Riad Moonlight

I realize that many riads have smaller rooms compared to standard hotels, and don't mind snug spaces for a night or two. But we stayed here for 4 nights and the room itself was really tight. You had to close the door to be able to access the closet which was the only place to put things. A large suitcase would never fit in this room. Luckily we had smaller bags. The bathroom was a decent size and had a good shower with hot water when needed. The room was cleaned daily and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was fine (apart from the instant coffee) with a bit of variation the first two mornings. On the third morning (a Sunday), we had day-old bread and nothing extra — the bakeries in the area make fresh bread daily, so there is no excuse for this. We had to leave at 3am that night so had no 4th breakfast. The sunroof area is quite nice except the cushions do need a good cleaning, and my spouse liked the small pool in the main inner courtyard area. We were expected to have a large down payment (in cash) upon arrival, which was not anticipated as we had booked through an agency. No credit cards accepted, which was unexpected. Good location and fairly quiet. About 15 min. Walk to the Medina area.

Beautiful property in the Medina with lovely staff! The room was nice and clean and the breakfast was delicious. Rooftop terace was a nice place to hang around in the sun. The souks were a short walk away and there were a lot of nice restaurants close by as well.
We arrived around 3 AM because of a delayed flight and lost luggage but were greeted with warm hospitality by the staff we probably woke up by knocking on the door.
