Riad Eloise

Such a great riad. Located down winding lanes just 15 minutes walk away from the medina, this wonderful guest house is perfect. It is charming with very friendly staff, great rooms, a roof terrace and lovely breakfasts.
Ideally situated for exploring Marrakesh.

This place is very clean, the host are some of the most kind helping people we have ever had during a holiday. The room is cleaned daily. The breakfast which is included is so delicious and the real Moroccan taste. They all speak very well English and you are able to move freely 24/7. There several things to see and do inside the Riad including the pool and chill on the rooftop. Even the shower has hot water all the time which is not always very common everywhere. This experience was the best we had and highly recommend it.

The hotel was located in a very good place and it was about 5 minutes away from one of the entrances of the old bazaar. The inside of the hotel was really beautiful and designed in Moroccan style. And our room, called the Blue Room, was very beautiful and traditionally decorated, and it was big and comfortable. Youssef and his colleague Adel or abdol if I dont mistake his name were excellent and provided us with very good information as soon as we arrived at the hotel, and all the hotel staff were very reliable and kind, the breakfast was excellent and made with housewives in the kitchen, the rooms were arranged and cleaned every day, only the sound of praying very early in the morning was a bit annoying, but I don't think this was the hotel's problem.
Thank you so much for our good memories in morroco.
Thank you to you Alain🙌

The Riad is well appointed and near some lovely restaurants with incredible roof terraces. Alain, Abdul and Youseff were extremely helpful in ensuring we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed daily. Breakfast was tasty with a selection of breads, fruit, yoghurt and orange juice. We had a great experience. Thoroughly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in Riad Eloise. From the owner to all of the staff, they offer excellent service and care.
Abdel, Yousef, Latifah, Malika, and Zheur is always helpful and attentive to our daily needs. We enjoyed the traditional Moroccon breakfast. I loved the cool swim on the pool.
We felt safe in this Riad. The narrow pathways outside the Riad is very safe, adds the unforgettable Moroccan vibe and experience!
I would highly recommend to try and stay here!

The staff were fantastic. Great attitude. Helpful, and always available. They also were able to recommend places to go or eat. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy. Very central but still quiet. Walking distance to everything. Clean rooms and the bed was very comfortable. Great breakfast.

We had a great 6 night stay at Riad Eloise. The room was comfortable and offered a peaceful escape from the bustling souks, which was much appreciated after busy days out. Breakfast in the sunny courtyard was a highlight—we especially enjoyed the pancakes, cakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, and refreshing mint tea.
Yussuf was very welcoming and helpful throughout, assisting with taxis and sharing useful tips for navigating the medina, and Salah was just as accommodating towards the end of our stay.
The riad’s location was excellent—tucked away in a quiet alley yet close to the souks and key attractions. Many tours, like our trips to the Atlas Mountains and Agafay Desert, also picked up nearby at College Mohammed, just a 5-minute walk away.
Overall, Riad Eloise was a huge part of what made our trip enjoyable. I’d highly recommend it for its friendly staff, convenient location, and comfortable stay!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful traditional Moroccan riad. The service was excellent with friendly staff. The breakfast was all homemade (jams, bread, cakes and juices) and tasted delicious. Excellent location just outside the Medina and Alain the owner was very helpful and looked after us well and gave useful advice.

Beautifully decorated and clean. Bedding and towels and room tidied daily. We loved the little rooftop it was so chilled. Staff seemed really nice, but hard to understand our English (but this was everywhere in Morocco) There's a coach/mini bus/taxi area for pickup a 3 minute walk from Eloise too & taxis are so cheap. If you ask people for help with ANYTHING they expect to be payed. This is the only downside, the area, we got harassed and followed for money to and from getting away from that area, by a few kids but mostly adults, some very very rude! We never really have cash as we use our Monzo on holidays, but they didn't quite understand we have no cash and just continued to follow & ask but you get used to it in the end! It's good job I'm streetwise, and was with my boyfriend! It would be nice to have a key as we stood outside a few times waiting for doors to open but once inside this lovely Riad it's safe & gives a warm welcomed vibe. I would definitely return here.

We stayed here for a few nights.
We were impressed at first, but then, we found little animals: Cockroaches.
We found one in the morning and in the afternoon amother one, also the next day we found one.
Instead of apology and an offer on how to come up for it, the owner told us to not visit africa if we are afraid of animals.
Well, this is not what one expects to hear in a situation like this.
The situation would not be bad if they reacted better.
Furthermore, they are currently renovating the neighbourhood and.
This left the mornings noicy — We could not sleep in. This wpuld have been no problem if we would have been informed before completing the booking.
We loved the breakfast amd the staff was friendly.
The rooms are clean apart from the animals.
We would not come again.
Also, don’t dine there — It is very expensive compared to other places in the medina (but it was tasty. )
What left us unsatisfied was the reaction, instead of apologizing, they told us to not visit africa.
Also, weird wet smell in the floor and the yellow room that we stayed in.
The windows are too small to let fresh air in — and if you open them, they tell you that it is your fault that you have cockroaches.

