Riad Amina

Excellent value for money for a traditional Moroccan experience. Staff are very very friendly, contrary to some of the reviews here! We believe respect is returned if you are nice to people!
Short walk to the main square through the souks which is a great experience!
Not in relation to the hotel but when walking back late at night people may try tell you the main gates are closed, which they are not — just keep walking!
Pool and rooftop are great and quiet so you can have a nice relax!
We would recommend this to anyone who wants a real Marrakesh feel! If you don’t want to experience a proper Moroccan vibe, book a basic all inclusive hotel and stay there!
Me and my partner adored every part of this stay and enjoyed getting to know the staff and their culture which is what travelling is all about!

The riad was good. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. This Riad has two building. Pictures shown in website or any other hotel bookings are for main building. Unfortunately we were in next building which is okie but it is little dark so the room was dark too. I had difficulties to get in touch with staff members before I reached to Riad but it was okie since I did manage to check in early. There was one day which Wifi was not workinf at all. Souk market is nearby with 10mins away. Bus and taxi are not accessiable near this Riad but you can access it within 10mins distance. Overall the trip was nice and enjoyable.

Top quality hotel in the old district of Marrakech. The building is old and historic which we loved. It also means things like poor sound proofing and cold rooms in winter. But the staff were amazing, tea whenever we needed and very helpful. Expensive, but you do get the service and experience you expect.

Terrible experience here. We did not stay at this Riad but only had dinner here. We were welcomed without a reservation, however it took 1hr. 45min to get bread on the table. We finished our wine before any food came out and our little 7 year old niece was starving by that point. After we received SOME of the food we ordered (only the main dishes came out) none of the appetizers, we decided to just finish our meal and pay. We asked for the check and upon waiting another 15min. My husband just got up to go to pay directly in the office. Here is where it gets really bad. They charged us for a tabouhle salad that we did not order. When it came out to the table I asked what was that because we hadn’t ordered it and our server said it was with the falafel (which we never ended up getting) we ate the tabouhle because we were starving. When we disputed the charge the manager started yelling at us and insulting us and saying we were horrible people. Then he almost got in a physical altercation with my husband and had to get held back. I am in the hospitality industry and never in my life have been treated in such a manner. Do not waste your time here. So many better options to spend your time and money at with amazing hospitality. Only plus, the tagines were actually very tasty.

Had a lovely few days at Riad Amina, the staff were so kind and helpful (with excellent English which helped us as tourists). Our room was spacious and very clean, and the main space in the Riad was lovely and bright.

We arrived a few hours before check in hoping to leave our bags. The hosts were incredibly helpful and managed to sort our rooms early. Lovely breakfasts, traditionally Moroccan. The rooftop pool was a welcome addition in the summer heat and is perfectly adequate and big enough to sit in and cool down. There’s also around 6 sun beds on the roof top and a sofa, with further sofas and 2 double beds in a shaded covered area which we loved. The rooms weren’t exactly massive but were clean with a very comfy bed and a nice bathroom. The Riad is a 10 minute walk from the medina, just a few minutes walk from a range of restaurants & cafes, and 30 minute walk to a big Carrefore supermarket (there is a nearer one that doesn’t sell alcohol and there’s shops within 10 seconds walk that sells water, soft drinks, crisps etc). Very helpful hosts.

Having never been to Morocco or Marrakesh before, this was our first attempt, and we wanted to experience Riad life. Riad Amina really gave the vibe and atmosphere we pictured a Riad would have. Having booked airport transfer from Amina, was a fail as that order never came through, so we had a bit of a messy arrival late at night. However, the taxi system at the airport was so smooth that this did not cause us to lose hope. They had a ticket stall where you'd buy your taxi ticket, and then the queue of taxis would be organised to have an appropriate size car take us to our destination. As our Riad is located in the middle of the Old City, right at the border of the Medina, well hidden in a tight alley, it was difficult to spot in dark, and the taxi had to leave us a few blocks away, as cars cannot drive in these narrow alleys.
The staff were polite, not all eloquent in English, but hand gestures and finger pointing combined with our English and theirs, had us well covered in the end. Also, the front desk clerks were decent in English, but not always available. Our suites were in an adjacent building, on the third floor — stairs only. But that goes for most of Marrakech so prepare for (in) voluntary stepping exercises. The suites were decent size, clean and not fresh and modern, but that's not what we aimed for either. The place was fairly fully booked while we stayed there, which was apparent during breakfast hours, though service was good even with lots of people to serve.

Eight companions and I, spent a week there, excellent place and attention.
