Riad Dama & Spa

Perfect location, inside the Medina but with easy car access. The rooms are comfortable, with hot showers and air conditioning. The breakfast is generous and served on a lovely rooftop. There is also a jacuzzi available and a hammam that is definitely worth trying.
What is truly exceptional about this riad, however, is the staff — especially the manager, who went above and beyond to help us whenever we needed, even when it had nothing to do with our stay.

Very cool traditional building. Staff were all lovely and accommodating and the breakfast included is amazing. Its location is ideal for walking around central Marrakesh. It is a pain to get taxi’s to however and locating it for the first time was a challenge (might have been a skill issue). Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the old city.

The staff and the owner are very friendly, the rooms are typical and very clean.
The hammam and massage are a wonderful experience for the relax.
The food is very very good.

We went on a girls trip to Marrakech and Riad Dama & Spa was an amazing safe haven for us. It was peaceful, authentic and clean. Mohammed was also an amazing host! Very positive and kind. We have laughed like never before and would love to come back.

We had an absolutely magical stay at Riad Dama and Spa. Stepping inside from the busy streets is like entering a true sanctuary. The traditional architecture and the central courtyard pool are simply stunning.
​Our room, the Casablanca, was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and spotless—the perfect place to retreat to after a day of exploring.
​What truly sets this Riad apart is the staff. They were all exceptional—warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. They helped us organize transfers and gave us brilliant tips for navigating the Medina.
Would highly recommend this place for any first time visitors of Marakesh, the Riad felt like a nice retreat from the busy parts of Marakesh.

There's a lot to like about this guest house, it's an attractive and relaxing place and overall we enjoyed our stay. However, the website overstates the level of quality and facilities offered, and as a result we left the hotel/guest house feeling a bit disappointed. We paid 660 euros for a double en-suite room for 6 nights, and although it's close to the centre of the Medina in Marrakesh, I don't think the facilities offer great value for money.
For example — the website offers a "private, indoor swimming pool', but in reality this is a small hot tub, somewhat inconveniently located in the reception area next to the kitchen. The 'Spa and Massage centre' is 2 small, dark and windowless rooms, which do not suggest a relaxing and comfortable experience. The photographs shown on the website are definitely not the actual rooms available. The "exceptional" breakfast (served on the roof terrace) is adequate, but repetitive and without much variety, basically offering bread or pancakes with jam or triangles of processed cheese. Sometimes yoghurt is provided, sometimes fruit, but this wasn't provided every day. Coffee is available, in a large thermos, but this doesn't maintain the temperature or flavour very well.

Fantastic hospitality. Riad Dama & Spa is a cool, quiet retreat from the crazy streets of Marrakesh. Ideally located. The team are all super friendly and helpful. Loved our stay there.

The breakfast was fresh made and really good! Rooms very clean and everyday new towels and bed sheets.
Hammam & Massage was good! The riad was our 'save space' to come to after a busy warm day.

From the moment we arrived, Riad Dama & Spa felt like a peaceful retreat in the middle of the city’s vibrant energy.
The location is spot-on—tucked away just enough for quiet, but still walking distance to the medina, souks, and key attractions.
The staff? Absolutely wonderful. Warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed—be it directions, spa bookings, or a fresh mint tea.
Rooms were clean, charmingly decorated, and gave that authentic Moroccan vibe. The courtyard and rooftop terrace added the perfect touch of calm after a day out exploring.
Location: Central yet peaceful.
Cleanliness: Excellent.
Service: Friendly, attentive, and genuine.
Highly recommended—especially if you’re looking for a riad that blends charm, comfort, and warm hospitality.

Pathetic experience! We were a group of 5, including my elderly father with arthritis. The room we got had a spiral staircase with the only bathroom upstairs, making it impossible for him to access it comfortably. Despite acknowledging the issue, Mohammed promised a refund within 48 hours after we left for a hotel — but we never received it, and he stopped answering calls.
The breakfast was horrible, the staff seemed suspicious, and the rooms desperately need an upgrade — our tap didn’t work and the mattresses were very uncomfortable. What looks nice in photos turned out to be a stressful and disappointing stay. I would never recommend this place. See the size of room. Toilet door was not working, it was a sliding door which was jammed.

I DO NOT recommend this Riad if you are 4 or 5 people. We were five persons and they offered a room that was connected to a second floor room and toilet through a tiny metal stair… to access toilet in the night, we had to almost wake up so that we do not fall from the stairs. They allocate rooms based on availability and you can expect this room to be yours without making the structure clear. Staff was suspicious. He also charges us 25EUr for a cab for 1.5 kilometers. We only got to know later after realizing the local prices and what to pay.

A truly wonderful stay. The Riad is a short 10 minute walk to the main square, a walk which takes in all the sights and sounds of Marrakesh. The Riad was spotless, service was excellent and very attentive.

Booked this place as I wanted to experience something different rather than standard hotels. The place looks tired, it’s not clean at all, there is no light in the bathroom, bugs in the room, they also have a cat onsite which we found hiding in our room.
Breakfast — no comment. Breakfast served outside which would be okay in the summer. We travelled in January and it was absolutely freezing.
You get served a pancake/crepe, pastry and jam.
Also, the area is not the safest but a good location, walking distance to most attractions or the meet up point for excursions.

Beautiful Riad 10 minutes from the medina / square.
The location — tucked away down a small street 2 mins walk from the taxi, we were met by Mohad, helped with bags then served us water, mimt tea and showed us the main places on a map.
Our room — traditional, comfy, some noise from the mosque and call to prayer, good shower, cleaned daily.
Food — in the riad, breakfast prepared and cooked by Latina was gorgeous and plentiful.
The staff — all fantastic! Mohad, Ishmael, Latifa and Mohammed they are the best asset of the riad, they couldn’t do enough to help us.
After returning from a full day tour Mohammed provided mint tea by the open fire — perfect!

Excellent experience as solo traveler, very friendly staff. Best massage I had in Marrakesh (highly recommended to book the Deluxe service including hammam). Vibes and location are great. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, quaint riad in the heart of the Medina in Marrakesh! Our hosts were excellent, friendly and helpful with our bags. The breakfast was simple but delicious with bread, jams, cheese, coffee and fresh fruit! Room and bathroom were clean and the shower is excellent.
The AC was working fine but be mindful it can get hot in the room during the summer months!
We booked a last minute deal and would highly recommend for your next stay especially if you’re on a budget!

A beautiful riad in the heart of the medina in Marrakech! The hosts Jamal and Lahcen are amazing. They made our stay very special with their warm smiles, fun conversations and the best mint tea! They helped us with everything — from recommendations to bookings. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Marrakech.
