Riad Challa Hotel & Spa

While the riad itself is nice, the staff are what made the stay excellent!
The reception staff was always so friendly and helpful and were always willing to answer any questions we had. I went to the reception to ask for local music recommendations (a travel habit of mine) on two different days, and both times their responses were great; first I was recommended a band that the receptionist has a personal connection to, and the second time I recieved a long list of both traditional and modern music! It was really comforting to feel like I could turn to the reception for any reason and be met with a genuine response. I especially want to thank Farid for being very kind and patient with me during my occasional moments of panic due to my family missing their flight, which led to me being on my own at with a card that I somehow managed to lock on my first day.
The riad is lovely and is comfortably located in the medina with it being a short walk to many of the sights and places to visit, without being in the middle of the noise. If visiting in winter, make sure to pack some warm clothes to sleep in as the rooms get fairly cold. There is an AC that can blow warm air, but if you're like me and don't do well with humidity, you'll want to air out the room after showers and then it gets cold again (I'm not used to ACs so this might actually just be a skill issue on my part).

The Riad was kind of oke if you’re staying for a short time.
The room was good, nothing special. The downside of the room was that you could hear everything. I think all the rooms are like that. For those that want a window in their room: I don’t think the this Riad has windows in their room. But you can contact them about it.
Can’t comment on the breakfast, since I didn’t eat it.
The service from the staff were pretty good and helpful.

We stayed one night at Riad Challa and absolutely loved it.
The breakfast was really good (even though we had to rush through it), and the whole place had such a pleasant atmosphere. We even got a complimentary 15-minute massage, which was a lovely surprise.
A special shout-out to Hafsa at the front desk, who made our stay even better with her kindness and hospitality.

Stayed for two nights. The first room was tiny, smelled very bad, no fresh air, bathroom full of mold. Couldn't sleep in it for a second day so we asked for a room change. Staff was very friendly and gave us a new room without any hesitation. New room smelled better but still quite small and bathroom had mold. All in all the house is quite old and noisy. Breakfast was mediocre.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the staff were fantastic. It is pretty much next to Jama El Fnaa. The breakfast was good without being exceptional. This is a good option if you want somewhere nice to stay without being too flash. And another thumbs up for the staff.

So quite at night just as you want it.
The staff member named Amine is the most wonderful professional polite hotel member ive ever met. So so helpful and he made my stay so amazing. He also answered all of my question and I ask alot trust me with so much patience and he's so knowledgeable on the local area IE where to eat and where to buy certain item's. He is a complete gentleman and an asset to this Riad.
I will book again due to Amines kindness.
Also the food was wonderful and they offer a spa experience.

Nice clean Riad, right next to Jamaa el fna.
The rooms are spacious, with AC, there is a small swimming pool in the center.
The rooms are clean. But the best thing about this riad is the staff. The House keeping are amazing and very friendly.
And the Reception staff are very friendly. One of the reasons I will come back to this Riad.

I do not understand the bad reviews! The staff were so so welcoming, we booked a twin room accidentally and the lovely girl at the desk changed it for us, there was a beautiful terrace for breakfast, perfect location, the rooms were beautiful, and the hotel itself is so gorgeous.
The staff made our stay at Riad Challa, from the staff at the desk to the cleaners they were all amazing, they were so kind, helpful and welcoming. I never got the girls name that helped us the most as she wasn’t on the desk when we were leaving but she was a credit to herself, lovely girl.
We’ll definitely be back to Riad Challa:)

What a beautiful place to stay. Walking distance from the Medina and the Souk. Breakfast on the rooftop was magical and the pool was so welcoming at the end of the day. Staff so helpful and friendly.

Aside from the picturesque courtyard, this was by far the worst riad I stayed at during my 8-day trip. I only stayed one night, and that was more than enough. The bedsheets were covered in hair, and the bathroom shower was infested with black mold — a serious health hazard. The toilet resembled something from a neglected public restroom. This level of filth is completely unacceptable. If you value cleanliness and comfort, I strongly advise against staying here.

The riad is absolutely gorgeous! We are just back from a girls trip and we absolutely enjoyed our stay! When you walk in you are greeted with the amazing architecture! I’m here to set the bad reviews straight as we absolutely loved it. It was such an authentic experience. Sure, as the riad is old doors can be creaky and you may hear some noise but this is the same for old riads in Marrakech. The location is perfect, 4 min walk to Dardar, 5 min walk to the medina, 8 min walk toLe Jardin, 10 min walk to Ben Youssef and 12 min walk to El Badi. Everything was in perfect walking distance so we walked everywhere! You are also just right next to Nobu, and as soon as you walk out the alleyway, you are straight to some souls and shops if you feel like a late night shopping and it’s perfectly safe! My only regret is not trying the hammam and spa as we had a busy itinerary but overall cannot fault this riad. The rooftop is gorgeous for a morning coffee! The staff truly made our stay extra special. On my last day I was feeling unwell, I had drank too much coffee and suffered a panic attack, the staff really took good care of me and calmed me down. Our room was cleaned everyday to perfection by the housekeepers. I really want to thank the 2 guys at reception and the amazing housekeepers who really made our stay exceptional. Our shower pressure was okay with hot water, aircon was cool so I really do not understand the bad reviews! We would definitely go back!

My family had so much fun and felt vey relaxeda and safe at this hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Did not have a single problem with AC, water or anything during our stay. The shower had hot water and good pressure. Definitely recommending to all my friends. And for those who like having selfies, this hotel is the perfect place to have those post worthy photos taken.

This is my all time favorite place to visit in Marrakech, not only for its unique style but also for its amazing staff. They're always warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Can't wait to go back again with my family (for the third time! )

We stayed for a few days at this little jewel. We organised pick up via hotel & were taken right into the centre where our host met us & took us to the riad. Set only minutes away from the centre square in the medina location was perfect. Set around a small pool (really nice — better than the pictures) rooms all looked down onto the pool. Rooms were clean, serviced daily & had TV, hairdryer, towels & lots of hot water etc. Some minor signs of age but absolutely clean.
Our host Ferit was great — extremely friendly and helpful (sorry if I spelled it wrong).
Breakfast was included and was a buffet — I'd heard mixed reviews but was delighted it was good. A choice off cold cheeses/ meats, pastries and some hot* food eg eggs, sausage, potatoes, pasta. There were also yogurts and occasionally fruit as well and coffee/ hot chocolate, fruit juice. * the hot food was warm / could be hotter. Overall great — open 7-10am.
There is a spa in the Riad & it offers a lot of different types of massage etc — best experience of our trip — real treat!
Ask about different excursions — the Riad can organise for you.

Staff are more than helpful and very friendly, they have an excellent massage service which is very reasonably priced!
It's right next to the market which we thought would be noisy but you can't hear a thing, only thing you can hear is water being pumped into the pool but I found it relaxing.
The outdoor/indoor pool is a great addition, it's very cool which is a definite necessity when it's 36 degrees!
Highly recommend.

We had a short stay at the Riad, but still enjoyed our time. The hosts (Ferit, Hafza and amine) are extremely nice, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was fine. The rooms were not that great, but overall the host made it a great stay. Unfortunately we had to cut or trip short.

The staff is really very welcoming, the services and staff of the spa are really nice … we had a great stay I recommend the riad.
