Riad Anyssates

We had a very pleasant stay at the riad. The staff are very helpful. It is very well positioned being close to the edge of the Medina wall and so not far from the new part of the city. I would call it a ‘boutique’ riad well furnished with comfortable rooms. The road is alcohol free in the ‘public’ areas and if you want to have alcohol in your room the manager requests that you provide a receipt for your purchase to enable him to prove that it was not purchased in the riad. There are plenty of places to relax and on the roof there are places to sit with sun beds and a jacouzi. The road also offers the opportunity for a massage and a hammam.
We went on a balloon trip (highly recommended) and had to meet at a place that, to us, was not easy to locate. At 06:20 in the morning the night manager kindly escorted us to the right spot. Superb.

1Location; bad location on the edge of the old town you have to walk 20 min to the atractions.
Breakfast; bad simple from supermarket bought butter and tringle cheese. Old bread, mostly burned, the only good thing was the fresh orange juice and that is everywhere in marrakesh.
Hamam; they said the Hamam was not functional during our stay.
Parking; misleading information. On their page on booking. Com and Agoda. Com they mention having a park. There is no possibility for parking in medina. When I sent the screenshot to the manager he said oh that is old information. The manager send me a location which was 20 minute walking from them.
Atmosphere; bad. The building is bought by a french lady and renewed in a western style. So if you want to see a traditional or atmosphere of a RIAD then forget it here. And you should forget this one it looks like a fake (cartoon) riad. This could be nice if the building is in europ but here is bad.
We have seen several restaurants and hamams run also by french owners like diar al ksr and they have left the atmosphere in marrocan style.
Maintenance; poorly maintained. Electrical points do not work, terrace upstairs deserted nobody comes to serve anything. Dead plants at the entrance and terrace. Lights that need to be changed, torn down cieling. The beautiful picture on their website of the marrocan happy people I did not see, only one of them is still there rest are deserted I think.

This Riad is 20 minute walk from the square. Located in an area where it seems a lot of locals live, felt very safe and a nice place to be.
The riad is advertised as having a bar and previous reviews mentioned being able to get a beer, however this is not the case.
The bar was closed and the rooftop was having work done, which wasn’t mentioned. Our shower was broken and we had to get the smoke alarm removed at midnight as it wasn’t working properly.
The riad didn’t have any atmosphere felt very empty. We were requested to settle out 9 euro bill the night before (received texts whilst out for the evening, which was a bit bad) and when we returned they asked us for 20 euro to go to airport, which was a rip off as we stepped out walked a few steps and jumped straight in a taxi for 10 euro.
Wasn’t a great stay, much better Riads locally for less. The bar and hot tub on the roof made this one appeal, but were let down on both accounts.

Exceptional service and ambiance! Nicholas and his staff were beyond welcoming, friendly and helpful. The decor is magical. There is an auspicious breeze that rustles through the 20 foot, flowering bush that lives in the courtyard. Beneath it you can spend your mid day cooling off in the pool. Our room was super cozy and chic. Every aspect of this Riad is thoughtfully selected, to create a mood and experience that is both luxurious and quintessentially Moroccan. On the rooftop patio, where we dined for breakfast and had some of best tanjines for dinner, you will meet a mama cat and her tag along kittens we affectionately named Ira, Kyla and Kevin. Although, some guests did not like these strays, we found them to be the most charming and mischievous crew, we met in Morocco. Although we had to proceed with caution, we found them to be gentle and appreciative of anything we could offer. Please be kind and take care of these little beings🙏 The location is.
Slightly out of the most touristy areas but once you find your bearings you are good, and Nicolas is extremely proactive and responsive before and during your stay to ensure you settle in nicely.

Nice, relaxing atmosphere in a very clean and Nice ryad.
The Roof terrace with bar and hot tub also works really Well.
The breakfast in the roof terrace also was really Nice with frugt youghurt coffee and juice was very good.

Fantastic stay, amazing staff lovely rooms extremely clean with the rooftop being the added bonus for us, jacuzzi with different options for lazing around, Highly recommended. Short walk to most things & only 15 minutes to the airport. Over all 10/10 experience for me and my Gf.

An amazing, clean and calm Riad, with very friendly staff. We stayed as a big group, and it was amazing. All the rooms were large and clean, with everything you needed. They organised a party for us, and it was beautiful, with amazing food! Everyone loved their spa/massage too!
Would definitely visit again!

We had such a fantastic stay here, really loved it.
Jawad was great from day 1, he welcomed us (many hours late due to flight redirections to a different airport! ) with mint tea and biscuits and gave us a quick and informative welcome talk. We were in room bombau, not sure of the spelling. It was perfect. Nice and quite, never disturbed and fantastic air con! The food in the hotel is lovely, breakfast, dinner and snacks.
Riad has a very relaxed, easy going feel. Everyone is chilled out and friendly. We are a quiet couple who keep ourselves to our selves and dislike overbearing staff who want to engage a lot. The staff are a perfect balance. They say hello how are you and occasionally ask what your plans are, how was your day. In general your left to mill around and enjoy the pool or jacuzzi or what ever you fancy. One nice touch is, if your sat reading or floating in the pool they will come with some fresh melon which is great.
Nicholas and all the women really made us feel welcome and at home so thank you.
Jawad was always available for advice and told us to ignore some of the things locals asked us on the street which put my mind at ease.
It's is spotless, someone is always cleaning something so you know the riad not only looks chic and modern it is maintained to a high standard.
We also relied on the hotel app for dinner suggestions and local places of interests. I have never stayed in a hotel with an app like this. It was a great tool and much appreciated.

A brilliant, friendly and french family run riad. Nicolas was always happy to help, the staff were lovely. Rooms were excellent — well decorated, all facilities and air/con.
The rooftop bar is a great spot for breakfast and later for evening drinks!
The small pool is ideal for cooling down after a day in the hot sun!

We absolutely loved our stay here, me and my friend came for a few days to see what Marrakech had to offer, this was the perfect base for that, the staff members were friendly and welcoming and attended to all our requests, including helping book day trips or transport to/from the airport! I would highly recommend staying here if you’re in the city. The only small negatives would be the pool is very cold and depending on your needs for breakfast it may not for your liking as there isn’t anything warm.

Amazing stay. Will definitely be going back. All staff were so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much for them.
It was so clean. The breakfast was lovely. The food the hotel serves was also delicious. Hot tub on the terrace is a great addition. Karaoke if you fancy it and the staff get involved too! (Jawad and Hassan you have great voices! ) Great place to base yourself in Marrakech. I still can’t get over how perfect it was. Thank you Nicolas and the whole Anyssates team! We will see you again!

Beautiful quiet place very well located! Staff and owner to the little care.
Everything was top 🥰🥰very very well maintained and very clean… Rich breakfast and excellent dinner.