We have just returned from 5 nights in Riad Eloise (with taxis to and from the airport arranged by Alain and the (reasonable) cost added to the final bill. ) We also arranged museum visits and day trips through the Riad which made things very straightforward.
The Riad is decorated beautifully and is spotlessly clean and it became our second home during our stay. Abdel made us very welcome (as Alain was away at first) and gave us recommendations of what to see and where to eat… and we had 2 dinners in the Riad after busy days of sightseeing. The cooking was superb with subtle spicing and, at 25 euros for a 3 course meal, very reasonable. The breakfasts on the balcony were delightful each day, with fresh Moroccan cakes and.
Pancakes, yogurt, fresh fruit and juice etc.
We really can't say enough to recommend the place. It absolutely MADE our holiday.
Thanks to ALL the staff who helped create such a calm oasis for all 4 of us amidst the wonderful bustle of Marrakech.

Small Riad, decorated in traditional style in the Medina. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Good Morrocan breakfast of fresh bread, pancakes, fruit yogurt fruit juice and coffee. The staff were fantastic particularly Abdel, who in charge for our stay. Extremely helpful and made all the arrangements we needed. Do use the Riad to arrange airport transfer, it was competively priced and without it the Riad like most addresses in the Medina would be very difficult to find the first time.

I hesitate to give Riad Eloise a great review — only because I don’t want it to be fully booked next time I want to visit!
Lovely traditional riad, with superb hosts. I felt like I was staying in their house as a guest rather than a paying customer,
Alain was so helpful on my arrival, showing me the best places to visit, good restaurants etc. Then throughout the stay I’d enjoy some banter with him.
The accommodation made the trip for me — thank you so much for your hospitality.

Tucked away in an alley at the north end of the Medina, Riad Eloise is a cozy, beautiful place to stay for a few days. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The owner Alain (a kind Belgian man fluent in English) gave us lots of tips with navigating the medina and haggling for goods. The food was excellent — the beef tajine we had here was our favorite tajine throughout our vacation in Morocco. There is an option to take a cooking class with the chef, which we weren’t able to do for lack of time. The pool, gardening, and rooftop terrace are excellent as well. There is also a house cat named Lula who is curious and gentle and loves to sleep. Only con is it’s a tight space, but great for travelers on a budget who want a high value Riad experience!

The riad has been lovingly restored to a charming and relaxing hideaway just outside the Medina. The staff are warm and welcoming without being obtrusive. The furnishings are lovely and so much attention has been paid to every detail of the riad. We had a double room (the yellow room) and my one complaint is the poor bathroom design. The door opens inward, and you have to step into the shower (over a 12” lip) to close the door to get around it to the toilet. At 2am, this is a challenge.

This is a charming little place with a great atmosphere. A husband and wife team made us feel at home as soon as we arrived after we had encountered a bit of a challenge earlier in the day. We felt safe and comfortable.
The rooms are small but have lots of character and were clean. Beds, very comfortable … and the food! Great flavours. They also sell beer and wine — which is sometimes hard to find in these boutique hotels.
The laundry service was same-day.
Electrical needs and adapter for Canada and US plugs.

The best service I have ever experienced in the hospitality industry. Alan is a wonderful host very knowledgeable about the area and has a wide range of recommendations for all types of travellers.
What I really enjoyed about my time here was.
1) After arriving we received amazing tips from Alan about the children in the area playing tricks on visitors, and how much a normal taxi ride should cost.
2) Wonderful recommendations on places to eat, and things to do. Over the years Alan has collected pamphlets and cards from places other guests recommend as well as personal recommendations.
3) The breakfast was refreshing, and hand made every morning.
4) The attention to detail and cleanliness of the room was 🤯. Each day any clothes laying around were folded and tidy. I think they even washed some.
Some things to note,
Sometimes the kids outside were loud, not really the fault of the Riad but it could also be due to the timing of the visit. Same with the 4am prayers.
The location is on the edge of the market, so plan your trip accordingly or use the tips from Alan and take a taxi to get to the other side of town.
Wifi in the room is touchy This isn't very important to me but something I thought I should call out that can be improved.
Overall I will absolutely stay here again on my next visit.
