided disposable knickers on, it was amazing.
The hamman left our skin so soft and cleansed. The massage was so relaxing and included a facial. It was a wonderful treat after a couple of hectic days exploring the Medina. It ends with a delicious, refreshing mint tea.
Thank you Maryam & Oumyma for making us feel so special & giving us renewed glowing skin!

We had a great stay at Riad Rafaele! The riad is as beautiful as the pictures and it’s a nice escape from the business of Marrakech. It can be a bit difficult to find, but they did send someone to guide us and help with luggage. The music is a bit loud so it is a bit more of a livelier environment, so would keep that in mind. Breakfast on the roof is excellent with all of the essentials!

Absolutely the best! The most lovely people who are determined to make your stay safe and comfortable. Amazing Riad perfectly located and feels like an oase in the middle of alle the buzzzz. It was our first time in Marrakesh and we fell in love; We will return ♥️

An Oasis and exceptional attention to detail by staff. Rooms are lovely airy and clean. All the staff went out of their way to make our stay special and make us feel welcome. Nothing was a problem at all and they would go above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. Location is great for all the sights within the Medina Just beautiful.
