Riad Celia

Everything was absolutely incredible. A typical riad right in the heart of the Medina. The location is fantastic, the decor is authentic and carefully curated, the rooftop is wonderful, and the rooms were spotless and equipped with air conditioning.
A special thank you to our host Mourad, who made sure we had a great stay – he was always helpful and available. The entire staff was extremely kind and attentive. We 100% recommend this place!

Murad was an amazing host. Even though we came late for breakfast he made sure we would have food. He was always very kind! and the rooms were always clean :) would recommend.

I only stayed here one night, and wished I was able to stay longer. The Riad is situated close to Jemaa el fna in the Medina. It is furnished in typical Moroccan style and extremely clean and fresh looking. I loved my room, which looked out onto a courtyard. The bed was lovely and firm and the bathroom had a lovely hot shower. Everywhere was very clean. Unfortunately I wasn't able to have breakfast as I had to leave early for the airport. I would highly recommend this riad, having travelled to Morocco 11 times. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great for travellers on a budget, who want value for money.

I booked this Riad based on a few reviews and WOW! Absolutely beautiful. The room I was in (14 I think it was) was absolutely stunning and the most comfortable bed. The accommodation included dinner and this was honestly my favourite meal of all of my travels. Home cooked with love and all 3 courses were amazing. The staff couldn't help you enough. Such a brilliant location in the Medina. Highly recommend Riad Celia.

Perfect location, in the middle of the Medina.
10min or less walking to the Jemaa el-Fnaa.
Amazing food, I had dinner and breakfast, and all very good.
All the space in the Riad is so cozy, very welcoming. Such a nice place.
Last but not least, the staff are the best, I have no words, for the most amazing guys I ever met at a trip. 3 awesome guys, always at our disposal, always taking care of our needs.

This Riad is not honest. I booked a room that was advertised as non-refundable, but flexible to change if needed. When I asked to change my 5 night reservation to a few weeks earlier, they said that was not possible (even though they had plenty of availability). They told me they had made a mistake and I booked a rate that should not have been such a good deal. They wanted me to cancel and rebook the reservation, which would have been twice as expensive as the rate I had booked! They would not resolve this, even blaming me and booking. Com for the mistake. I spent hours trying to resolve this on the phone and email with booking and with this riad. In the end, booking cancelled the reservation for me. I am a business owner myself, and there are times when, if you make a mistake, you still have to take care of your clients. I am very disappointed by how Riad Celia handled their mistakes with a lack of integrity and care.

Super friendly and helpful staff. The Riad is very clean and our room at the top, next to the rooftop terrace was quite charming. Breakfast was varied with fres orange juice, breads and eggs you can order to taste. We had a complimentary dinner that was simple but quite lovely. Excellent all round.

Excellent location with attentive staff. Small but clean room with a good shower. Attractive roof terrace with lovely views of sunset. Great orange juice in the breakfast included. We had a bit of an issue finding it as we were struggling with Wi-Fi. So we would have booked airport transfer if we had known. Lots of restaurants nearby and especially enjoyed the coffee at the rooftop terrace at Mandalay Society opposite. Thanks Omar, Mohammed, for your kindness and sense of humour. I have missed one member of staff — sorry I didn’t note your name properly.

Really amazing value for money. Khalid and Omar were amazing. They catered so kindly to our every need.
The massive downside was unfortunately the double room which was in fact two single beds pushed together. This was really annoying as they kept separating and they weren't the same height.

Location. Walking distance to great restaurants, shops, and attractions.
— The staff. Mohammed and Omar did everything they could to make our stay more comfortable, including moving several members of the group into larger rooms. They can also assist with booking excursions (such as hot air balloon rides) and airport shuttles.
— The free breakfast is delicious with a lot of food options.
— The rooms are all different sizes and decorated differently. While some are on the smaller size, they’re all comfortable and clean. Mattresses are very firm if you like that.
— Gorgeous rooftop patio. You can catch an amazing sunrise.

Last minutes booked (via booking app following great reviews) for two nights.
Service was good and communication was great. (Very) late check-in was fine.
Riad is nicely decorated with pool and rooftop offering chilling places.
Room was a bit of a let down being top floor with no windows. Still as we mostly slept here, it was ok for (very short stay).
I would still recommend the lower floor rooms.
Breakfast was good and a treat to eat next to pool.
Very king service throughout our stay.
Location is dead centre and great but it does mean noise level from street is high.
Over all it was a good experience.

Riad was ok. Bed could have been more comfortable but room was clean and adequately sized. The doors to the room seemed a bit easy to get into if someone wanted but luckily they kept the outside door locked. The place could use some maintenance and updating. Customer service was good with one of the guys being so funny with his jokes and smile. This was best part of Marrakech because out in the tour everyone else tries to take advantage.

We spent a month in Marrakech and loved every moment of our stay at Riad Celia. Radouane and Kawtar (the owners) along with Abdullah and the other staff members should have their photos under ‘Hospitality’ in the dictionary. From the moment we arrived with a driver from Essaouira, we were welcome. Always welcome. Radouane came to the close by parking spot, arranged a porter and escorted us the very short walk to the riad. We enjoyed Kawtar’s excellent cooking every single night — she is an absolute legend in the kitchen and her tagines, tangia, salads, chicken schnitzel are all — to die for! The breakfast was generous and gives an excellent sampler of local bread types along with fruit, preserves, honey, cheese, yoghurt and olives and of course — freshly squeezed orange juice. The riad itself is an oasis of calm and the pool is divine. The ultimate cooling device in the heat of summer — crystal clear, deep — beautiful. The riad is spotlessly clean and the housekeeping staff do an excellent job — all day, every day. Beds were comfortable, linens were spotless, Wi-Fi is now mind blowing. There was an issue with the Wi-Fi at the beginning of the stay due to extensive work that was happening outside — but it was fixed and improved out of sight within a couple of days. Truly, we were welcome.
